The rain was falling hard against the glass windows, and the thunder in the back was getting louder. The storm seemed to be passing right over us.

I was making a hole on the floor from my constant pacing back and forth. The candle that was burning softly on the night table was almost out and I was growing desperate by the minute. Rogue attacks could happen at any pack, at any time but this didn't sounded like any ordinary attack.

Caine made sure that his pack was safe as he ordered two of his guards to watch over me, right outside his bedroom doors.

"I have to go out there" I say out loud as I go to put on my running shoes.

As I open the door, the guards turn to me and they move closer to each other in an attempt to block me from leaving.

"Luna, please, go back into your room, we got orders from the Alpha Caine to protect you" he smaller male spoke softly. By the tone of his voice and the hint of nervousness behind it, I figured that he was either brand new to this job or he was scared shitless of Caine.

"What is your name?" I ask the small male and they both look at each other. I can tell they are nervous and probably scared.

The younger and smaller looking one turns to me and bows, his hair was jet black and he had it tied up on a pony tail. I could tell that he had really long hair and it looked nice on him. Not every guy can rock long hair. "My name is Erik, it's a pleasure meeting you, Luna" he introduces himself and bows in respect.

"My name is Malaky" the other guy, introduces himself dryly. "And we need you, to go back to your room" he says sternly before he tries to grab the door handles to close them, but I stopped him.

"I need to make sure the people are okay-"

"There are warriors in charge of that, Luna" he says as he tries to close the doors again.

"Ah guys come on. We should all be out there making sure Mother's and their pups are safe in their homes. They can use-"

"No, we got orders to stay here-

"Gentlemen, let her help. I am Alpha Thaddeus mate. Please. It looks bad out there"

I turn to find Alpha Thaddeus, mate, Lena. She looked like she had been crying and her makeup was messy.

"Are you..okay?" I ask her as I stand right next to the guards. They both take a step forward covering me a little from Lena.

"Yes, I just heard some screaming from the pups, it's horrible!" She cries and I rush to her side before she collapses on the floor.

"Can you fight?" I ask her and she looks up at me before nodding.

"Oh darling, I can do a lot more than that" she says with a smirk on her lips. As she takes out a dagger bigger than my face.

"Okay so...you can fight! Let's go then, what are we waiting for?!" I was ready to go as I turn to the guards.

Lena and Malaky held wide grin on their faces. I watch as Malaky walks over to help her up.

I look over to Erik who is looking just as lost as I am. Werewolves had loyalty to their Luna only. They weren't allowed to touch other packs Lunas So why was he comfortable enough to reach out to her and help her?

Pushing the thought aside, I walk over and stand right in front of Lena and Malaky.

"So are we going to-"

I couldn't finish what I was going to say when I feel this slight but sharp pain on my neck, it was a needle, immediately a piece of fabric gets pushed on my face, covering my mouth and my nose. I knew what it was, and I held my breath and pretended that the Chloroform was working, but what every was in that injection was making my vision blurry. Not good.

Before I knew it, I was on the floor on my knees, I watch as Malaky pushes Erik into the wall and injects something on his neck.

It all happened so fast.

I turn slowly to Lena who wore this evil grin on her lips. She says nothing as she stands there, playing with the dagger that she holds in her hand and the needle she just used to prick me.

I fall to the floor feeling paralyzed. My eyes travel over to Erik whose now on the floor too, but he was facing the other way.

"Where will they be waiting at?" Malaky asks Lena as she puts the cap on the needle she just used on me. Before tossing the cloth on the bed.

Where they planning on taking us somewhere? What is going on, why is she doing this?

"Down by the river, there will be a boat there, it's how we came in" Lena says as she wipes away the excess make up from around her eye. "I have to say though, I'm very impressed by your mate. He had you well hidden up here".

I couldn't move, and I couldn't feel anything, but unfortunately I could hear everything that she had to say.

