When Chloè was little, she was a happy, kinda lanky child but she mostly grew into it. It was fifth grade when her body started to turn on her. It was small things at first but that summer it got worse.

By sixth grade she was starting to gain weight around her stomach. She decided to eat a little less to compensate but she kept gaining weight.

In seventh grade it was almost like a switch had flipped, but nobody noticed except her.

She would go days without eating and at night she would sit in her kitchen and look at the knifes. So delicately place and yet so dangerous. Her parents never noticed the signs because she never showed them.

She had no reason to be depressed, her life was wonderful. She just didn't feel at home in her own body. Sometimes she just wanted to rip her skin off like it would reveal who she really was, but she knew it wouldn't. Other times she just prayed to die. She lost the faith that use to make her steady. She never really believed, she just needed something to look forward to, but now even that vision of happiness was gone.

She was depressed and hated herself, until eight grade. She had decided that she was done with trying to live. That day she was going to do it, she met someone. A person that made her life a little better with one conversation. It made her wait. She wanted to see if this person would really be her friend, after all, she had nothing else left.

Sure she was popular now but those friends were fake. They just liked her for her name and her money. She just had a feeling that Nathaniel was different.

He made her laugh when they hung out and it was great. It turned out that he had moved to Paris in seventh grade and Chloè had missed him by keeping her head down. That was what she wanted then, she practiced disappearing in a crowd her whole life, but now she wanted to stand out.

She gained confidence from being around Nathaniel, so she spoke up more and it turned out she was pretty smart. In high school, they sadly drifted apart. Sure they texted, but they didn't get to hang out much. Chloè had made real friends but she had also become a different person than Nathaniel knew.

It her second year of high school, everything hit her again and the only person who was there to catch her was Nathaniel. That was the moment that changed everything for Chloè. She was still a bit mean, but she was trying to change. She fell in love with Nathaniel, who hade loved her since they met.

Her depressed may have been bad, but Nathaniel made her feel a little better. It was only then her father noticed she wasn't happy and only asked what he was to do with her like her depression was a mood or a new phase and that only hurt her more.

She turned to one person in that time and that one person became her boyfriend and that boyfriend later became her husband and they felt with it together.
