"And that," a dark haired boy leans back in his chair and closes the comic book he was writing, "wraps up volume 3 of Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous Adventures."

"Marc, you are such a dork." A red headed boys laughs, taking a moment to stop drawing as he does.

Marc rolls his chair next to the other boy, laying his head next to his notebook.

"You love me." Marc smiles, his slightly quirky nature showing through.

"I sure hope so, I married you after all." The red head laughs and kissed his husbands cheek.

"Hey Nathaniel," Marc say, receiving a hum for a reply, "did you switch the laundry?" Nathaniel froze, he didn't move an inch. " So, that's a no." Marc got up and sighed.

"I love you!" Nathaniel yelled for his seat. "I'll make dinner?"

"You better." Marc shook his head and laughed.

Nathaniel was rather forgetful but it made life entertaining.

The pair were quite the duo. Marc wrote the manuscripts and Nathaniel would illustrate the Miraculous comic books, a best seller they would add. It was fun for them and a great way to meet people when they would have meet and greets. It made things easier because they had a lot to talk about. Of course, if anyone were to ask when the heroic duo would get together, they would play dumb and laugh when they got home. That was their little secret for now.

Marc and Nathaniel lived in a little flat in central Paris. They were just down the street from their favorite bakery and not too far from the park. It would be a nice place to be if they decide to adopt. They both want a little girl, but with the amount of traveling they do for book tours it wouldn't be practical at that particular point.

"Hey Marc, do you ever just think about ending the tours?"

"Of course I do. If we did, we could start our little family, but then we wouldn't get to see all of the people who are going to help us do that. Fans are the only reason we can live like we do."

"I know." Nathaniel push the MLB comic and grabbed a piece of paper that had a previous drawing on it and put it on a clipboard. He got up and sat on the sofa, turning on the tv and absentmindedly began to draw.

When Marc has finished the laundry, he sat next to Nathaniel on the sofa. He looked at what his husband had been drawing.

"Wow, that's... I don't know if it's sad or beautiful."

Nathaniel has been adding to a portrait he previously made of Marc and himself. He had added a little girl with pigtails sitting cross legged and holding a teddy bear in her lap. Nathaniel smiled as Marc took his pencil and wrote 'Marc, Nathaniel and Arieanna' as neatly as he could.

Arieanna was the name they had fell in love with for their daughter. It meant powerful and perfect and that was exactly what she would be. She would be perfect to them in every way and would have her dads wrapped around her little finger, all the power she could want. The teddy bear she held was already theirs. It sat on a shelf in the spare room of they're home.

It was brown with a cream stomach and one blue button and one green button for eyes. One of the arms had been ripped when they bought it and Marc sewed it up nicely. Each paw had a number on it and if it was squeezed around the middle, the record they put in it played. It was the two of them saying 'your dads love you' in unison. Even without a child around to play with it, they made sure it always had good batteries. It was their way of keeping the promise to adopt.

Two years later, MLB premiered its final episode, but not the final book. There were to be many stories of the next Miraculous holders, but no more world tours. All conversations were to be held in France and only last a day at most.

That same year, Nathaniel and Marc adopted a baby girl from Kenya. Arieanna Kurtzburg-Anciel was born on May 16th and adopted on July 11th. She had beautiful hair that was too short to be in pigtails just yet, but she loved her teddy bear and ladybug print blanket.

She was beautiful and perfect to her dads and they learned how to teach her even though she was deaf. They were a perfectly happy family. Arieanna grew with a loud personality that made everyone happy. The signed with great ease and sometimes had to slow down so her parents understood. She loved to draw and read even if she struggled to learn how at first. Once she started reading, she wouldn't stop. She would also dance with her Marc but still marched to the beat of her own drum even before she could walk on her own. She loved her teddy bear more than any other toy. Even if she couldn't hear it, she loved it.

When Arieanna was 5, they asked her if she wanted to be able to hear, to get a cochlear implant and she asked if it was really possible for her to hear.

After that day, they started the process. It was a lot of doctors' visits and a lot of money, but when Arieanna came out of surgery and had woken up, Marc talked and signed his words. He knew she wouldn't understand his voice but he wanted to know if she could hear him and she gave him an exited grin that said she could.

It was going to be a long road, but they taught her to pronounce words as they matched with the signing she was use to. It was slow going at first but they use the tv shows that taught you to sign to teach her to talk. They read her favorite books to her out loud and made games out of reading.

When they would go out to eat, they would ask her to tell them what she wanted and if you could read it out loud or made a good effort, she would get dessert. If she didn't want to try, they didn't make her but they encouraged her as much as they could.

She was mentally on the same level as all her classmates, but was behind on talking. She tried to pick up as much as she could at school and became more determined when they started to read aloud in class. She would read the book to Nathaniel or Marc, whoever could listen at the time and they would help her through what she couldn't say and reassure her in what she could.

She was determined to be able to talk normally and it took a lot of effort at times and others it would flow as well as it could. She had a bounty of audiobooks that she would listen and follow along with in a paper or digital copy. She listened better than she spoke, but by the time she was through primary school, she was mostly caught up.

The wall of their house was covered in pictures of the three of them or just of Arieanna and what she had accomplished. Her most prized possession was the first spelling test she got a 100% on, of course it was second to her teddy bear when she would think about it

I don't think even I remember what I was when I was born. What kinda magic is this?
