《Deception (Book #1) ✅》~8: Show me?~

Caleb watched me as I moved to sit upright. His blue eyes were so bright blue they were mesmerizing but as mesmerizing as it may seem they were still the eyes of my kidnapper.
He walked over to the bedside table that was next to me placing a glass of whiskey on it. I could smell the whiskey in the air. Was he drunk?
I tried to keep my eyes to the ground away from his. I allowed my hair to fall in front of my face to conceal my face further.
The eerie silence was petrifying as I waited on the bed with my legs tucked beneath me. My wet hair dripped and trailed down my right arm still damp from the bath.
The oder of the room was a mix of whiskey and the spiced smell of the men's body wash Nora used to clean me with.
"What do you want?" I spoke up finally unable to bear the cold silence of the room.
Caleb turned to face me leaning softly against the table with his arms crossed. He looked at me his eyes surreal with a swirling vortex of blue and charcoal.
"She made you take a bath." He mentioned taking a deep breathe, humming as he exhaled. He seemed to relax after taking that breathe of air. I found it odd he mentioned the bath as it had nothing to do with me being here.
"Why am I here?" I tried to ask again this time I asked louder hoping I wasn't stepping over their boundaries. I was starting to realize that if they were going to kill me they would have already. I didn't want that to go to my head however and I ended up dead because I became to comfortable.
Caleb moved in front of me pushing a few of my wet curls out of my face to look at me. I was still frightened by him especially after last night. I thought he was going to strangle me with the grip he had on my neck.
"It's difficult to explain." He told me removing his sneakers and kicking them to the side. "It'd be easier to show you, but now isn't the time." He pulled his T-shirt off revealing a ripped and toned set of abs. His pectoral muscles were defined and flexed as he removed his shirt. I gulped as I watched him undress, unnerved clutching the towel around me harder.
"Show me?"
I didn't want him to show me anything. It was making me for uncomfortable the more clothing he removed making my mind explode with a million possibilities as to what he was going to show me.
"Yes." He answered short and to the point.
Just as I thought he would try and touch me he walked away only in his black sweatpants. He walked towards the bathroom pushing the door open then he suddenly stopped.
"Nora will be back with a change of clothes for you. Be ready by the time I get out of the shower."
Caleb closed the door leaving me to wonder what he wanted from me. I listened as the shower was turned on finally feeling more relaxed knowing he wouldn't be coming out anytime soon.

A knock on the bedroom door made me jump to my feet. I walked to it to open it forgetting Caleb had locked it from the inside.
"Nora I can't open it. It's locked." I told her knowing it had to have been her returning with clothes.
"This idiot." She grumbled, she was clearly irritated with her brother. The door knob jiggled a little before Nora turned a key she had and pushed the door open. She handed me a pile of clothes. "Here are some clothes. They are smaller so they should fit you." She looked down at my feet briefly. "What size are you?"
I curled my toes subconsciously.
"I'm a size seven... in shoes." I replied. Nora nodded her head pulling a pair of black flats from her back pack she was wearing.
"They are a size seven and a half but they should do." She handed them to me smiling before closing the door, locking it and leaving me to change.
I quickly changed listening to Caleb shower. I tried to put everything on before he got out wanting nothing more than to cover up my body. What I really wanted to do was hide away, from him.
Finishing getting dressed I walked to a floor to ceiling mirror Caleb had on one of the walls.
I looked at my outfit. It wasn't terrible everything did fit a little better. I didn't need a belt for the jeans I was wearing now. My blouse was shear and floral patterned. A tan tank top was underneath it to cover my bare chest since the sheer blouse was see through. I looked... normal for once.
The sound of the shower turning off had me walking quickly back to the bed. I slide my flats off sitting on the bed with my back resting on the headboard. I hugged my knees to my chest as Caleb exited the bathroom with nothing but a towel hanging lowly on his hips.
His strong V-line was evident with every turn and step that he made. His olive skin was glistening from trickles of water from the shower. His dark hair was slick and combed back from his face. I didn't mean to gawk but it wasn't exactly like I had anything else to look at.
"I can feel you staring." He told me his voice monotone and dull. He seemed unsurprised by my staring.
I shoot my eyes to the black duvet of the bed. As I listened to him slide hangers from his walk in closet.
He reappeared moments later dressed in a navy blue long sleeve v neck, jeans and brown ankle boots. His sleeves where rolled up to the base of his elbow.
Caleb looked over at me my heart thudded harder against my rips. He was holding a duffle in his one hand.
"Let's go." He ordered walking towards the door unlocking it.
I slowly stood up walking cautiously behind him.
"Where are we going?" I asked nervous. I eyed his duffle bag that was stuffed to the max. What was inside it?
Caleb ignored my question heading down the stairs. I stopped at the top just as Nora met with Caleb at the bottom. I stared from above as Nora placed a purple duffle in Caleb's other hand.