"He is smart, this Alpha Caine. I mean, I guess the rumors are true about his reputation. A cold blooded killer, we almost died trying to reach his border up here." Lena taunts as she ties up her hair in a pony tail. "He must definitely be hiding something too, what ever that was, I have never seen such science before. I'll be sure to let my father know, he loves science and is always finding new ways to destroy his...enemies" Lena winks at me as she walks over to Malaky.

This bitch, how dare she!

After a few minutes, three men come up the stairs. They were y'all and muscular looking. They spoke in Russian. Unfortunately for me, I only took Spanish in high school and I couldn't understand what they were saying. I was definitely regretting not taking Russian studies.

One of the men that came in pick Erik up and carry him away. Still frozen, I only watch as they disappear from the corner of my eye.

I shut my eyes hard and focused on my wolf.

"Come on I need your strength" I thought as I tried to reach my wolf.

"Aura if you wolf out now in that level you can hurt yourself and everyone around here".

Right now it wasn't the time for my wolf to be smart about this. They could be dragging us into our deaths right now, I had to do something.

"Give me your strength!" I demanded.

"You got it!"

Just how I remembered it would feel. The warm feeling running all over my body. I felt my veins, and the blood rushing to my face and my hands.

I played it cool since Lena and Malaky were too busy chatting away with the men that walked in. The moment I regained feeling in my arms and legs I made a run for it.

My legs felt like they were on fire, as I ran towards the stairs.

I jumped from the top, all the way to the bottom, landing perfectly and smoothly on my feet. Taking my fluffy slippers off, I made a run for it towards the door. But as I was running. My vision started to get blurry again and dark spots started to appear in my vision.

Did I get shot? Looking down at my leg, I find a small tranquilizer stuck on the back, the yellow serum slowly pumping into me. The side effects were starting to hit when I brought my now numb hands and pulled the tranquilizer out. There was still some liquid left inside of it and I slowly tucked it in the pocket of my sweat pants before the guy got to me. He didn't see me and I let out a small sigh of relief as my body falls on the cold marble floor.

"Damn it, she still got some fight in her" I hear Malakys voice from the second floor.

Lena and one of the men come down the stairs, he was holding a gun, which was now pointing at my head.

"Coward" I whispered as I stared into the mans eyes.

He just smiled and nodded as if Lena mind linked him something.

Before I know it, I was in the mans arms getting carried away.

They took the back entrance of the house and I look around to see Caine's men dead on every corner of the garden and yard. The man started to walk a little bit faster as we reached the wooded area.

We walked for what it seemed like hours, It was raining still and the winds had picked up now. I really had no idea where they were trying to take me but I knew that where ever they wanted to take me, was not good.

After getting carried on a gigantic mans back, I knew we were near a body of water because I could hear the sound of water moving loudly. A river maybe? A lake? All thoughts were interrupted when the man dropped me on the wet and muddy ground, without a care in the world.

"What the hell you idiot!!" I mumbled, but I don't think the man could hear me, or understand me. I don't even know if words were coming out of my mouth. The drug they objected me with was now making my face feel funny and my lips were feeling numb too.

When realization kicked in, I found myself facing a very rapid-moving river, and there was a black speed boat waiting on the shore, two men armed with guns were in the boat, their eyes on me. I couldn't see their faces well until lighting stroke above us and it flashed their faces.

Human. They were humans. I could smell them.

"Let's go" Lena urges as Malaky now picks me up and tossed me over his shoulder.

Again, what's up with these idiots carrying me as if I was a sack of potatoes?

As we step into the speed boat, he walks down to the small cabin inside the boat and tosses me on a bed. There was a small lamp on the side and I slowly turn my face, trying to look around the cabin when I see Erik on the corner of the floor. Tape over his mouth and silver chains around his ankles and hands.

The sight in front of me was heart breaking. This was probably his first day on the job and here hew was, kidnapped and with silver chains holding him down. This shy young man that was ordered to protect me, is here suffering because of me. I had work on a plan to get us both out of there. He was still alive since I could see his chest moving up and down slowly and I let out a sign of relief.

