"Where's your Ladybug now!" Cried the villain, floating in the air.

"Funny, I was wondering the same thing" Chat muttered as he jumped rooftop to rooftop towards the villain.

Several black bands shot out from his belt, where the akuma was, and attached to innocent civilians, and Chloè, who were running in fear. Not only did the bands get Chloè, but they got Marinette too.

Marinette had been in an ally about to transform when the band attached itself to her back.

Chat eyes grew wide when he saw her.

Now that the band had attached itself to her, she was under its control.

Though, Chat wondered why she had never been taken control of before, but there was no time to wonder now. Marinette and Chloè were in trouble and he had to save them without his lady.

Chat ran even faster towards the villain and decided that his first order of business would be to free everyone under the akumatised man's control.

As if he had said his plan aloud, everyone of the victim's minons swarmed Chaton.

"End of the line kitty." Marinette remarked with an evil grin.

"Maybe if you took her seriously, Ladybug wouldn't have left you!" Chloè cackled. "You're not even helpful!"

"No! You don't know anything!" Chat yelled at Chloe as he swung his baton.

There was a loud crack as his baton impacted the black band. Rather than his baton breaking as any normal one would, the band broke and turned white as it went whizzing back to the belt whence it came.

Chloè dropped the rooftop under neath themand groaned.

"How's that for helpful." Snarled Chat.

"Maybe you need to listen better too. You're 'lady' hates your flirting. She tries to tell you but you. Don't. Listen." Laughs an artificially angered Marinette.

"Marinette?" Chat whined "Marinette please don't make me hurt you!"

Marinette began to drift closer with a menacing grin.

With a sigh Chat ran around her and yelled cataclysm. Jumping up, he ran his claws over the remaining bands. Doing his best to quickly help all of the victims to safety, he realized that Marinette was gone.

When Ladybug finally showed up, Chat had grabbed the belt and was being chased by black bands. Ladybug shock her head, this silly cat saved her life just a few moments earlier.

"Chat Noir! Rip the belt!"

"It's pure leather!"

With a sigh, she used her lucky charm and got something a bit obvious, a pocket knife.

"Bring it here Chat!"

Without missing a beat, Chaton changed his course and got the belt to LB in the matter of seconds. With one stroke with minor troubles, she cut the belt in two.

After capturing and purifying the akuma, Ladybug returned Paris to its natural glory by throwing the charm in the air. Chat glanced at Ladybug and tried to run off, but before he could get too far, she grabbed his hand and pulled him into an alley.

"Chat look, I'm sorry I took so long to get here. I-"

"No, I don't want to hear it. Unless you were taken control of during the time you were gone, I don't want to hear it." Chat was super angry and had scowl on his face. Then he closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself down. "I'm sorry I yelled, but I don't want to listen to excuses for anyone else today." Turning away he muttered, "I got enough of that from my father."

Without thinking about the fact that she had about, Ladybug's Miraculous beeped twice, 5 minutes left, she wrapped her arms around Chat.

"Please don't be mad at me. I was. I was under the akuma victim's control." Her Miraculous needed again, 4 minutes. "You saved me Chat. You're the reason Paros was saved today and I can't tell you enough how sorry I am for everything I said."

By now, she was almost in tears as Chat finally turned to face her and her Miraculous beeped again, 3 minutes.

Chat picks up Ladybug and carries her to a rather well hidden bench in a park that was practically dead and her Miraculous beeped again, 2 minutes.

Tears slowly rolling down her face, LB stands up.

"I'll go. I don't want to disappoint you with the girl beneath the mask." She sniffs and turns away, but Chat grabs her arm.

"My lady," He pulls her to him, her head against his chest. He had only a minute left before he detransformed. "it's ok, but if you're so set on keeping our identities secret, you may want to leave."

Thought his warning came too late as he detransformed after he finished his sentence and another beep sounded from Ladybug's Miraculous. She gripped his t-shirt in her fists as she sobbed, detransforming herself.

The two teens stood there that way for a long while, until they finally looked at each other with a blush and a smirk.
