*Flashback*

"Midoriya!" Todoroki runs to me, "Are you okay!?"

I get up from the ground coughing, "Yeah. How's everyone else?"

"The building collapsed on them, just like us."

I turn to see he's barely hurt, "Don't get me wrong Todoroki, I'm glad you're safe, but how are you not hurt?"

"I created a shield-like ice wall about above me, so it sort of protected me. I have a few scratches."

I nod, "Okay then now we have to find those villains, and try to look for the rest of the class."

"I agree, but we don't even know where those villains are exactly or the others."

"Then we have to be careful to not bump into the villains in order to not lead them to the others. There can be a chance they're hurt. We don't need the villains to finish them off."

Todoroki, and I look to each other as we nod. I've came to the realization I like Todoroki for a while now. I don't know how to approach that situation, but now more than ever I want to keep him safe.

The villains were hiding in here when we got word from a sighting of them meaning they might already know the layout of this place. Why were they even in here? How did they know we would come and have to make the building collapse? This building has been abandoned for a while, so they could've been using it as a hide out, and plant bombs just incase of an escape. In that case they should be hiding in a place they knew they'd be safe from pieces of the building falling on them.

"Todoroki look for areas where there's less of this rubble."

"Got it."

The building is kinda dark so Todoroki puts a flame to see better. I keep my quirk ready to use. I turn to see Todoroki focused and determine to find the others. Finally we turn to a corner from inside and see Uraraka who looks somewhat in good condition.

"Uraraka are you okay!?" I run to her.

"Yeah, just hurt my leg a bit." She limps for a bit.

"Here." Todoroki brings his flame closer to Uraraka's leg.

We can see the wound better. She seems to be bleeding from her thigh and has some rubble over it.

"You're bleeding of course, and might have a twist ankle. You don't have any visible broken bones." I tell her.

"Good. Are you okay to keep fighting?" Todoroki asks her.

She nods, "Yes. In fact I had Mineta and Mina behind me before the building collapsed."

"Oh great what way we're you three?" I get up from examining her leg.

"Follow me I'll lead you two."

We put Uraraka's arms around our necks to help her. It seems her arm might be injuried too, so Todoroki let's go of her arm.

Eraserhead, and the other pros teachers should be here any minute. All might won't though...he hasn't been able to fight this many criminals since he lost One for All.

Ever since then he's only been able to help in other ways. If we're lucky maybe just one small criminal, but the league of villains? He won't be able to do anything.

"Sorry you, hideous mangosteen...well actually I'm not, so bye!" The villain, Himiko Toga, drops Mineta from the building we're in.

In shock we see as he falls from a broken window and see the other villain, Dabi, use his quirk on what I guess to burn Mineta as he falls.

"You fucking bastards!" Todoroki gets ready to use both of his quirks.

The two turn at us and laugh.

"Well hello Izuku!" Toga blushes. She sees the others, "Ochako! Todoroki! How are you all!?" She smiles.

"Shoto Todoroki." Dabi has a blue flame in his hand.

The two get on the ledge of the window. Todoroki starts to slowly freeze the ground in order to not make the building fall in more Incase some of the others are on the floors underneath us.

"We'd love to stay and chat, but we have to go!" Toga says.

The two casually let themselves fall back from the window, and fall out the building. The three of us run to see if they did what we think they did. The only body we see is, what we guess, Mineta's on the ground. It's hard to see it from how high up we are. After a few moments later we are met up with some pros who managed to get the hurt students, Iida, Kirishima, Denki, Mina, and a few others, out. We gather outside and see a body bag being loaded into a vehicle.

We lost a classmate. It truly happened.

We all stay silent. I see Uraraka walking away.

I understand this is hard to see. We were the ones to see his last moments. He wasn't well liked, but it brings us to the reality we can be killed.

Our love ones can be killed.

Since this was the L.O.V. the top 5 heroes, Endeavor, Hawks, Best Jeanist, Edgeshot, and Mirko are here. They try their best to look around the area for the villains, but nothing is found.

Kurogiri might've use his quirk as an escape.

Uraraka comes back as well and says she threw up from how traumatizing it was. Forward a few weeks, and Mineta's death made me realize that I can't waste time. If I'm going to be the number one hero it means I'll most likely have more death experiences, so I should tell Todoroki now. I try to prepare myself.

"Hey Todoroki?" I walk up to him once class finished.

"Yes?"

"Um..."

It's okay just tell him. I'm sure he won't do anything bad. What's the worst that'll happen? He's homophobic and humiliate me? I doubt he'll do that. I mean there's other queer people in our class. Like Kacchan...and well Kirishima too. Oh Momo, and Jirou as well how could I forget. Asui too. Denki...well he's questionable, Aoyama is asexual, and Mina is aromantic, so I doubt he'd be homophobic. He is around them so yeah it'll be okay. Realistically he could just reject me, and I could've ruined our friendship making us not talk to each other ever again...okay maybe I shouldn't do this.

"Midoriya are you okay? If you're not feeling well you can tell me, and I'll tell you a pressure point to help." He wonders.

I laugh, "No I'm fine."