Right in that moment, the engine of the boat comes alive and I feel the boat starting to move.

"Shit" I curse as the boat starts to move faster and I knew what ever I was planning, wasn't going to work at the moment.

My body was fully numb now, and my right eye was already closing,before I knew it, I was drifting off to sleep, forgetting that we might be on our way to our possible death.

I was awaken by the strong smell of mold, and the cold surface against my skin. Where ever I was at, it was cold, wet and moldy.

"Luna, are you awake?" I heard Eriks groagy voice call out to me. He sounded tired and hurt.

It was dark all around us, and very cold, not even my wolf vision could help me look around, thats how dark it was.

"Yes im here! Most importantly, are you okay?" I called out. I knew that he was near but I couldn't see anything.

"The silver is making me weaker but im okay. Can you follow my voice?" he asks, I can hear the chains moving and him groaning from the pain the chains were causing him.

He didn't have to tell me twice on that, I was already following his voice the moment he had started talking. "trust me, I'm already on that. Has anyone come to check in on us?" I ask as I crawled on the floor, with my arms in front of me as I was trying to feel the floor or anything that was in front of me.

"I can hear some movement upstairs, I think we are in a basement". He groans. "Do you know who these people might be?' He asks.

"Ahh..am not sure really but that Luna from earlier is Alpha Thaddeus mate- I found you!" I say cheerfully when I feel Erik's leg. "Why are you so cold Erik, and so bony, my goodness what ever diet you are in you need to cancel that-"

"Ah...Luna, I dont think you found me..-"

"-What do you mean- you are so cold, oh my goodness Erik are you okay!"

"Luna, I can hear you but I am sitting on my legs right now...I dont think you might be touching my leg...."

It didnt think me long to realize that I might have been touching, someone thats dead. I let out a yelp as I pushed myself back. When it all made sense, I could smell the foul smell of a body that that was starting to decompose. Who ever I had touched, might have been dead for a few hours now.

I wiped my hands on my sweat pants in the hopes to feel clean again.

"Stay where you are Luna, ill go to you-"

"You are being held by silver chains, you will be hurt more! Stay put, I'll go to you, now keep on talking!" I order him, and then I felt bad for using that tone of voice.

"Okay I am sorry Luna", he says softly and I mentally slap myself for sounding so mean like that.

"No, im sorry, I just want to get us out of here and get us both home". I confess as I continue to crawl over to where I think he might be at.

"You sound close, Luna, I am against a wall right now, I feel a slight breeze coming from my right side, there must be an -You found me Luna!" Erik says as soon as I come in contact with what seems to be his warm chest.

I pull away quickly before I start looking for his hands.

"No- Luna, you are going to hurt yourself!" Erik tries to raise his arms higher so that my short self wouldn't be able to reach them, but he was too weak to lift his arms up or fight me at this point.

Grabbing on to the chains, I tried to break them apart but it didn't work. I tapped into my wolf and she didn't even think twice as she lend me her power.

There were many things the world, not even my father knew about my bond with my wolf. We were small in size, but she held a lot of power, it was so much that I kept myself quiet and tried to make myself seem weak, because I knew that, my father would exploit it for his "land conquering" and I didn't wanted to be a part of anything that involved him.

I focused all my strength to my hands, ignoring the burning feeling of the silver chains, after a few seconds of struggling with the chains I broke them free, they fell on the floor with a loud thud and my ears perked up when I heard movement coming from above us.

"Shit!" I curse. "We need to find a way out of here"

I felt Eriks hand on my arm as he pulls me back, so that I was now behind him. "No Luna, they are here" he says his voice low. He was hurt but he was ready to attack, I felt his anger and his wolf ready to fight for us. He sounded different than he did a few minutes ago.

That is why they use silver against us. Because it makes us look weak.

