《Ladybug x Chat Noir (Cat Noir) one shots》Cute couple

"Hey Marinette, so I heard that you have a crush on my little brother." Felix said said in a slightly condescending tone.
"What? No I don't Felix. Shouldn't you be, I don't know, at work?"
Marinette was tired of people thinking that just because she was friends with Adrien meant she liked him, which she may have but she had never told anyone.
She had been best friends with Adrien, her next door neighbor since they were 5, but Felix was always hanging around even though he was almost 3 years older than both of them. Adrien's parents were divorced. He and Felix live with their dad and his new girlfriend, Natalie. (I do like them together and how else was I going to incorporate her?) Their dad wasn't the nicest guy but Natalie made him a lot kinder.
Natalie would bring Adrien into Marinette's family's bakery when they moved to Paris and that was how they met. When they were 10, Mari was taller than Adrien and that made her giggle. They would share cookies, but Mari always gave Adrien her croissant at lunch time because they were his favorites. They would play at the park together and at recess during school. Everyone always said they would be a "cute couple when they grew up" and they were. A cute couple of friends as Adrien put it.
"No. I came to take Adrien to lunch. So Mari, why are you in the headmaster's office?" Felix wasn't very good at hiding that the situation was hilarious to him.
"I yelled at Chloè during class because she was being mean again." Mari said as she scrolled through her messages so she could show the dean.
"Out loud?"
"Mass text to the whole school."
"Oh dang. Well I have to go, see ya later sis." Felix gave a wave to Mari before heading to the lunch hall where Adrien was waiting.

"I seriously can't believe it! A 3 days of detention for having your phone out in class?" Adrien marveled as he and Mari walked home.
"Right? It's insane." Mari was tired of the subject now. "So, how was lunch with Felix?"
"Uhg, don't remind me. He was supposed to be at the school at lunch, so I didn't order or bring lunch! Then he shows up an hour late and manages to pull me out of he one class I'm having trouble in! And when he took me out, all he did was text his awful girlfriend Kleo, ya know, Chloè's sister."
"Are they actually dating?"
"No, but they may as well be. Why can't he just date Bridgett? She's super nice and smart and she likes him!"
"Adrien, I have a question." Marinette and Adrien stopped walking.
"What is it?"
"Remember when we were little and everyone thought we would end up dating?" He nodded. "Well, what do you think about it?"
"I think I'd be cool, but I know you don't like me like that. Felix told me you said so." Adrien's smile fell to a frown.
"And if I did?" Marinette worried about his answer, but after all the, the worst he could say was no.
"And if you did then I'd definitely ask you out, but you don't feel the same so I'm not going to push." In a flash Adrien's smile was back, "so do you want to stop for a snack?"
Marinette couldn't think she was so happy, but she couldn't tell him or she might scare him off.
"Sure, why not." She replied, trying to be her normal happy self.

"Adrien! Adrien look! I got all high marks of my report card!"

"That's awesome Mari! I did too!" Adrien and Mari showed each other their end of the year report cards and Mari couldn't stop smiling, Adrien however was a bit saddened. "I understand you getting higher marks in maths, but in history and science too?"
"Come on Adrien, I didn't do much better and I bet Max could put both of us to shame." Mari playfully elbowed Adrien and he laughed.
"Ya I guess you're right. Hey do you want to go to dinner tonight? To celebrate." Adrien had been planning this for weeks but his cheeks still became tinged with pink no matter how many times he had practiced.
"Adrien Agrest, are you asking me out on a date?" Marinette smiled at him and he nodded. "Yes, but I say we just go somewhere quick because I want you to help me pick out my new cat."
"Your parents are letting you get a cat?" Adrien was super excited and his smile was huge. He had always wanted a cat himself but his father never let him get one.
"I talked them into it," Mari laughed at Adrien's huge grin and gave him a hug before leaving. "Meet me here at 6 and don't be late!"
Marinette practically ran to her room and picked out her nicest jeans and a long pink shirt to match. She decided she would were her black flats and leave her hair down for once. The only problem with that, however, would be getting he hair not to be super frizzy or dead straight because it was normal one or the other. It was only 5, so she had plenty of time.
She spent 30 minutes, well, watching YouTube videos until she finally decided to get ready. She was completely dressed by 5:45 but after spending 10 more minutes fighting with her hair, she decided to put it in a top bun. It may have not looked perfect but she wasn't spending more time fighting it.
She walked down the stairs and grabbed her purse by the door before meeting Adrien just in time.
They missed the bus, so they had to walk to dinner, but in all honesty the bus was often gross. After grabbing a meal at their favorite ice cream shop, it was almost 7. Of course that was 'quick' considering how much they talked. The pair walked to the pet shop where there were dozens of kittens to choose from, but they soon decided on a small black kitten with ginger patches on its back.
On the way home they talked more and discussed possible name for the kitten. In the end it was between Plikki and Cheesecake. At the end of the walk Adrien jokingly suggested Plikki guardian, of Cheesecake, but it made them both laugh so much that Mari said that it had to be the kitten's name.
Adrien and Mari were genuinely a great couple and Plikki, guardian of Cheesecake would truly rather eat the cake.
