The cells were a place that no wolf would want to be at. The fact that these were no ordinary cells scared the enemy even more.

They would think of the cells as an old dungeon. Cold, dark and dirty. But the cells were different. It was clean, sterile, and cold. What the enemy didn't know what was underneath this place. A hell that I couldn't escape from. And the place where I created everything that I had to create to keep my pack and my people safe.

I sat in front of her, with Beta Ally next to me. I scanned her closely as her body shook, and her heart beat was going a thousand miles per minute, and her eyes focused on her hands. She was being submissive and quiet. The total opposite of how she was when I first met her on that night.

Her top name brand shirt was all torn and dirty, and her pants were ripped. She smelled dirty and her hair was messy and matted. I wondered if this was my sisters doing or if she was already running from something.

"I'm not going to sit here and smile to you or try to make you feel comfortable because you lost that right when you got my people killed, so...I suggest that you tell me everything that you know now because your time is very limited, and my wolf is starting to lose his patience with you". I threatened and I felt my eyes change to their red color.

Lena just sat there quietly. Looking at her hands as if they were the most interesting things on her.

"FUCKING TALK!" I growled as I slammed my fist on the metal table, making a dent in the middle of it. She shrieked but her eyes never rose to meet mines. She was being submissive and I wasn't sure what to make of it.

The old me would have been smirking at this. But this new me can't help but to feel bad for this woman. But was she playing stupid or was she really scared. I didn't care, I needed answers.

"Where is Malaky and how did he helped you?

Silence again. "Lena, you have to give me something" I threatened. "How. Did you and your men. Managed to go up that white water river? Who guided you there?-"

"Alpha Caine" he calls from the door. "Luna Aurora and Alpha Thaddeus will be arriving here shortly" Elijah informs before I turn around to face Aurora again. I was frustrated but I didn't show it.

Beta Ally gets up from the chair and I do the same. I follow right after her, letting the heavy metal door close behind me.

"Maybe if you didn't yell at her she would be talking right now Caine," Ally spat as she ran her hands through her hair in frustration.

"How would you know if she is playing stupid? huh? Ally, I don't have pity for someone that's responsible for the lost lives of pups and elders, your people!" I yelled at her and she jumped slightly. "And did you forget that there is a fucking rat in our pack? Or what? You think I'm gonna let that go as if it's nothing? I am getting my answers today!"

"I apologize...but maybe you shouldn't be using your Alpha voice like that!"

I came close to her face at this point. "Don't you ever question me, And don't you ever fucking tell me about how to get shit done. Don't forget that two pups died because of her, that Laurel's nephew was killed and your Luna was kidnapped and almost sold off by her father to fucking sex-addicted freaks! Or do you not care at all about that?" I was yelling at the top of my lungs at this point. I couldn't believe I was having this argument right now with my beta. The person that was supposed to be on my side specially after all of this that has happened.

"Then Alpha Thaddeus is equal to blame here too!" She yelled back. I could tell that she was holding on to a lot of anger. "If he hadn't been here she would have never set foot in this place! You know this Caine! If you had never gone to that fucking stupid Game none of this would have happened!!!

"ITS FUCKING HAPPENED!" I yelled to the top of my lungs to the point that the windows rattled. "There could have been no way of knowing this! We know that she was working with someone and that someone is inside our pack still, and that's what we need to figure out Ally! And what the fuck are you talking about Ally? I fucking went to the game because it was my only choice-"

"Wow, back to first name bases huh?"

We both turn to find Aurora standing by the door with Thaddeus next to her. She was mad, and I could sense it from our bond.

"Don't worry, it seems like you two have some important things to discuss, we can come back later."

But there was nothing soft about the look that she gave me. And I knew I had fucked up. I don't know how, but I know I did. I felt it all.

I move back a little and watch as Aurora walks past us without giving me a glance. She goes into the interrogation room and closes the door behind her.

Now it was just Thaddeus, myself, and Ally in the hallway. It was awfully quiet until Ally excused herself and leaves the cells.

"How much did she heard?" I ask Thaddeus who is looking at the grey wall in front of him. His expression was blank. I smelled a little bit of Aurora on him and I knew that he went at it earlier. I felt a bit jealous but now it wasn't the time to be worried about that now.

"You guys weren't exactly quiet you know." Thaddeus replies softly. I knew that he didn't care about what had just happened. He was tense. I could feel him. He was shaking and I knew that he was trying hard to calm his wolf. He takes a deep breath. "She is more mad that you were addressing her for her first name and not by Beta"

"Shit"

I lean back against the wall as I watch Aurora talk to Lena from the mirrored window that Thaddeus was trying to avoid looking into.

