"Have I done something wrong? If it's about Jensen sharing his finding with me please don't punish him. He's doing me a favor out of the kindness of his heart and-"

"I told him he could resume his research." Osiris cut me off.

"Oh," Now I was bewildered. "Are you mad at me?" I murmured under my breath.

My face was cased down toward my feet as we tracked through the snow. Osiris suddenly stopped turning around to face me. His hazel eyes darkened as they took me in fully.

I could have sworn my heart had stopped for a moment. I felt as though I were under a microscope and a heated lamp the way he stared at me. The silence did little to ease me apprehension.

As I rubbed my nose that reddened with the cold, glanced around the barren forest. My eyes steered clear of his figure as I stood still.

"I'm not mad at you." He spoke softly.

My eyes slowly rose to match his. There was a flicker of something I couldn't quite read, he almost looked sad, though I couldn't understand why. The corners of his full lips dipped and when I looked back up to his eyes he quickly diverted his gaze.

Osiris kicked a stone at his toes looking to be struggling with something behind his regretful eyes. Something about the way he looked left me on edge.

"Are you alright?" I whispered hoping that if I broke the ice first he'd be more willing to talk. When he cautiously peered over at me I knew I had said something right.

But then I was proven wrong condescending Osiris makes an appearance.

"I've heard that you wish to have your human friend stay here with you."

"Yes."

"Is that really what you want Seraphina or are you only saying this because your friend brought it up first?" HIs question struck my chest like a bat. Of course, I want my friend to stay with me, I may not have thought about it first, but the idea sounded great. I was thankful Andy even brought the idea up.

I crossed my arms in defense. "You think my friend persuaded me?" He cocked his head matter-of-factly. "My friend did not and is not making me do anything I don't want."

He shrugged. "So you say."

"Excuse me?"

"Just because someone is your friend doesn't mean you can't say no to them."

I rolled my eyes. He was being a hypocrite telling me not to let someone persuade me and here he is trying to get me to agree to him.

"First off, my friend has a name, it's Andy. Secondly, let me reiterate, this is what I want and I am asking for." I took a deep breath reminding myself to remain calm. Getting myself worked up wasn't going to change his view on Andy though I wished it would.

He pushed off the tree to stand up right. "If you say so." Osiris shrugged. "Well if you truly like to have Andy stay here then he is your responsibility."

It was a statement meant to be straight forward but I felt as though it was anything but straight forward. Osiris said it as if it were the worst idea to come to his mind. He might have told me Andy was my responsibility just to get over the conversation but when he began to walk away from me, further into the woods, the tension in his back told me he was unsettled.

"What do you mean by Andy is my responsibility?" I questioned clumsily trying to catch up.

Osiris hopped over a dead tree effortlessly. I tried to do the same only to scrap my forearm against the bark.

"He's your friend not mine. He's your guest and if he's going to stick around a couple of days then it falls on you to keep an eye on him." His voice trailed off as he continued on.

He didn't even bat an eye lash when I cursed under my breath from the scrape. Osiris was giving me whiplash the way he flip flops from being caring to being dismissive. Pick one already. Do you like me or do you not?

"Andy isn't a threat to you or your pack. He's human."

"And I have enough to deal with taking care of my pack. I don't need the headache of checking up on your friend."

I rolled my eyes at his absurd accusation. Andy couldn't even hurt a fly, he wouldn't dare hurt anyone, especially on pack land that he doesn't belong to.

"He'll stay by me most of the day. I can promise you that-"

I didn't get a chance to finish my sentence as my foot got caught up in a vine. Instinctually, I reached out to grab the nearest tree but in a forest full of tree I stumbled in the only area of the forest that tree wasn't near by.

I yelped as my face neared the dirt of the forest floor. Just before I face planted, however, a thick arm curled around my midriff hoisting me back up to my feet. Catching my breath my body sagged into the front of the person that helped me.

"You're the least coordinated person I've ever met. You can't even walk in the open areas of the woods." Osiris couldn't just be kind to me, nope he had to ridicule me like I didn't already know I was ungraceful.

