I couldn't help but to feel this slight pinch in my heart when I saw Aurora and Thaddeus kissing out in the garden.

But at the same time. I didn't feel jealousy or the need to rip his head off his body. I felt calm, which was a first for me because I was always on my feet, ready for anything.

"You okay there little brother?"

Of course, the last person that I needed here was my sister, Cara.

"I'm peachy"

"That's funny, I thought you didn't like peaches?"

"What are you doing here, Cara?"

"Nothing!" She says as she raises her hands up. "I just wanted to see if the rumors were true, and by the looks of it. They are". She replies as she watches Aurora and Thaddeus from the window.

"And what are the rumors? That I am mated to a she-wolf that has another mate?" I reply back in a matter of fact voice and Cara shakes her head.

"That you have gone soft" Cara replies back as she flips her hair back. "His pack in England is in total shit right now if you haven't heard. Apparently his "Luna" is losing her mind and he is nowhere to be found. He needs to go back before this starts a war. She is Russian, has a family full of politicians ready to drop nukes on us he is here! Getting comfy with your mate Caine!" She yells out in frustration.

"You don't think I know that! This whole situation is out of control! And I need to find out why this is happening! A she-wolf with two mates? This has never happened! I didn't even believe in mates in the first place and here I am! But one thing I know. Is that they can try to get to me. And they won't be able to-"

"And what makes you so sure about this huh-"

"Because I have her!" I yell back.

Cara relaxed as she leaned back on the wall. I turned to look out the window as silence falls between us.

"I just want you to be happy. Even after she...sees what you really are...I think that will be the real test here".

This whole time, I've been so consumed with everything that's going on, that I had forgotten about that side of me. The uncontrollable beast. A gift from my father.

"Oh yea I did some research on her father. My dear friend told me of the visit and of course thanks to my job and my amazing human friends I found some things out". Cara fakes a smile and I glare at her. She never stops surprising me.

"I thought I put Ally and Elijah to that"

"You did, but I am with the FBI little brother. I can get a whole lot more information than you can imagine. And you should be careful with him. He is a baby killer Caine. He destroyed a whole pack...to build a Casino on their grounds".

"Revel?"

Cara nods and I let out a growl in anger.

"You know Dad wasn't always a good person, but Auroras father definitely takes the cake on this one".

How did this go under the radar?

"They blamed the witches" Cara confesses and I turn to her.

"Witches?" I ask Cara to make sure that I heard it right. "so the witches were blamed for the murders?"

"Yup! And I think they might have the answers for your little issue too. Caine I think this might have been a set up. I think there is a whole lot of weird shit happening here and you need to get to the bottom of this". Cara says as she hands me a piece of paper. "His name is Marcus. He is a good friend of mines and he can help. Call him up".

"You know I don't believe in this shit"

"You will start soon enough. Don't say I didn't warn you" she says as she starts to walk away disappearing down the hall.

I look at the piece of paper in my hands before tucking it into my wallet.

I continue to look out the window when I smell her getting closer. She smelled like vanilla and flowers and it was driving my wolf wild. I turn toward her scent and there she was, wearing her sweats and hoodie looking flawless.

"Hey!" She greets cheerfully as she walks towards me.

She was so beautiful, innocent and I didn't deserve her. Why was this happening? There wasn't a day that I haven't asked myself this. Then I remember the number and name that my sister gave me and I was tempted to get in contact.

"You okay?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I lied.

Aurora gave me a knowing look and I look away. Cara, reminding me of that part of me, has now scared me. I'm terrified. Not for me, but for Aurora. What if she can't accept what I have been turned to? She is going to reject me.

"Hey, it's okay" Aurora reassures before I pull my hand back and away from her hold. From the corner of my eye I see as she rubs her hand as if she got burnt or something and I instantly regret it. She didn't need to worry about it.

"It's fine, now come on, let's go out and get you some clothes."

"What's wrong with these amazing and comfy sweat pants and hoodie?" She pulls on her hoodie to show me how cool she thought it was.

And I thought she looked adorable. But we have a big night coming soon and I want her to have everything that she needs.