Or maybe I'm overthinking it.

I relax a bit, "Todoroki," I pause for a second, "I like you."

I feel my face heat up.

"Well yes I know." He responds.

"Wait what!?" I get surprised.

Luckily everyone else has left, and couldn't hear me.

"Well if you didn't like me, and you hated me instead, we wouldn't be friends." He seems serious in his answer.

I laugh again, "Todoroki that's not what I mean." I sit next to him, "I mean...like I have a crush on you."

"Oh. Why?" He seems kind of shocked, but also confused.

"You make me happy and laugh. Then anytime I'm around you it makes things better, although you make me nervous at times." I chuckled as I put my hand over my stomach.

"I make you happy?" That tends to get his attention.

"Of course."

"Um, so then are you asking me out? Sorry I'm not used to this." He fidgets with his pencil.

"If you want to go out then...yes."

"I'm not sure how to be in a relationship, but I do feel a certain way when I'm with you, Midoriya. If you don't mind that then, I'd like to go out with you as well."

I get so happy. I get filled with joy.

"I don't mind at all!" I smile.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" He offers.

Two months later we get a new kid, named Y/n L/n. She seems like a quiet, introverted, girl. The majority of the class surrounds her. I remember when I first got here and everyone introduced themselves to me.

I should probably wait if I want to introduce myself. I don't want her to feel overwhelmed on her first day.

After class I decided to introduce myself, "Hi, you're L/n correct?"

"Yes, and I'm guessing you're Midoriya?" She gives me a small smile.

"Yes that's me." I turn to see Todoroki walking to me, "Oh and this is my boyfriend, Shoto Todoroki."

"Nice to meet you L/n. I hope you had a great first day here." Shoto greets L/n.

L/n just nods her head.

She seems really nice.

"We should get to training." Shoto looks to me.

"L/n do you know where to go? We're training so we have to get in our hero costumes, do you have one?"

"Yes I know where to go, and no I don't have a costume yet."

"Hm, well maybe Mr.Aizawa will let you know what to wear. Maybe the gym uniform?"

"Yeah I guess so." She laughs a little.

I give her a smile. We all head to the changing rooms. When we get out, as I expected, I see L/n in the gym uniform. She's also surrounded by the girls.

"Hey, can you all give me a bit space? I don't like being touched." I over hear her say.

Some girls ignore it others give her space as she asked. Yaoyorozu and Jirou back away and talk to one another.

They've been spending so much time together. Makes sense they are dating.

I look over to Shoto. He's with Bakugou, who is arguing with the others as always. I take out my notebook, and write L/n's name down.

Y/n L/n

Classmate (possible friend???)

Quirk: ??? (Unknown atm)

Age: ??

Details: Doesn't like be touched. (So ask before doing so or simply don't)

I quickly sketch her. As I look up to look at her as I draw she sees me. I panic.

Great now she thinks you're some creep.

I drop my head. Todoroki comes behind me, and hugs me.

"Hi."

"Hey, what are you doing?" I ask him.

He isn't normally affectionate. Especially in front of others.

"Mm, I don't know. I just felt like being next to you a lot."

I smile and kiss his arm thats across my chest. For a couple of weeks L/n hasn't used her quirk. She's just been using hand to hand combat. Luckily we haven't gone against each other much.

I guess it was Mr.Aizawa's orders? Unless she's quirkless, but then how did she get into this school? If they made her use the same entry exam as the rest of us she couldn't have done it with out a quirk. Maybe she has been using it, and it's just not noticable? Or maybe she got into this school through recommendations? Doesn't she still have to do some type of entry exam though?

A month after, Y/n has finally got their hero costume. I can't say we're exactly friends, but we have talked to where she doesn't mind me calling her Y/n instead of L/n. Although she still calls me Midoriya, but she hasn't really called others by their first names either really. Even Uraraka has been trying to be friends with her. I wrote down in my notebook she isn't really extroverted with the class, and she's a good fighter. We had rescue training, and got to see Y/n's quirk. I wrote down her quirk ability, although I don't know too much about it, after rescue training.

I hope I can talk about it more with her.

The next day it was the first time Y/n fought against the class.

"Y/n are you nervous? This is your first time fighting against the class. Ribbit." Asui asks her.

"Not really." Y/n seems so calm about this.

Even the other's aren't as calm as her.

"Wow, Y/n, you're that confident?" I ask.

"Guess so."

If we get to fight against each other, I'll be able to learn more about her quirk...so much more. I'll need her to use her full power on me, if I want to know more about it.

Finally, Y/n and I got to fight. I told her to use her full quirk on me.

Her quirk is soooo much more than it appears. She's like Todoroki in a way. She has more than one quirk. Maybe her parents? In that case she has special limits, other wise she'd have two whole quirks which no one has ever had. Even for Todoroki has limits such as he needs his other side to cool him down, or warm him up. Y/n knows then. She knows what I'm most scared of. I need to talk to her. No one else can know.

After the whole situation people are worried for me. Y/n's quirk is traumatizing. It felt so real. As if All might's dead body was truly in front of me. It was also like one of those 360 videos. You could see anywhere, left to right, or up to down. Days later after many nightmares, and Todoroki comforting me, I decide to talk to Y/n in private.