I could sense this darkness coming from him.

Lena kept her eyes down to her hands the whole. Not once did she dare to look up to me.

"Tear her apart"

My wolf taunted and I shook my head. She wasn't mines to kill.

"I need to know, if my father reached out to you"

Silence.

"What was the reason for all of this? Was Malaky with you?"

Silence again.

"Please...two pups were killed. They had nothing to do with any of this, they didn't have to die that way. They were innocent! They didn't need to die like that?" I begged her. Still she said nothing.

I was slowly losing my patience with her and I was beginning to feel my canines elongate.

"Do you love Thaddeus?"

She lifted her eyes up to me then.

"Do you?" I ask again.

"He is the only person I am willing to speak to. I will not talk to you bastard bitch"

"Excuse me?" I raised my tone.

"I said what I said. Why do you think your father cares so little about you?" She cracks a smile and I wanted to snap her neck.

And just her luck the door opens up and Caine walks in. Lena looks down to her hands again.

"The only person I will speak with will be, Thaddeus"

"I don't think that will be a good idea" Caine cuts in as he leans back on the wall. "He only wants to see your face when he is ready to snap your neck off" Caine states simply as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"He needs to hear me out!" Lena cries out as she stands up from the chair. "He needs to hear me out!" she screams.

"Is that what you want! Fine! You want to talk to him! Fine! But if you get too fucking close I'm running in here and I'll kill you myself!" I threaten her as I get up from the chair and leave the room.

I go out to the hallway and Thaddeus looks at me as I slam the door to the interrogation cell.

"She not talking huh?"

"Nope" I reply as I run my hands through my curly hair.

"She is definitely protecting someone". Thaddeus adds as he scratches the stubble on his chin.

"Who do you think?"

"Could be the rat that's here. She could be getting threats from the rat? We still haven't figured out who it is. Maybe we she will tell us in ten seconds" Thaddeus says as he stands up straight and walks past me.

"Where are you going?!"

"She don't wanna talk and I don't want to have to deal with her for another second" Thaddeus says without looking at me. He opens the door and I see him from the double mirror.

Caine stands by me quietly as we both watch Thaddeus pull the chair back and sit in front of the metal table. I watch as he flexes his back. A sign that his wolf wanted to come out.

My body was still. But my wolf wanted to claw his way out. I felt the darkness in me, swirling inside my chest like a snake that was begging for vengeance.

Lena sat there tense. I knew that she could feel me. knew that her wolf could feel mines too. She played with her nails, she was focused on them.

"I'm here, so what do you want to tell me?"

Goddess I hated her.

She lifted her eyes to me softly, she looked like she had been crying. Her nose was red and puffy.

"They killed him".

"Who killed who?"

"My-my mate...". A single tear ran down her pale cheek. "My mate went to find me...he was from my fathers pack. She gasped as if she needed air. "but my father.." she let out a sob.

"He had his beta's men kill him"

She brought her hands up to her face and covered her eyes. Her nails were dirty and broken. "He didn't have to do that" she sobbed.

I couldn't feel bad for her. Even if I tried. Lena was a woman of zero feelings. Manipulative, vicious. I remembered the day that she and her girls beat up a human girl just because the human girl accidentally spilled her drinks on her. I couldn't feel bad. Everything that Lena was going through was karma. Who was I to get in the way of that. And let's not forget the crimes that her and her father would commit in order to be elected again as a politician.

"Take me back please. It all hurts so much, I can't handle-"

"You must be out of your god damn mind if you think I'm going to do that" I stated simply as I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"Of course, I forget that you are now mated to that damn weakling bitch-"

She didn't have to finish that sentence when I grab her by the arm and drag her out of the cell. I walk past a calm looking Caine and a very freaked out Aurora. I continued to walk until we reached the doors that lead outside.

I kicked them open and continued to drag Lena who was screaming and protesting the whole way. Her feet digging into the muddy ground since it had rained the night before.

Little by little, pack members started to gather around us as we walked up the hill on the side of the pack house.

"Stop!" She screamed as I let her fall to the cold wet ground.

From the corner of my eye I see Laurel walking towards us. Her hands were around a woman a bit younger than her, but they both looked alike. I was guessing that was her sister, Roger's mother.

In minutes the whole pack was around us, quietly watching as Lena tried to get up and claw at me. She got my arm good, making it bleed instantly but my hand found her neck again and I squeezed tight.

