《Mated To Two》Chapter 11

Her body tremble as she sobbed into my arms. She had stopped fighting me and just cried the entire time as I held her.
The rain started to pour down harder now but it didn't bother me in the slightest.
She kept on asking me why I lied to her and I didn't know how to respond to her. Truth be told. I had no idea what was running through my mind, or why I did what I did. I didn't have an answer for her.
There was something in me telling me to take the leap because something felt like it was missing from my life.
I found it when I first saw Aurora. I knew she was the one for me. But this whole situation. Truth be told. I was loyal to Lena. Because that's how my father raised me. To appreciate what you have, who you have. Treat them with respect, and care for them. And that's what I did with her even thought Lena wasn't the best or she-Wolves, a deal was a deal.
Thunder started to go off in the distance and I knew it was time to take her inside.
"Alpha Thaddeus, please follow us. Alpha Caine had us prepare one of the guest houses down by the lake for you and Luna Lena. Please, follow us, the storm is only going to get worst". Beta Ally informed as she knelt down in front of us.
I nodded as I picked Lena into my arms. Beta Alley lead the way down a paved path to the lake, with two warriors behind us.
As we were walking to the lake I got this soft scent that I haven't smelled before. It was as if an animal had died or something. As we were in the middle of no where, I figured it was an animal that had recently been killed by another animal or one of Caine's pack members. Then as soon as it came, it left. I push the thought back and try to concentrate on not slipping on these large rocks that are leading the way to the front porch of the lake house.
Ally opened the door for us and let us go in, before leaving us in the cozy-looking and warm cabin.
I placed Lena on the couch and turned away from her so I can take off my wet shirt.
"You should change too. I don't what you to get sick"

"Now you care if I get sick?" she replies back dryly. Still laying down on the sofa, a few pieces of hair still stuck to her face.
"You know that's not true" I whisper as I sit on the floor with my back next to her. "You know I choose you for a reason. Because you have been there for me since the beginning. Even if you act out the way you do. I still forgive you". I know she doesn't want to hear this but it had to be said.
"It's been two years Thaddeus. You marked me but we never completed the mating process. You never touched me. You don't think that hasn't hurt me. You don't think your pack had noticed". Lena cried more.
"What do you want me to do. Please tell me-"
"Do you love me, Thaddeus?"
Lena asked as she gets up from the sofa and sits on the floor, right in front of me. She looked tired, pale. Her beautiful red hair was looking dull and dry. She looked like she had lost weight and I knew that I was looking the same way too. Lena was always someone that cared for her appearance. At all times. So seeing her like this. I knew it was getting to her and this was all because of my doing.
We marked each other but we didn't fully completed the mating progress. But no one knew because she knew a witch that could mask the scent.
"I do love you. But you know it doesn't feel right" I confessed and she nodded. A stray tear rolled down her cheek and I reached over and wiped it away before it reached down to her lips.
I loved her in my own way. But she wasn't my destined. And I knew that she also knew that her mate was still out there. Probably looking for her as well.
"Do you ever sit down and think that your mate is also out there, looking for you?" I ask her and she looks away. I reach to her and place my fingers under her chin so she can look at me. "Why are you looking away as if something happened?"
Her silence spoke volumes to me. And I just knew. It explains why I was feeling what I was feeling the other night. I had thought that it was Aurora and Caine...but it wasn't.

"I found him. But...I don't think it will work out"
"Who is he? Did he accepted you?! Lena...why didn't you tell me? When did this happen?" I was somewhat happy for her.
The rain was now pouring down hard, and the kitchen light flickered a bit. The wind was also starting to pick up and I knew that it was going to be raining down like this hard for a few days. The branches from the near by trees were starting to scratch a bit of the windows. But none of it was bothering us.
"He is an Omega. Why would I want to be with an Omega!" She yells as she gets up and starts pacing around. "I do not deserve an Omega! Do you know how embarrassing that is!!"
"He will love you, Lena. More than I will ever be able to!" I argue as I get up as well. Trying to reason with her in this moment might be impossible, but I had to try. I needed her to understand that we are not going to work out. I wanted Aurora. I wanted my mate. My wolf needs his mate. My pack needs their destined Luna.
"I will not be with a good for nothing Thaddeus! What luxurious trips will he be able to take me to?! Or what?! Do you think I will be living in a small cabin in the woods! A place like this?!" She says as she runs a hand through her hair in frustration.
This was that side of Lena that I hated and that she hid from everyone. She was a good woman...or so I would lie to myself. When it came to money and Luxury. She was rotten.
"Did you- Lena please. Don't tell me that you-"
"I rejected him!!" she yells out. She seemed like she was in pain.
"You rejected him...because he was an omega? Lena you know you missed your chance at feeling something beautiful with someone that would love you unconditionally, right? The Moon Goddess doesn't make mistakes!" I yell back at her and she breaks down more. "You are unbelievable. But I am not surprised. You probably were expecting a politician or something" I say sarcastically and she glares at me.
"You will tell me nothing! You lied to me as well and look where we are! We are going back home to England and we will pretend this didn't happen, we will have our pups and live happily ever-"
"I, Alpha Thaddeus Garret-"
"Wait...Thaddeus what are you- no please don't do this!-" she cried as she took a few steps towards me, but it was too late.
"Reject you, Lena Rustov". I said the words as loud as I could. And I felt the power in them.
A few seconds passed and my body felt like it was on fire. The skin where Lena marked me burned, only for a few seconds before going away. I caught my breath again and I was able to sit up straight. The huge weight that I was feeling on my shoulders just lifted off, and I felt good. I turn to Lena who was on the floor, her hand on her neck, where my mark once showed up strongly.
"I'm sorry Lena, but I can't continue on doing this. Go back to that man and take him back. He doesn't deserve this...but he also deserves a woman with a better heart. Money and luxury isn't everything in life".
"So you...you are just going to leave me here tonight?"
"No, I'm not that evil. But I called Ronald and he will be coming tomorrow to accompany you back to Russia. I will speak to your father about all that's happen".
She nods silently as she gets up from the floor and heads to the bathroom. After a few minutes, I hear the water running and I relax on the sofa.
I chose to stay here in case she decided to do something and hurt herself. As long as she was next to me. I was responsible for her. Until I returned her to her father's footsteps. I could not leave her alone".
My body and my neck still hurt a bit and I felt the tingles slowly fading from her bite. But now I could clearly see and feel were my feelings for Aurora.
I couldn't wait to see her. I'm sure I looked pathetic to her. She saw me at my most vulnerable, but now. The strong Alpha in me was back. My wolf felt stronger and I couldn't wait to let him take over and go out for a run.
The storm rolled on, and I couldn't help but to feel hopeful. I was ready to give myself to her fully. Completely.
Aurora was going to be my Luna.
