Chapter 40

Aurora's POV

After two hours of blood, sweat, and tears, and lots of cursing and threats to Caine and Thaddeus about having them by their balls for putting me through this, one of the pups arrives. It was a chubby and beautiful healthy boy, it was Caines boy.

The doctor hands the baby over to one of the nurses, where she takes him and cleans him up, and checks to see that he is okay. Caine goes over to them and watches as they clean him up. He had a smile on his face and a single tear ran down his cheek which he wiped with the back of his hand. I smiled as I watched him look over our son.

His cries could be heard around the room as the nurses worked on cleaning him. My mother and Laurel rushed to the side of Caine to see the new pup with smiles and tears on their face. Roger stayed on the sofa as he prayed and thanked the Moon Goddess for safe delivery. Thaddeus had Ben and his parents on facetime as they cheered and congratulated us on our first pup.

I shut my eyes close immediately when another cramp makes my body tremble. I freeze and I growl in pain. It felt like at the smallest inhale of breath I would rip apart. Caine and Thaddeus were right next to me, holding both my hands as I was squeezing them because of the pain that was ravaging my entire body.

"Shit" Thaddeus mutters. "My bones have been crushed and healed a good eight times already" Thaddeus chuckled as he kissed me on my temple. I rolled my eyes at his comment, making sure to give him a good playful ass beat when I recuperate from giving birth.

Doctor Miller checked and nodded at me. "Luna, are you ready to push again? the other pup is on its way!"

Did I have a choice in this? This pup was coming to this world, whether I was ready to push or not. I nodded at Doctor Miller and began to push. After ten minutes of pushing, the pup arrived. It was a beautiful and healthy baby girl and she was moving a lot when the doctor held her up. My beautiful daughter with Thaddeus. The nurse grabs her from the doctor and cleans her up well before placing her in Thaddeus' arms. His smile said it all, his eyes were teary and a tear ran down his cheek as he watched his fuzzy daughter in his arms with curiosity and amazement. I knew that she was going to be very spoiled by him and us. Laurel helps him with the phone so that his parents and Ben can see her. I can hear them cheering and congratulating us on our healthy baby girl.

Caine picks up the boy before laying him on my chest. Thaddeus does the same with our daughter, both pups go for my nipples as they begin to drink the milk. I was crying tears of joy and happiness as I watched my two strong and healthy pups drink from me. Thaddeus and Caine were right by my side, watching with teary eyes and smiles. My mother and Laurel stood next to them. I could see my mom and Laurel holding on to each other as they too cried tears of joy.

The pain was over and I was filled with nothing but joy and this new feeling of love that I couldn't explain yet, but it was so much a pure and lovely yet strong emotion. I was now a mother, to two strong-willed pups and I was in love with them. They were both so perfect and they were ours. "You did amazing Princess, I'm proud of you, my Luna" Thaddeus whispers as he kisses me tenderly. I lean into him and Caine kisses my hand.

"You did amazing baby, you are going to be an amazing mother to our pups" Caine whispered as he kisses me on my lips too before looking down at the pups and kissing both of them on the head. Thaddeus does the same to both pups.

I was happy to see how welcoming they both were of each other's pups. It was a strange thing for anyone watching us. It's not normal for werewolves to be mated like we were mated. It was hard enough to be mated to a male werewolf, but I was mated to two and they were Alphas who hated each other in the beginning. But seeing how they were now with each other and each other's pups made me happy. The Moon Goddess definitely made no mistakes here.

"Okay, We will leave you guys be, I know our Luna needs to rest.", Laurel says as she turns around and grabs Roger who was still crying. "I have another baby to take care of" Laurel jokes as she leaves the room with a very emotional Roger.

The nurses cleaned me up and my mother helped in the process. After the nurses were finished with the clean-up and making sure that I was okay, they left the room along with all the equipment that they brought in to help with the birth.

My mom took a little peek at both of the pups as they were still hungrily drinking milk. Werewolf pups were a lot stronger and hungrier than human babies where so the fact that they were both still drinking from me was normal. I was in a lot of pain though.

"They are both so beautiful my darling, I am so proud of you. You were so strong and you still are. You are going to be the best mother. And you two!" my mother turns to Caine and Thaddeus, "take good care of her, now more than ever, and congratulations. You two will be great fathers." She says with a smile before turning around and leaving. ." My mother spoke softly as tears of joy ran down her cheeks. She kissed me on my cheek before she leaves to go to her room.

She had planned to stay for a few weeks to help me with the pups, and so did Laurel. I was thankful for this because I knew nothing on how to raise these pups and neither did the boys. We read all the baby books and sought information from the internet, but nothing prepares you for when they arrive.

It was now just the pups and their fathers with me. There was a peaceful silence in the room.

"I guess now it's a good time for names?" I say and the baby boy looks up at me as he finishes drinking the milk. His eyes slowly close as he falls asleep.

Caine touches his son's soft and rosy cheek with the back of his finger. "Bjorn, I really like that name for him, what do you think Aura?" He asks as his eyes look for mines. I lift my gaze up at Caine and nod. I love that name and it fits him well.

Bjorn had long blonde eyelashes and he had his father's bright blue-greenish eyes. His nose and lips were mines but for the rest, he looked like this father. He was a calm baby boy. One thing about newborn pups was that they could sleep all day, and eat for an entire day as well.

"Now for our baby girl," I say with a smile as I turn to Thaddeus who was looking at his daughter with amazement as she held on to his finger with her tiny hands.