I turn my head to Caine's pack and see their faces of approval. To humans this might seem like a horrible things to do. But to Wolves this was a way of survival. Of justice specially for the parents of the pups.

"This woman, is responsible for the deaths of pups and other pack members. She refuses to give information on the rat that's hiding in this park and she refuses to give any information on who helped her. This pack was attacked, your Luna got kidnapped and innocent lives were taken. Lena, will be an example today, that you do not hurt our pack and get to live to talk about it."

Caines as well as Aurora's pack members were nodding in agreement. Some people cheered, while others stood there, looking at Lena through the most hateful eyes.

"Thaddeus please!" Lena begged as she crouched down on the ground, lowering her head in submission.

"You let your arrogance and your hatred for others get the best of you, and innocent people paid the price. This is also a message for the rat in the pack...that even if you don't want to give us a name, sooner or later we will find out who he or she is, and they will pay for what they had done" I growled. "Lift your head up!" I ordered roughly.

"This is your last chance Lena. Tell us who helped you and you will go down at least with some honor."

Lena looked at me before she started laughing loudly. From the corner of my eye I see Caine holding Aurora back. I could feel her anger through our bond as it through me and I knew that if I didn't kill Lena, Aurora would do it. Caine gave me nod.

I let my wolf take over. My claws grew and my fangs elongated to their normal wolf size. I felt my body grow stronger but so did the rage I felt inside. Signaling that my wolf was awake and ready to serve justice.

Caine step forward, his eyes were bright yellow and his claws were out, I could see the veins on his face and his arms showing brightly. His wolf was pumped up for this. I didn't have to look up to see Aurora since I could feel her pumped up wolf too.

"In the deaths of two pups, soldiers and elders. You are sentenced to death. I have sent a letter to the Committee and they have approved our decision to do so. Any crimes like death or pack members and kidnapping specially of a Luna, is to be punishable by death. Is there anything you want to say?" Caine voice could be heard everywhere, his eyes were on her as her body shook as if she was sobbing but she just started to laugh again.

Lena pointed at me and then at Caine. "This pack and the new pack that your little bitch will be forming will be a joke! She is no Alpha and she isn't from Alpha blood!"

"What do you mean?" Aurora comes forward and stands next to me, as we both look down at Lena.

"You can't be that dense now can you? Your father is not really your father...why do you think he doesn't care for you! Or your drug-addicted mother-"

It all happened to fast but Aurora fist connected with Lenas face so hard that it sent her flying backwards. Aurora holds her ground and turns to look at me. I can see the tears swelling in her eyes and I grab her, pulling her close to me. Caine comes from the other side and embraces her before pulling her away.

For some reason, I believe Lena. Just because it makes sense. Aurora looked nothing like her father, and Alphas tend to be protective of their daughters. Alpha Victor tried to have Aurora sold off in the hands of dirty pigs, I believe Lena but she had to die now. I didn't wanted to hear anything else from her.

Lena was on her feet now, her head held up high as if she had done something to be proud of.

"Kill her"

My wolf kept on repeating himself inside my head.

My hands went up to either side of her head and I held on tight to it as my eyes were staring straight at hers.

"You...used to be a cold-blooded killer" Lena whispered just enough for me to hear.

I said nothing just looked at her bright blue eyes, hoping that she could see the anger and hatred that I had for her.

"You used to be the big bag wolf that was feared all over Europe...now you have turned into the bitch of an Alpha with bigger claws than you, that at any moment he can just 'poof' kill you and keep that little bastard bitch to himself"

I let out a laugh. I was amused by her, I wasn't going to give her the satisfaction to see the last of me angry. She gave me a confused look.

"Good bye Lena"

I wish I could have tortured her, but that was the old me. I wanted to let that dark side of me die with her. My hands pressed hard on her skull, and in one quick motion I snapped her neck. I watch as her eyes roll back and her body falls to the ground.

No one said a word. No one gasped, screamed, or cheered. No one said anything. Because there was nothing to say or win here. The pups wouldn't come back to life. Laurel won't see her nephew again, soldiers and elders won't be coming back to their families.

What we did prove was that we were not a pack to be messed with. What happened here today will be spread around the world. Showing any pack that we are not the ones to mess with. That we would do anything to protect our own. And I knew that our rat was watching. I wanted him or her to see, that we were closer to figuring out who it is now more than ever.

That was the plan that Caine shared with me. We were now to keep a close eye on everyone that was of high ranking and worked close to him.

And I sure hope it worked because I felt much joy snapping her neck, something that I hope I wouldn't feel that feeling again, but I did.
