A/N: I do not like people being rude to eachother in the comments. There was a very helpful girl (I'll @ her later) who was helping me edit my writing by commenting. She is the reason I was able to finish this story quicker and help many readers read the book smoothly. I still haven't finished editing the book yet, so I'm keeping her comments up still. Thank you readers!

"What!" He yelled. I quickly threw a pillow at him making him lose a bit of his balance. "How come I never knew of this?" He said offended. His face was blushing a bright pink while he scratched the back of his neck, reminding me of a certain boy at school. "B-b-but... how long have you liked this guy!" He demanded for an answer.
"It's been about 2 years, I started liking him just a day or two after I met him." I smiled sheepishly. "But that whole ordeal is over with."
Chat looked so surprised, like his world had just turned upside down. "H-how come he never knew of this. It sounds like-like he never knew." He said flabbergasted.
I giggled while getting up from my chair to help him up from his feet. "Oh it was very obvious, I would always blush, stutter, and fall around him. But now... now none of that stuff happens anymore." I said with a grin. "Because I don't like him like that anymore."
"You just stopped liking him, how do you just stop liking someone?" He asked seemingly annoyed. He glared at me for a few seconds before sitting down on my bean bag across the room. "Well I'm sure if this boy knew he would've have done something. How did you even know he didn't like you back? Huh?" He said getting defensive.
"He said and I quote, 'your an amazing friend, Marinette.' To me all the time. If that doesn't spell it out for you then what does." I felt my face grow hotter as I recalled the memory. Chat's mouth was wide open, and for once he looked deep in thought.
"That boy did some stupid things, didn't he." He whispered slowly. "I'm sure he likes you back."
"He has a girlfriend, if he had a crush on me he wouldn't have been with her." I said scratching the pair of jeans that I had on. "And what makes you so sure?" I asked.
"Nothing, but what if that guy broke up with his girlfriend, and asked you out instead? Huh!" He asked wanting an answer right there and then.
"Then I would reject him." I said simply.
"WHAT!" Chat yelled even louder. I threw another pillow at him to get him to quite down. "You just said you liked him!" He said clearly in frustration.

"I said I used to like him, loving someone for so long gives away all your energy. I don't like him anymore, I gave up on that dream a while ago." I said, yawning. "Y-you should go now, I have to take a shower and then go to bed." I said quietly, going to my closet to pick out clothes for school.
"W- you want me to leave?" He asked.
"Yes Chat noir, now go to patrol or something."

When I got to school the next day everyone was looking at me, well, mostly just the girls. I had thought that I did something wrong when I bumped into Alya who was walking with Nino. Alya gave the loudest laugh before I tapped her to quiet her down.
"Stop it Alya, Please tell me why everyone is looking at me." I begged pulling her to the side and shoving her to got to the bathroom. When we got there she had finally decided to open up her mouth.
"Girl have you not heard? Adrien broke up with his girlfriend last night." I gasped, wondering what had happened. There surely couldn't have been an Akuma out while I was asleep, or maybe hawk moth was too tired to notice a bad feeling. Or what if that meant that Kagami wasn't really sad. THERE WERE TOO MANY THINGS TO THINK ABOUT!
"He broke up with Kagami? No, your lying." I gasped, putting my hand to my mouth. That wouldn't have made any sense, for him to break up with Kagami when we had just talked about her yesterday at school. Alya shook her head while looking for my reaction. "That just doesn't make sense, and that's just-random."
"Girl, apperently he was up all night ranting to Nino about some realization of why Kagami wasn't the right girl for him. I don't know but somehow some words got into his head." She said giving me a look.
"Hey I didn't say any-." I stopped then gasped, remembering the conversation that I had last night with Chaton. "That stupid Chat noir. Oh he's just pissed me off." I admitted.
"What are you talking about?" Alya asked confused.
"Nothing." I breathed looking towards the bathroom door. I grabbed Alya's hand and made her follow me, trying to go around and find Adrien. My mission for why was unknown.
"Slow down." Alya rushed out of her mouth, I chose to ignore her and keep my hand linked with hers.
"Woah duddette what's got your panties in a twist?" Nino said following me. "And why's your face so red?" He asked.
"Shove it, Nino." I said quickly ignoring him as we kept running through the halls. "Where's that damned Adrien?" I asked aloud.
"Hey Marinette, I heard my-." I let go of Alya's hand while taking Adrien's in mine. "WOAH... we going anywhere?" Adrien asked while I sped up to find a small corner or space. I made sure Alya was behind us following.

