《Just Friends》4. Pants On

Adrien's POV
Marinette's drunken state made me make a mental note to myself to never let her drink. According to Alya, she had only had 3 cups of the punch. And if the punch was spiked, it still shouldn't have affect her that much. Which basically meant she was a lightweight.
I made sure she was comfortably tucked into my arms as I began to walk out of the party. She was mumbling such incoherent words while I just chuckled out loud. Alya and Nino were following behind me.
"Yeah you sure are great friends." Alya said, making me smile. I would always know Marinette to be a great friends, even if she had said she had a crush on me, that was in the past, and still felt impossible. I didn't believe it, her... have a crush on... me?
Not possible.
"What are you doing... with..." I looked up to the voice that I had just started to annoy me. It was Kagami, she gave Marinette a disgusting look and then looked back to me. Her sleek eyes became eyes filled with rage.
"Please don't say anything, Kagami." I said quickly, glancing at the sleeping beauty in my arms. I knew I couldn't take her to her house because if her parents were there, then she would most likely get in trouble. I couldn't take her to mine due to my dad. So the best option was Alya's or Nino's.
I looked up to see Kagami giving me a glare. Well her eyes weren't directed to me, but the blue eyed girl that I was carrying. "Is there a problem, Kagami?" I asked.
She shook her head, moving her eyes towards me, "Nothing, I just can't believe your giving that girl the time of day." I shook my head at her words, deciding to ignore them due to the possible reaction it would cause.

"Let's go to your house, Alya." I said.
"Oh so now your going to ignore me?!" Kagami's voice spoke up. "Adrien, you know I love you, so why are you with... with her?!" She yelled, her hands began to stretch towards Marinette, and I quickly held her back.
"You hurt my friend Marinette, and that's not okay." I said.
"Well how did you even know about that? Did that snitch tell you?" She said, her plaid skirt moving With her.
"For your information she did not, so don't start-." I stopped talking when I felt a small hand touch my shoulder. Alya shook her head and then pointed towards Marinette. This meant she wanted me to get her out of here.
"I got us a cab, they'll be here in a few minutes, let's wait outside." When Alya finished talking, I could already envisioned the fuming Kagami behind me. Without a warning, Alya roughly grabbed me, making me follow her towards the doors of the Bourgeois hotel. It was then that I had remembered Marinette doing that just a couple of days ago.
The two friends must have been really alike.
"Okay okay Alya, calm down." I said, gently taking her hands off of me in order to not anger her boyfriend who was next to me.
"I thought you got a handle on your ex-girlfriend. If she lays a hand on Marinette, she should know that we're gonna have problems." Alya said, criss crossing her arms stubbornly.
"Alya, did you have any of the punch too?" Nino spoke, getting next to his girlfriend and poking her head.
"What- No! I only had a water. andmaybealittlepunch." She spout out nonsense. Nino glared at her until she confessed. "I had only a little, but I'm glad I'm not a lightweight like my friend over here." She said, stepping towards me and poking Marinette cheek. Marinette instinctively coward even more into me, turning her face into my chest. "Very gentlemen like of you to carry her." She stated before pausing, "Thank you, I'm sure Marinette doesn't understand how lucky she is."

I felt my face heat up as we looked towards the lit up road. There were cabs everywhere, and I began to notice the stares I was getting for carrying Marinette. I decided to ignore them, and instead felt the smile on my face rise once the cab came.
Nino sat in the front while Alya and I sat in the back. Every once in a while Alya would give me a small glare before she would talk back to Nino. I decided to ignore her, and instead focused on Marinette. Her breathing was ethereal, and her face was the epitome of beauty. She was only asleep, and I was admiring her.
I didn't notice when we made it to Alya's apartment until Nino opened my door for me.
"You're sure your pap's still is mad at you and would let you stay out this late?" Nino asked, I chuckled, noticing how I had forgotten all about my bull shit of a father.
"He can't do anything worse then he's already had." I said as we walked into the place, rode the elevator, and landed in front of Alya's apartment door. "Where is she gonna sleep?" I asked talking about Mari. Nino and Alya looked at eachother before a I saw a small blush land on Alya's face.
"You two can take the couch as 'friends'" Alya said using her fingers as quotation marks. "Nino and I will take my room. My parents won't be back till morning, so everything should be fine." I nodded my head as I looked onto the couch she was talking about. It was a normal sized couch with just enough size for two people to fit on it. I glanced at Nino and Alya, thinking they were planning something, but shook my mind off of it.
"We'll take the couch then?" I asked, walking up to the couch. I tried to place Mari on it. Tried. But she stuck to me like bread and butter.
Alya giggled, looking at the situation in front of her. "She's all yours, Mr.Agreste." She smiled, taking Nino's hand and bringing him to the door across the living room.
"Wait Alya, do you have a blanket?" I asked her last second. She nodded and then pointed towards a closed off closet next to the kitchen. I nodded before walking over towards it with Mari still in my arms. I heard the door close, telling me that Alya and Nino were now in her room.
I took out the biggest blanket I could find, and then proceeded to place it in the couch. I then went to the kitchen to get Marinette a glass of water.
"Marinette..." I whispered in her ear, hoping to kindly wake my friend up. Her eyes slowly fluttered open. "I need you to drink some of this water." I already knew she was going to have an ear splitting headache in the morning, and I didn't want Alya or Nino worried about her.
She quickly gulped down the water before placing her head back on my shoulder and falling back to sleep.
I noticed Marinette was still in her dress, and I was still in my outside clothes. My face became red when I noticed what I had to do.
I would have to change her.
She would wear my shirt, while I kept my pants on.