"I'm not taking no for an answer" I said as I grabbed her by the hand ignoring the sparks and pull her along with me.

We walk all the way down to the garage where I had all of my cars parked. I look at Aurora and she looked at me surprised. "What?" I ask her as I grab the keys for the Benz.

"Why do you need so many cars?"

"I like cars. It's one of the things that I really like. And working on them" I wink at her and she laughs.

"My father never really let me use the car. He thought walking was the best" Aurora replied back and I sensed the sadness just radiating out of her. As much as I wanted to ask her about her father. I knew now wasn't the time for it.

I open the door for her and help her in before running around and getting in the car. As we wait for the garage doors to open I grab her hand and kiss it. "You don't have to worry about that now. Anywhere you want to go, I'll take you. And I can teach you how to drive too if you want" I offer and she smiled big.

"I would love that," she says.

We were so into each other that we didn't notice the woman standing in front of the garage. It had started to rain now, more like pouring and she was getting wet. Her light blue blouse started sticking to her skin. In her neck, she wore bright pearls. Her blonde, reddish hair was a messy and sticking to her forehead and face. I watch as she eyes me cautiously, then her eyes travel to Aurora and her face turns angry.

"Stay here" I say to Aurora and she nods. Her eyes not leaving the woman that was in front of us. I could see that she was fighting her wolf.

I close the car door and lock it as I take careful steps to the girl. I also mind link my men so they can make their way over to arrest this trespasser.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I ask calmly.

"I had to see this for myself" she spoke with a heavy accent.

Shit. If this is who I think it is we are in deep shit.

"Is this the she-wolf with the two mates?" she asks again, ignoring my question, her voice trembling.

"ANSWER THE QUESTION!" I growled loudly making her take a few steps back. Her eyes were wide and she was looking at me in shock.

Right on cue my men and Ally showed up. Two female warriors grabbed the woman but quickly let her go when an deafening growl shook everyone to the core.

Except for me. I already knew who it was. Little pathetic piece of shit.

"Don't touch her."

I turn to find Aurora right next to me.

"Thaddeus?" She whispers as she watches Thaddeus embrace the woman in front of us. The scene was intimate and I felt Aurora's heartbreak.

Right in front of us, was Thaddeus's chosen mate.

"Why didn't you tell me this. You humiliated me!" The woman screamed at Thaddeus as she sobbed in his arms.

Thaddeus kept on running his hand through his hair and I pulled Aurora closer to me as we silently watched the couple in front of us.

I mind linked some of my men to secure my borders and to find the men responsible for letting this woman in. I didn't care if she was his mate. The warrior responsible for slipping up on letting her pass was getting his or her punishment as well.

"Did you mated her? I felt my body burning earlier as I was arriving here, and you smell like her!! Answer me Thaddeus!" She screamed at him with tears running down her cheeks.

"No Lena I haven't. This...I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you like this".

"You told me you came to an important meeting with a pack in Canada. Not to come here to look for your mate! Why did you lie?!" She screamed at him her body falls from the ground. "Reject me then! Do it! I can't handle anymore of this" Lena cries and Thaddeus falls on the ground next to her. Hugging her tightly.

" I can't continue watching this" Aurora whispers to me as she tugs on the sleeve of my hoodie. I motion her to get inside the car and I follow her so I can get the door for her. I help her in as the guards tell Thaddeus and Lena to move aside.

We drive off leaving Thaddeus and his mate to solve their issues. I ordered Alley to stay with the two of them to make sure that they wouldn't hurt each other.

We said nothing as I drove down to the city. I just held her hand and kissed it every so minutes to remind Aurora that she still had me. And I was going no where.

"Everything happens for a reason Princess. But you can't expect much from him right now"

Aurora nodded as she looked out the window.

"I'm just trying to understand. Why all of this is happening".

"I am too. But right now, what's going on with them. Has nothing to you with you or me. So let's go get you some clothes and things you need and we will figure out the rest later okay?" I reassure as I kiss her hand one more time.

She turns to me and smiles softly.

"Thank you" she says as she kisses my hand too.

How can this tiny, but ferocious woman bring me down to earth like this. Is beyond me.

But I wanted her more than anything right now.