Turning to look at me, Caleb was surprised that I was still standing at the top.
"Come on we are leaving." Caleb told me.
"I don't want to go alone with you." I said terrified of the idea of leaving this place to go with him alone. This was the last place Aurora knew I was at.
"You don't have a choice now come down, now." His voice more aggressive than before. "I'm not asking I'm telling you we are leaving." His cold tone had me descend the stairs to catch up to him.
I caught Nora's solemn eyes as she closed the front door behind us.
A chilling breeze pushed my loss and wet hair behind me. I shivered from the cold wary as Caleb loaded the back seat with the duffles.
He moved to open the passenger door nodding at the open car for me to enter. I gulped nervous to leave with him. He could well be leaving with me to dump me. The duffles probably had everything he needed to kill me.
I got in to the black sedan eyeing the mansion that I had just exited. So this was the estate? It looked old and massive.
I was torn from my thoughts as Caleb got into the car. He was typing something in his phone before the center screen lite up with directions.
We were still in California but as I looked at the address we weren't near L.A. anymore. It looked like we were in the middle of no where not a single city light was seen for miles no gas stations either.
Caleb hadn't done anything suspicious in the car but it didn't help my pounding heart. We drove for about an hour before the silence came to an end.
"Will you tell me your name?" He asked his voice this time softer and smoother than his earlier aggression towards me.
I moved away from him leaning against the door of the car. I had been gazing out the tinted window at the dense forest. I hadn't seen a single car for miles which was making more apprehensive at the possibility of him leading me to my inevitable death.
"I'll take that as a no then." He muttered flicking through the screen on the center dashboard. "You seem like a girl that listens to pop music. Ah, Arianna Grande sounds about right." He said pressing on her picture and music started to play.
He hummed along to it but I simply tried to ignore his attempts in normalizing this whole kidnapping situation. I would be lying though if I didn't say he was right in his guess.
The longer we sat in the car the more comfortable he started to become as was I. Caleb had start singling along to several songs like I was just another on of his friends I'm the passenger seat.
I wasn't hugging the door any long now as I slowly eased into the seat of the car. He hadn't attempted to touch me or do anything rash. I was honestly thankful, the man had manners. Then why so aggressive last night?
"I'm-"
"Caleb," I finished for him. "I know."
It was quite again in the car. I wasn't sure if it was cause I had cut him off and he was agitated because of it or if he was quite because he didn't car to continue a conversation.
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked wanting to know my impending doom.
"What? No!" He exclaimed in shock I had asked that question. "I would never."
"Then why did you kidnap me? And what is in the bags?" I questioned becoming a little more at ease and his sheer disappointments my earlier question. He wasn't going to kill me then what were we doing in the middle of no where?
"The duffle bags just have clothes in it. Nora packed some clothes for you in the one. The other is my own clothes." He explained hoping it'd trust his word. I wasn't sure I could, I barely knew the man.
"Okay, but you haven't told me why you kidnapped me." I brought the question up again being sure to not let him slip by without answering it.
"It..." Caleb gripped the steering wheel harder his knuckles turning white with strain. "It's not easy to explain. I just hope you'll understand."
"Understand what?" I practically spat the new found courage surprised Caleb. Hell, it surprised me I was playing a dangerous game with my kidnapper.
"That's why I'm bringing you out here... to show you. Away from everyone else. Plus the girl you were with while know where you were last. I don't want to take a chance if police show up at the estate." He was trying so hard to keep his composure for what reason? I wasn't entirely sure.
"Why?" I asked feeling skittish from his secrecy. I knew there was a reason and my stomach dropped more as the hope of being found was dwindling.
"Okay stop," His tone was sharp and stern making me draw back from him. "Enough with the questions. I'll answer them after all this if you want but right now is not the time." He paused glancing at me quickly before shifting his eyes back to the road. "We aren't that far from the cabin. Once I show you it'll explain everything."
I bit my lip nervously growing more anxious now with anticipation. I didn't want him to show me anything. I just wanted to go home. I wanted to yell at him to take me home but I didn't bother to say anything as I new it would be no use.
I sighed trying to come to terms with my lack of control over where I was going. Where ever I was going I had no choice in what he was about to show me.
He was going to show me no matter that I said or did. I was just going to have to come to terms with that.