I was upset and I wanted to whirl around and yell at him for his crude and unnecessary comment but the mouth hung open in aww. A shockwave of electrifying tingles ignited every sense in my body.

The intoxicating smell I've grown addicted to lately returned leaving my head buzzing with the thirst for more. My torso felt as though someone was sending chills through out my body. The chills felt enjoyable and the more I focused on it's sensation the more pleasurable and greedy I became to feel more.

What the hell had gotten into me? This wasn't normal and the fact that Osiris isn't pulling away was making it harder to get myself to put space between us.

If Desmond saw us right now he'd be hurt and disgusted with me. The fear of his rejection had me shoving at Osiris's arms and lunging away as if he were hot lava.

Panting I turned around. Osiris's expression left me now speechless. He looked starstruck, no doubt baffled with how long I stood against him. I wouldn't be surprised if he told Desmond himself. He'd have every right to, he'd only be looking out for his little brother.

The thought of him running off and telling him made bile rise in my throat.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't feel right, I just needed a moment." I tried to explain hoping it would deter him from rushing to Desmond.

Osiris stared fixated on my movement as I ran my hands through my hair with a stressful tug.

"Uh- yea, me too." He whispered under his breath.

"So you felt it too."

He looked stunned as I mentioned the unusual feeling. "Feel what?"

"That, that weird tingling feeling."

He shook his head, waving his hands in front of him in denial. It was a little too late for denying something you literally admitted too. Osiris stepped away from me eager to get far from me.

"I didn't feel anything. We should head back to the cabin it's getting late."

I rushed over to him unable to just let this go. I felt something and he definitely felt something too. Why else admit it?

Grabbing the back of his shirt, I tugged him back and made him turn half way to face me. "You said me too."

"How did you hear that?" He asked grabbing my wrist and forcing me to let go of his shirt.

A gasp left my lips as I eyed the place we touched skin. The same tingly sensation erupted up my arm and to my chest. Osiris flexed the muscles of his arm just before he released my wrist.

"You said it loud enough I could hear you."

His forehead formed wrinkles as bafflement formed on his face. "You shouldn't have heard that."

Now, I was the one confused. I heard him loud and clear, sure he had spoken softly, but I still undoubtably heard him. "What do you mean I shouldn't have heard that. I might be uncoordinated Osiris, but I'm definitely not deaf."

"I didn't say you were." He muttered more to himself than me.

He narrowed his eyes searching for something as he scanned his line of sight up and down my body. Yup, Osiris had lost his damn mind. Did he honestly think that he had said that stuff in his head? I saw his lips move though, I reminded myself. I didn't want to lose my mind as well.

"All I'm saying Osiris is that I heard you say me too, and I just want to feel like I'm not losing my mind about this strange feeling. This isn't the first time." I shared looking up at him with unease.

I didn't know why I was confiding in him, but the fact that he felt it too meant that I could at least relate to someone.

Osiris opened his mouth to speak but his eyes fogged over interrupting him before he could say anything.

I huffed in announce. Of course, the timing couldn't be any worse.

"I'm taking you home." Osiris told me, his eyes returning to their hazel and

shadowy color.

I didn't move crossing my arms in defiance. He turned around a scowl growing the longer I stayed put.

"I won't repeat myself Phina."

He used a nickname ,how cute, it almost made me budge, key word almost. "No, I'm not leaving until you admit to me that you felt it too and I heard you say it."

His eyes darkened into swirling black vortexes. "This is a poor time to disobey me. You think having this discussion is more important than a wolf from the pack found dead?"

"Someone is dead?" I whispered.

Osiris rolled his dark eyes exasperated. "Yup, and you're keeping me from investigating because you have this weird feeling you want to talk about." He spat.

My shoulders slumped as I shamefully looked over at him. I regretted pushing this further, I should have just left it be. But no, I just have to test everyone's limits.

At this point I was beginning to think I was just a nuisance.