"She is strong!" He smiles at me as she grips his finger towards her. She was looking at me and Thaddeus with intense and curious eyes when a small smile forms on her small lips. I could have sworn my heart exploded when I witnessed her smile at us.

"Thara, I would like to name our daughter Thara," I said as I caressed her face softly before kissing her. She too had her father's eyes, and her skin was a beautiful olive color, like mines. Her hair was a mixture of dark red and black strands. She was moving around a lot and I could tell that out of the two pups she was going to be the more active pup.

Thaddeus smiles at me before his eyes go back to his daughter. "I like that name, it fits our little princess," Thaddeus says before kissing the top of her small head and she makes a cute little noise.

"Bjorn and Thara...welcome to our world."

It has now been a few months and the pups were now running around causing all kinds of cute chaos around the house and pack. They were growing rather fast. A lot faster than the last generation of pups. My mom and Laurel were constantly astounded with the things that pups would do as it was "not normal" for them to be doing such things at this age.

The pups surprised everyone that would witness them playing and exploring. I too would see how different they were. It seemed as if they both would conversate through a mind link. This was impossible for pups as the mind link gift was developed when a werewolf would reach maturity at the age of seventeen.

"You are deep in thought again, babe" Caine interrupts me from my thoughts as he sits next to me with a sandwich in his hands. He takes a bite out of it before offering it to me to eat. I gladly take it as I bite into the delicious food. "They are both healthy, strong, and they have a strong will to explore and to know about the world. We should be happy.''

"I- I know that" I replied softly. "And I am happy that my pups are happy and healthy, but I can't help but to worry about them, I am their mother, I think it's normal to worry about my pups"

"I worry too you know" Caine spoke. "Aurora, you need to understand that we are not ordinary werewolves, both you and I are not only werewolves, but we are Lycans too, do not forget that babe, remember our senses are heightened to the max. Now imagine what it is like for them? They were both born with both blood's cruising through their veins."

Taking a deep breath, I turn to Caine who was busy watching Thara and Bjorn playing. "That is why I worry Caine. Because I don't know what to expect with them-"

"We don't expect anything from them Aurora. We just love them and guide them to be the best werewolves that they can be. To be good and do good to others and to live their best of lives. Aurora I didn't have any of this growing up. I didn't have my mother to love me and nurture me, and my father was doing experiments on me at this age. I want to be different. I want to give them everything that I didn't have, to protect them and to love them. I will give my all to make sure that they don't have the childhood that I had because no pups deserve that Aurora." I could still sense a hint of hurt in his voice as he spoke. He was right about everything, our pups were blessed to have us as parents. Parents that loved them and will do anything to protect them.

"I agree with Caine. Our pups are a blessing and soon enough we will see all of their gifts. They are both special and I truly believe that they were both a gift from the Moon Goddess herself where she personally picked them for us to protect them and love them as they walk this earth. They are two little stubborn ones though, but I can tell that they will both be great leaders and I want to guide them both in life." Thaddeus cuts in as he sits next to me and kisses me on the forehead.

"You are both right, you both know I didn't have the chest childhood growing up. I didn't even know my father and my mother were going through abuse to protect me from him. They are blessed to have us as we are blessed too. The Moon Goddess makes no mistakes."

Caine, Thaddeus, and I look at each other and smile before they both move closer to me and embrace me. Thara and Bjorn look at us and they smile wide before running and jumping on us. Bjorn jumped on my lap and Thara cuddled up to Thaddeus. Caine ruffled Bjorn's head as Bjorn crawled from my lap onto Caine's arms and Thara laughed at something in the woods. I looked but couldn't see anything there.

Thara then lifts up her tiny and chubby finger and points towards the dark area in the woods. Caine, Thaddeus, and I fall silent as she seems to be very focused on whatever it is that she is seeing. Caine places Bjorn on my lap and Bjorn cuddles up to my chest. I lift up my blouse and he immediately latches on to my nipple and begins to drink my milk.

Caine and Thaddeus begin to slowly walk towards the area as if they were stalking prey.

"Do you hear or smell anything?" Thaddeus asks Caine through the mind link. Caine shakes his head as his eyes turn red. The Lycan in him now showing signs his eyes were focused on the bushes as everything stood still.

Thaddeus turns back to look at me and mind links me to get inside with the pups. I already had Bjorn in my arms, as I go to grab Thara she escapes my hold and runs towards her father and Caine.

Thaddeus tried to grab her but she giggles as she maneuvers around him. Caine calls out to her but she was not listening as she ran towards the bushes. She stops midway and turns back to us.

"No more monster"

We all froze when she spoke those words.

Caine and Thaddeus look at each other before their eyes look back at me. I was sure that their expression matched mines.

Our daughter spoke her first words and they were not what we were expecting to hear at all.

"My baby just...she just said her first words!" I was happy to have finally heard her little voice but I wish it could have been 'Mommy or dadda" not. "No more monster."

Thaddeus kneels down next to her. "There was a monster there?" He asks and she nods with a smile on her face. "Why were you not scared of this monster Thara?' He asks and she shrugs her small little shoulders.

Thaddeus picks her up and walks over to me carefully. "Let us go inside the house."

"I will be right there, I need to scout the area and see if I pick up anything, you guys go inside and make sure the doors are locked. I got my keys"

Thaddeus nods before he hurries us inside the house, he kisses me on the lips before reassuring me.

"I am sure it's nothing but we are not taking any risks. Alright, you two, bath time!"

The two pups growled before they started running around trying to get out of bath time.
