Regina's POV

"Have you found out anything about the Darna Corp? If this continues, they may try to pull every major clients we have. Call detective Brian Robles, I need someone who can act quickly and provide me information right away." I ended the line and slammed the phone down. For the past few months, I've been wary about this new corporation.

I don't know what they're up to pero magsisisi sila sa pagbangga sa Valent Corporation.

I was working on a few papers and didn't notice the time passing.

Ali entered with a tray of food. Glancing at the clock behind me, I realized it was nearly midnight.

"Kumain ka na Regina, kanina ka pa hindi kumakain" Ali placed the tray on the table after taking my files away.

I sighed. "Thank you Ali. Pero may update na ba from detective?" Tanong ko habang binubuksan ang pagkain.

"Wala pa, pero pag meron na sinabi kong sayo na siya agad tumawag"

"What about the meeting next week? What group are we meeting anyways? Last Week pa sinabi ang meeting na to pero hindi ko padin alam kung sino ba talaga ang kameeting naten. All they're saying is it's a new and big group from states. I don't care if they're from the states what I wanna know is how trustworthy they can be"

"Don't worry Regina, ilang araw na lang naman iyon, malalaman mo rin lahat ng sagot diyan sa araw na yon" nakangiting tugon ni Ali.

Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako at itinuloy ang pag kain sa dala ng assistant ko.

Matapos kong kumain at maayos ang mga files sabay na kaming lumabas ni Ali. Halos kami na lamang ang natira sa buong building maliban sa iilang nagovertime at mga guards.

"Go ahead, I'll drive myself home na, I have my car naman" sabi ko at hinayaan itong mauna na.

Nang makita ko itong makasakay ng taxi ay agad na akong naglakad papuntang parking lot.

Habang laglalakad sa tahimik na lugar ay nakaramdam ako ng kakaiba. Nagtayuan ang balahibo ko rito. I could feel eyes, parang may nakatingin saakin.

I came to a halt and peered around the mostly empty parking lot. Only a few cars remain, including mine. I was creeped out, so I walked quicker to my car.

I'm beginning to regret parking my car so far away from the main entrance.

Fortunately, I was able to get into my car securely. I quickly started the car and drove away, not wanting anything bad to happen.

While driving, I rolled down the window on my side. I needed some fresh air.

Ali is right, I'm overly worried with the Darna Corp.

On the highway, I slowed down just enough to relish the night air. While driving, my eyes caught sight of a huge billboard on a building.

My eyes widened with shock and wonder.

There, written in big bold letters, beside a picture of mine I dont even remember posting, are the words...

"What the fuck" mahina kong bulong habang nakakunot ang noo at nakatingin sa billboard.
