Caine convinced me to hide out in his pack until we figured out what was going. My pack was on the other side of the world, in England to be exact, so my hands were tied right now. I had nowhere to go at the moment and I wanted to be near my mate as much as I could.

I sat in the back with her Caine drove his Jeep like a maniac. I made sure the seatbelts where secure and that I was holding to her, in case Caine got stupid and had us flip the gym.

The sun was rising up now, but it was covered by large rain clouds. After two hours of driving, the rain had finally started to fall hard. The raindrops hitting the car were so loud, that I was sure it would wake her up.

I knew Caine could smell her arousal as much as I did. Any other wolf would have marked her right then and there. But she was our mate. And we could not hurt her. We wouldn't hurt her.

"How long?" I asked Caine.

I knew the elders were not going to let us go that easily. A female wolf with two mates, who are Alphas is unheard of. And I knew they were trying to figure out why the Moon Goddess had paired us together. Especially since we were Alphas.

"We have to leave the Jeep behind soon. I don't want to risk my pack being found" Caine finally spoke after so many hours of silence.

After a few minutes of driving down a secluded road. He parked the Jeep and we both got out. Caine watched me closely, as I pick her up in my arms. She remained asleep still, even if she was still in heat. Her beautiful face was covered in sweat and so was her body. I managed to cover her up well before Caine and I started speed running up to his Pack.

A hike that would have taken human hours, we managed to beat in thirty minutes. Alphas were able to run that much faster than an average werewolf, and in this case, I was bloody grateful for it.

We arrived on his territory and were welcomed by his pack elite. Who I am guessing was his beta ran over to us, with a smaller older man next to him. I was assuming that it was the pack doctor.

"Alpha Caine" the Doctor greeted quickly as he bowed to his Alpha, then to me. I bowed my head a sign of respect to the doctor.

"She is in heat, but the fever is too high" Caine said as we rushed inside what I was assuming was his own private home.

Caine led us to a spiral staircase that opened up to a huge hallway. We turned to the first room and I rushed to put her down on the bed.

The doctor and two nurses rushed over to her. I watch from the side as they start to work on her and I let out a growl when I see that one of the nurses unwraps the wet blanket that is covering her, exposing her naked skin. But Caine pushed me back. My eyes went dark and so did Caine's.

"Get out of my way" I growled and Caine pushed me back one more time.

I was going to kill him the first chance I got.

"Now it's not the time Alphas! I have to run some blood work on her. This seems to be her first heat, and for she-wolves, it's as painful the first time. The doctor informed and I felt anger boiling inside of me. I was angry because she was in pain and we couldn't do anything to help her but mark her, and we couldn't do that to her, not without her consent and permission.

Caine sent me a glare before leaving the room. I stood there for a few seconds just looking at her, as her chest rose up and down quickly.

She was in heat and we could all smell it. But it wasn't normal for female wolves to go close to 24 with heat. It was just strange.

I sense Caine behind me, and I began to feel annoyed again. "You need to rest Alpha Thaddeus," he said from the doorway and I shot him a glare.

I was angry at the Moon Goddess for doing this to me. To us. Our paring will end up in the death of one of us. And when I say that, I mean either Caine or myself. We don't want to share her with each other. It's almost impossible to see her close to someone without wanting to rip that person apart.

It was cruel.

I was in complete comfort. No more heat, no more pain all over my body.

Wait...no pain...no heat...something isn't right.

I shot up from the bed to find myself in a completely different place. I wasn't at the cottage anymore but somewhere else that I didn't recognize. Immediately, I began to feel nervous.

I swung my legs over and take in the beautiful sight before me. Beautiful mountains that went on and on as far as the eye could see.

"Beautiful isn't it?" a deep and taunting voice comes from behind me.

I turn to find Alpha Caine walking up to me. He wore a black 'V-neck shirt that hugged his body well, and black baggy sweat pants, in grey. I preferred him not wearing a shirt but I could see the rest of the tattoos in his arms just fine. He wore a smirk on his lips and smelled like he has freshly showered and I turn to smell myself. Surprisingly, I smelled clean. I was expecting to be smelling like sweat and blood but I smelled fresh. I pushed the questions of "who gave me a bath" to the back of my head so I could focus on this tattooed God in front of me.

Without shame, Alpha Caine pressed his body close to mines and brought his face down to my neck. His lips found their way to my ear and he nipped it softly. I held back a moan as I felt the waves of tingles go down my body. It was normal for males to be like this with their mates. I didn't put up my walls around him. I didn't wanted to. I wanted to let him in and experience him.

He stops me and puts his fingers under my chin, lifting my face up so that I could look at him. "Please. Call me Caine" he whispers with his eyes are looking deep into mine.

I nodded at him and then I realized that I never gave him my name. "My name is Aurora," I say to him shyly.

"Thats a beautiful name, just like the northern lights huh?"

Since the moment that he walked into the room, he has not broken eye contact with me. It was as if he was swallowing me whole with his eyes. Those beautiful green eyes of his.

"It's crazy, I have witnessed them before, on a trip to meet an Alpha up by the northern far side of Canada. But now that I found you, they don't compare to you, I don't think anything does.

I looked away as I felt my cheeks heat up. How am I supposed to act in this situation?