"I can't believe what you did Adrien." I said in frustration. Kagami was going to kill me, and I didn't want to make another enemy, I already had enough.
"What did I do?" He asked.
"Wow you've made the dudette mad, that was a bad decision." Nino said.
"Nino!" I yelled and stopped everyone as we finally reached a corner in a small hallway. There was no where else filled with less people. "Adrien," I took a breath, keeping my glare on him. "I can't believe you broke up with Kagami, you've been dating for a year, and didn't even think to tell me." I said.
Alya glanced at me while I glanced back at her.
"It was a rushed decision, I didn't know that-."
"Why did you do it?" I asked quickly, making him admit the truth.
"D-do what?" He said scratching the back of his neck.
"Y'know what she means dude. Y'know what, I'm going to take my girl and I out of here, and you'll sort this out yourself." Nino said as he wrapped his arm around Alya's shoulder and led her away. I blew a breath of frustration as I kept my eyes on Adrien.
"Why did you do it Adrien?" I asked.
"Why didn't you tell me what Kagami said to you?" He asked back. I was taken back by what he just said, so Chat noir did tell him. Were they buddies or something? I would have to ask later.
I rolled my eyes at myself as I thought in my head. He already knew what Kagami had said to me, but why was he so mad about it. I believed it was her right as his girlfriend, although she could've been nicer about it, I understood her fully.
It was basically a way to make me jealous, when I wasn't anymore.
"B-because..." I thought of something quick "it was nothing important, she just told me to-." I was gonna finish when Adrien interrupted me.
"She bragged about the fact that I was her boyfriend." He said softly. "She told me she felt threatened, and I told her that if she felt threatened by someone close to me, then it wasn't going to work out." My eyes stayed on his. "Besides, if she hurt you in any way, I would never forgive myself."
I stared blankly at him. What had changed... I couldn't pin point it at all. "Shouldn't you be sad about the breakup?" I asked, wondering why I didn't see the teary eyes, or a hoodie hiding his face. He looked like the perfectly happy Adrien he always was.
"I figured out I didn't really like her anyway. I think I just liked the attention." I nodded my head slowly, trying to understand his words. How could he have not liked her the whole time, I thought they were like the perfect couple.
"But I don't understand- I... This makes no sense." I didn't want to admit to him that I had had a crush on him before. And that I told chat this information. But judging by the way he was acting, he had no clue.
I felt as if I was missing an important piece of the puzzle.
"Adrien you can't just say you like her one day, and then say you don't the next." When I said that, I felt a strong sense of Dejavu. That's when I noticed where Chatnoir was coming from, but I believed that I stopped like Adrien because I knew I couldn't have him, and that it was a lost cause. Plus, Adrien already had a girl at the time, I just got tired of being heart broken.
"Why is it such a big deal Marinette? Kagami knew that I didn't want her messing with you." He said calmly, keeping his eyes on me. I forced myself to look down, hiding the emotions in my eyes. "What did I do wrong?" His hand flew up in confusion.
He didn't do anything wrong, it was just me being selfish, dumb, and self-preserved. Now I would have my own issues with Kagami, and they would be based around Adrien. I was making this much more dramatic then it needed to be.
"Nevermind, it doesn't matter." I said, looking back up. Adrien's hand suddenly moved to my face, cupping my chin gently. I couldn't think about anything but the warmth that had come from it.
"Tell me." He said.
He didn't need to know about the drama with me and Kagami, it was complicated. It had first started when Kagami knew I had feelings for Adrien, and insisted that we almost "compete" for him. I thought it was absurd, fighting for a boy.
Whoever Adrien wanted to go out with us who he wanted to go out with. No point in fighting over him if his feelings weren't true. It was like me choosing between Adrien and Luka, I would choose Adrien in a heart beat.
"I'm not telling you." I pouted, feeling my cheeks warm up a bit. Adrien's hand moved from my face, and instead his hands went into an overbearing hug around my shoulders. "What are you doing!?" I screeched, shielding my red face.
"Trying to get my best friend to tell me the problem." He chuckled back.
"I get it!" I said, I knew my face was hotter then a tomato.
After all of that, I still didn't tell him.
