Expect the unexpected. Taehyung was surely going to make this the motto of his life now. His life had become a rollercoaster suddenly. Each day was a new turn bringing unforeseen feelings with it. Just yesterday he had been so happy. He and Jungkook were going to be parents soon and this information had given them so much joy.
Everything had started getting better then why was his husband standing before him today with divorce papers in his hands. "Come downstairs in five minutes. Your dad will be coming soon." These were the only words Jungkook said before exiting the room. Taehyung just stood there frozen. His breath hitched while his hand automatically went towards his stomach.
Was leaving him and their child a part of Jungkook's revenge? Was he wrong to house hope in his heart again? These thoughts were killing him. He didn't want to return back to his father's house. How would he protect the child then? How would he make things right now? He didn't want to leave Jungkook. Heck! He wanted to stay with him for eternity.
Taking in a deep breath he wiped the tears from his face. "I'm not going to sign the divorce papers. I'm staying and that's final." He said to himself even though he was not confident at all.
With shaky steps he walked out of the room. His mind and heart both wishing for a miracle to happen. He wished for Jungkook to change his decision but what he didn't know was that Jungkook was also fighting with the same thoughts and feelings at the moment.
Jungkook glanced at Taehyung who was busy looking at the divorce papers with an unreadable look on his face. Ever since Taehyung came downstairs he had been silent and this was stressing the ravenette even more.

He must he happy now. Right? He didn't say even a single word against it. Jungkook you always expect things that are impossible. Don't you? He thought to himself smiling sadly at the possibilities but the sudden sound of footsteps brought him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see Han-Gyoel walking towards them while his eyes were glued on Taehyung.
Taehyung too stood up as soon as his eyes landed on the old man a habit he had developed with years of being disciplined. He froze as his father made his way towards him and hugged him out of the blue. "Always know the consequences of your actions" the venomous whispering of his father made his blood run cold from fear. He was so out of it that he didn't even realise when the old man separated himself from him and started patting his head.
The false show of affection was not new. It was common to have his father behave with him this way in front of others. It was a sad reality that had always disgusted him. "That's enough. You can have your father son moment after the work is done." Jungkook's voice brought him out of his dazed state. He turned towards the ravenette who was already staring at him.
"The contract between us is over. Now you will decide for yourself. If you want to leave me then sign the divorce papers and you'll be free to go back to your beloved father." With each word the anger in Jungkook's voice kept on increasing. He was trying his very best to control his feelings. The anger and insecurity in him was growing every minute. He looked away not wanting to see Taehyung while he signed those cursed papers.
Then suddenly he felt a magical touch as a hand intertwined with his. He looked towards the known warmth and saw Taehyung standing there with a comforting smile on his face. His heart started beating at an animalistic pace seeing that boxy smile. "I'm staying with you. You can't get rid of me now." Taehyung said still looking at him with his twinkling eyes. The ravenette just nodded his head happy to be in that beautiful trance. If it was a hallucination then he didn't want to come out of it.

"If my son wants to stay then I respect his decision. Take care of him Jeon otherwise I'll make your life a living hell." Han-Gyoel's voice snapped their attention towards him. Taehyung shuddered at his father's acting skills. No one could question his love for Taehyung with the level of performance he had been putting forward.
"I want to talk to my son once before leaving. Tae! Child come here." He looked at Taehyung with 'That look' which the boy knew too well. Feeling the similar fear creep up his heart he walked behind the man towards a secluded corridor.
Once Han-Gyoel was sure that no one was around he turned to face Taehyung who was looking like a scared puppy. "So you act like a man now. Suddenly you behave all courageously. Did you forget who your master is? Huh?" His voice was not high but the way he spoke was hella intimidating. Taehyung just wanted to run back to Jungkook and hide in his arms forever but that wouldn't change a thing. Right?
If he wanted to change things then he had to stay now. He had to speak his mind. So taking in a deep breath he said. "You can't control me anymore. I'm not going to let you ruin my life anymore. Your dirty ways won't help you now." His eyes held fire in them. The urge to protect his family had suddenly given him the confidence to face his worst fear.
Han-Gyoel was taken aback by the reply he got. It was totally unexpected and it had left him speechless. "You both are going to regret your actions. Keep that in mind." The old man said before scurring away form there. Seeing his father leave Taehyung sighed in relief.
He slowly made his way out of the empty corridor and went towards the parlour. As soon as his eyes met with Jungkook's he ran and then threw himself on the ravenette. He buried his face in the other's chest and smiled when two hands snaked around his body.
He felt safe in those arms. They held the comfort that no one else could provide him. Jungkook was not just the man he loved. He was much more than that. He was his home. He was his life itself.

He's a rock drummer, and his language is that of a rock drummer: slanged, duded, and frequently laced with profanity. He focuses on music, and makes decisions that even the author doesn't approve of. However, that means all his decisions are Kevin's decisions, not those of a system-optimizing power-gamer. There's points (All of Arc 2) where he wanders aimlessly. Goals seem foreign to him at points. What would you do if you were a musician, and the world fell apart and you no longer had an audience or band-mates. You'd be kinda lost. Kevin is. Arc 2 is a lot of Kevin not knowing what to do, going with the flow, and not being articulate enough to know that he doesn't know what to do. 1.