The sound of foot steps were now getting closer and closer to us and they stopped, in what it seemed to be a few feet in front of us. Eriks hands still grab on to my arms as he stands strong in front of me. We were both very quiet when we start to hear the sounds of keys and a lock opening. Before we know it, a door in front of us opens and I shut my eyes as the light hurts my eyes a bit, I try to open them slowly when two silhouettes stand by the door.

And then I smelled her.

Goddess, help me.

"Aurora Honey!"

My mom runs to us and gets in between Erik and I, and she pulls me into a tight hug.

"Your father was telling me that you had come back!" she says cheerfully. Erick is now looking at me and I shrug before we both turn to look at my mom.

The guard stands by the door staring at us and I get nervous.

"Mom...are you aware of whats happening?'

She gives me a confused look before smiling softly.

"No, your father just told us that you would be here visiting for a short while and that you brought a friend...I mean is this your mate?! He is cute! Oh! I met your other friend, that pretty red head! She is so sweet!"

That was when I became concerned with her. My mother seemed like a totally different person, it was as if she was reading from a script. She never went "out of her way" and called people names or called another male "Cute" She barely spoke to be honest.

"Mom-"

"Yes?"

"Can you take me to see that friend? I need to talk to her..its important, she...you know us girls, she needs to help me with my hair later" I lied, I also tried to play along with her. My mom smiled, before she looked back at the guard and he looked away as if he was speaking with someone. I watch as the guard nods at my mother and she turns her head with a smile on her face.

"Oh you guys must be hungry, lets give you guys so food!" she says cheerfully completly ignoring what I just said.

I turn to Erik who is looking just as confused as I am if not concerned and he was in his right to be, because I was too.

I grip his arm and shake my head. "Keep your eyes open" I mouth to him and he nods before following right after me.

"Damn it, I hope they got some pizza" Erick mumbles and I tried to hold back a giggle.

My ability to laugh in the worst of situations because of my nervousness was undefeated.

The moment the guard escorts us out of wherever we were are, I realized that this wasn't my old home but a completly different place. Just as I suspected, my parents had moved to a totally different place. The moved the whole pack here. As some of the pack members passed by us, they looked angry, tired, hungry. Some gave me evil stares and some just shook their heads at me. All but a young girl, no older than 15 comes up to me cautiously, she looks around as if she was trying to hide.

"You have to help us" she whispers.

"What is going on?" I ask quickly when I notice that the guard and my mom were talking to some other guard, forgetting that Erik and I were behind them.

"Your father is selling some of us off to other packs, my sister...Please-

"Hey!"

A pack soldier sees her talking to me and he takes large steps towards us. He pulls the girl by her arm and yanks her away. She stays quiet as he drags her away and takes over to the a group of older women who are sitting by a tree knitting blankets.

My mom walks over to me and places a hand on my arm

"Oh she will be fine, we have to teach them young to be submissive, get them ready for their mates"

I look at her in disgust.

"That's the most disgusting thing you have ever said mom" I was disappointed in her and my stomach turned when she smiled and shrugged at me. Just who was she?

This wasn't like her. At all. My mom was submissive, and quiet and out of fear for my father, she spoke less and less.

"Aurora!"

I heard my name being called and it sent shivers down my spine.

I turned my face and there he was, smiling brightly as his pack falls into shit.

"Father" I say dryly.

"You like the new place?"

"I fucking hate it-"

The moment I said those words, his palm connected with my cheek. It hurt, but not as much as before. He was getting weak.

Erik tries to charge at him but the guards stop him and pull him back.

"Its not worth it Erik, he isn't worth it-" I say as I get up from the ground, only for my father to slap me again. I fall on to the floor again but I held my ground and get up quickly.

"Why did you do this to Caine's pack!" I screamed at him, not caring if he was going to slap me again.

My father took out a cigarette and brought it up to his mouth. I watch as he lights it up and takes a drag out of it. He smiles, his evil and disgusting smile of his that I grew to hate so much.

"Because, I want it all child".

"You want it all if it means killing all of those innocent people?" I say loud enough that everyone that was around us stopped to listen. I look around me to watch as pack members eyes land on me.