"Why are we here?" She asks.

"I wanted...to talk about what happened when we fought."

She smiles, "Your true fear?"

"Yeah." I say in a low voice.

"What about it?" She leans on the wall.

We're behind the main school building, where hopefully no one finds us.

I mean this is where most of couples come to make out and they haven't been caught. At least not Kirishima, Momo, I, and our partners haven't. So it should be okay about this right?

"Are you going-"

She cuts me off, "I'm not telling anyone anything. Since when have I been one to do that sort of thing?"

"Yeah guess it was stupid to ask. I just wanted to be sure."

"Yeah well your boyfriend was stupid to leave me wounded like this. You were the one who said to give you all I got." Y/n grabs her side from where Shoto burned her.

"Sorry about that-"

"Why are you sorry? You didn't burn me."

"I know but...still."

"Still what? I told you it was Todoroki who did it not you. Stop being sorry for things you didn't do." Y/n walks away.

On the first week of the dorms, the couples unsurprisingly were given rules, but most of it were for f/m couples, which clearly most of the couples didn't need. As long as no one snitched, we wouldn't get caught doing things we weren't supposed to do. Of course though we still tried following the rules to not get caught by the teachers.

They put a bunch of teenagers grouped together, so of course they'd think we'd try to do something.

I hear a knock on my door. I go to open it.

"Hey Izuku." Todoroki comes one my room as he gives me a kiss.

"Hi Shoto. What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to check up on you." He sits on my bed.

He looks at my homework.

"I'm fine. As you can see I was just trying to do some work."

"Oh sorry I'll let you work on it. I'll go." He's about to stand up.

"No need. I was going to take a break either way." I grin.

"Here let me help you relax. I feel bad for the nightmares you've been having." He moves to the side of my bed signaling me to lay down.

I do so, and he raises the back of my shirt. He puts lotion on my back.

"Ah Shoto it's cold." I laugh.

"Oh sorry. I should've warned you when I was going to put it on."

"It's fine. It feels nice."

He smiles, "I'm glad it does."

He continues to rub the lotion on my back. He then proceeds to pop my back, and any other bones. It relaxes me so much it makes me on the verge of sleeping. When he is done he puts the back of my shirt down, and we cuddle. I lay on top of him and he hugs me.

He runs his fingers through my hair, "Go ahead and sleep if you have a bad dream I'll be right here."

He gives me a kiss on my head and I rest my head on his chest. I've been so restless from the nightmares, but at least I know more about Y/n's quirk. I giggle as I fall asleep. When I wake up I see Shoto asleep as well still hugging me. I look at his grey shirt.

Hm, he looks so cute. He's so protective...but he needs to apologize to Y/n. It was because of my desire to know more about their quirk I told her to use her full power. Although it was a competition, so whether or not I told her she most likely would've. Either way what Todoroki did wasn't good.

Todoroki wakes up, "Hey."

He stretches.

"Hi sweetheart. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes. Did you?"

"Yeah. I had no nightmares this time."

"I'm glad." He hugs me, "That bitch went over board with her quirk she-"

"About that," I cut him off before he could finish his sentence, "You need to apologize to her."

He lets go off me, "What? She's the one who should be apologizing."

"No. I told her to use everything she had. She did. I literally asked- No, I told her to, and she did. Even if she didn't do it because I said it was a competition."

"Yeah, against classmates. There's a limit when you do these competitions."

"Okay. Let's go with that. Don't you think you past that limit too?"

"What?" He looks shocked.

"Yeah. It was clear you only burned her for payback for what she did to me, and if you're going to claim you didn't do it for that reason then you burned her that badly for no reason, and according to you wouldn't have you crossed the limit that are in these competitions?"

"No! If I did Mr.Aizawa would've said something!"

"So wouldn't he have done the same if Y/n passed the limit?"

Shoto stays quiet.

"Just go apologize to her okay?" I give him a kiss on his forehead.

I get off the bed, and continue to do my homework. Shoto heads to his room.

*End of flashback*

I head inside to where Todoroki went. I see him in the eating area. I sit next to him.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm sorry Izuku."

"Why?"

"We have to break up."

What? No. He doesn't want me anymore?

I stay silent for a while.

"You know you still have to give Y/n a genuine apology, right?" It was the only thing I could say.

Todoroki gets up, "Yeah I know."

He walks to the door. I remain sitting on the table processing everything.

"I'm sorry." He leaves.

"Heh, Shoto Todoroki" I laugh under my breath.

I guess that's it. No more us. My first boyfriend, the first guy I loved, gone. Guess Bakugou won he at least liked me for a longer time.

I laugh.

He always liked winning. Well now there just two couples in class.

I look at my hand. My tear drops to it.

Stop crying. It won't solve anything. Just focus now. Focus on being the number one hero...as if I'm not just saying that to use it as a distraction.

I clean off my tears. I rethink of all the moments Todoroki and I had. Our first date. The first time we held hands. First kiss. Our first time.

I love him so much.

I continue to wipe my tears as more come out.