He let out a soft chuckle before sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Aurora, do you remember what happened after our meeting in the woods, you know, before we got tranquilized?" He muttered the last part, it sounded more like was embarrassed to admit that he let his guard down and got tranquilized.

I sit next to him and get comfortable on the warm bed. "I don't remember much. Just our encounter in the woods and then waking up when I was going into heat" I reply to him and I felt my face grow hot at the mentioned of my heat.

He let out a sigh of frustration as he ran his hands through his blond hair.

"I had my beta and others check out my Jeep and there was a tracker on it. Also before we ran to rescue you in your cottage, the elders had us tied up in silver chains. I think they might be on to something...we need to keep you safe"

"Why would they go through all that trouble?" I questioned as I bite one of my nails. He pulls my hand away and I frown.

"That's a bad habit to have, and to answer your question, we are not sure, but we suspect that they want to know more of our situation. There has never been a case of a female wolf having two mates. They either want to know more or use us for their political agenda."

He was right, I was sure that word of this was spreading quickly, probably worldwide by now, but right now. I didnt wanted to talk about werewolf politics or anything related to that.

"So...do you feel about our situation?," I asked honestly.

He closed his eyes and pressed his lips together before opening them again and looking straight at me. "I had been looking for you for six years...ever since my first heat at 18. I watched as pack members would find their mates, and I would feel jealousy and anger towards them. Because I wanted that happiness, I wanted to experience that, and then I sensed you since the moment you arrived at that camp last night. But when I caught a glimpse of you, my wolf wanted to run up to you and mark you, but I held us back". He brings up his hand to my cheek and caressed it. His eyes never leaving mines.

I felt like I was in heaven every time he touched me or laid his eyes on me.

"Honestly...I didn't think I would ever find my mate...that I would find you...and Alpha Thaddeus." I confessed to him. "I was always late on things. And I had to train twice as hard to get to everyone's level".

"That doesn't matter to me." He whispers. "You are so perfect...even though you do run like a baby penguin" he joked and I slapped him in the arm. Hard.

He started to laugh, an all-out "out of breath laugh" and I couldn't help but join him.

"Come on, let me show you around and introduce you to the pack".

Introduce me to the pack? Is he crazy? We don't even know why we are in the predicament that we are right now.

"Ar-are you sure" I stuttered as I began to feel kinda sick to my stomach from the nervousness.

"I want them to know, that I have found my Luna...their Luna". He stated as he got up and extended his hand for me to grab.

I let out a sigh and he gave me a knowing look. "I might not be able to read your mind yet, but I know that this is making you uncomfortable".

"No it's not that...what if they don't like me?" I wanted to scream at this point. Was this too soon? There were so many questions running through my mind that I didn't notice when Thaddeus walked up to us.

"You okay?" Alpha Thaddeus asked me as he dried his hair with a towel. The other towel wrapped around his waist. My wolf was howling and Thaddeus noticed my eyes lingering.

"Yea I'm feeling much better...thanks" I reply softly and he smiles at me before turning to Caine and glaring at him.

"I will let you have your talk with Alpha Caine" he said dryly as he walked out of the room.

Alpha Thaddeus seemed upset but I didnt let it bother me since I figured that he was probably trying to avoid Caine.

We were left alone in the room again. It was comfortable being around him. He made me nervous but it was because I felt like he had his eyes on me the whole time. He watched as I looked around his room and examined all of the art that he had around. I wasnt going to lie, he had good taste in art.

"Where are you going to sleep?" I asked him as I sat down after I was done looking through his art.

He shrugged his shoulders and sat on the Ottoman facing me. "I don't get a lot of sleep so I don't really use my bed. You can stay here, it's safer and it got this beautiful view".

Truth be told, I was hoping that he would have given me another answer and said that he would be sleeping here next to me but maybe it was too soon, I mean..I just met the guy for Goddess sake.

"Its one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen to be honest with you. " I reply back softly. He gives me a soft grin.

"The view is one of the reasons why I designed my home like this." He says as he stands up and walks over to the window. I follow him with my eyes before turning to him. "I wanted my mate to wake up to this, and now you are here."

I give him a smile, I felt grateful for him.

He lifts his hand up as if he had remembed something and I give him a confused look.

"What is it?"

He takes out a phone and hands it to me. "I figured you might want to let your family know that you are safe"

I look at the phone and take it with shaky hands. He gives me a look and I could tell that he wanted to ask me what was wrong.

I took a deep breath. " I dont think my family cares about my whereabouts right now"

"Why you say that?"

If there was a perfect time to be honest with him, that time would be now. Taking a deep breath, I redied myself for any kind of reaction from him.

"I am the daughter of Alpha Victor...the one Alpha that the werewolf nation has been trying so hard to get out of power...he forced me to go to The Games to find my mate. And to be completly honest with you, the plan was for me to get to the territory of the event and escape so that I could finally leave the hell hole."

Caine sat down and watched me as I told him about my life at the pack. His face went from soft to pissed off and I knew that he wasnt going to let me set foot in my old pack ever again by the looks that he was giving me.

"Aurora, I am so sorry that you had to go through that. Alphas are strong willed and we tend to be intimidating because of our Alpha energy but we dont hurt our people, or our families like that."

I shook my head. "Well that's how life is at our pack. Its hell, but one day I will rescue them, and bring peace to my home."
