Le Tatou à trois bandes est un petit animal D' AMÉRIQUE DU SUD.
Le corps des tatous est protégé par une carapace de plaques osseuses recouvertes de corne.
Trois bandes transversales conservent à la carapace une mobilité suffisante pour que l'animal puisse se rouler en boule en cas de danger.
C'est un animal fouisseurs, omnivore, et pourvu de dents.
La femelle donne toujours naissance à 12 bébé tatous jumeaux et de même classe ( soit que des filles, soit que des garçons ).
