The Truth - Nathania x Leo
Leo POV.
It was a cold afternoon in Paris. I was standing on one of the banks near the artesian fountain in the park. I was head down, trying not to cry.
Everybody thinks I'm an stupid liar ... Everyone hates me and nobody trusts me anymore, they don't even want to talk to me anymore ...
I felt how I started to give up. After all, I let go of all my feelings and started crying in my hands. Outside was too cold to be someone around so I was alone.
Now I have no friends, and my parents are always gone, it's like they would not be with me at all ... No friends, no family ... I'm alone ...
Completely alone.
I have a good explanation because I lied ... but they didn't even want to listen.
What am I saying? Anyway they would not have thought ...
Suddenly, I felt someone looking at me. I looked up and saw a girl. She sat down on the bench next to me. She had long red hair and her eyes were turquoise like the sea. She was a really beautiful girl. I felt myself blushing.
Wait ... she looked familiar... I think she's a colleague with me. Nathalia? ... Or ... Nathania? Nathania! That's her name!
"What are you doing here?" I asked her with a trembling voice. I tried to call as normal as I could but I didn't.
"I was walking when I s aw you standing here crying. Are you okay?" She said. Wow ... she has an angel's voice.
"Yes ... maybe ... no, I'm not ..." I said.
After a long silence moment, she spoke.
"Why did you do it?"
"What?" I asked her puzzled.
"Why did you lie all of us?" She said with an emotionless face.

"Because ... because I did not want to be ironed anymore ..." I said, feeling tears threatening to run again.
"What do you mean?"
I pounded my chest, trying to find my words.
"Since I was a little, I was a nobody ... a sucker with a dull life. Everybody laughed at me for it. Coming in here given me the opportunity of a new life, I thought, maybe to have friend, I should be more interesting. That't the reason.
A disturbing silence stood over us. None said anything. I was staring at the white snow as she looked at me. I was waiting patiently for her to say something.
"Do the others know about that?" She asked me.
"No ... If I told them, no one would ever believe me ..." I said bitterly.
"Well ... I believe you ..."
I looked into her eyes and saw what I have not seen before: sympathy.
"You know ... I do not think I was so honest with anyone ever ..." I said briskly.
She smiled and gave me a smile.
"I appreciate ... at least you now have a friend."
She kissed my cheek. Then she stood up from the bench and walked away.
I touched my face in the place where her lips were just a few tens of seconds before. Then I smiled and went home all day thinking of her.

Right Side of Hell
Albus Dumbledore was sure he made the right choice sacrificing an innocent child. Too late he understood how terrible that mistake was. Harry Potter was not what he wanted him to be, he was not what the magical world expected him to be. He was not a replica of James, instead, he inherited more of Lily. Far too much to be convenient.

My Servant Is An Elf-Knight From Another World
It was just like any other day, or so I thought at least. The birds were chirping up on trees, clouds were rolling by the bright blue sky and Elves were dumpster diving in the alleyway. Okay, one of those three didn't sound right... I had a boring life once. Recently though, it has become less boring... to put it one way. Finding a random Elf in the dumpster? Heh, must be a Monday. A normal person would have walked by. A normal person would have ignored it. I must be a pretty weird guy, then. Now I have this Elf swearing her allegiance to me. What's next, vampires? Better not jinx it.

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic

Good triumphs over evil, that is simply the way the world works, no? While this premise is something inherent to nearly all stories, what exactly the heroes used to attain success can differ greatly. Perhaps they've trained themselves to the limit, pushing past boundaries nobody else could hope to achieve. Others still, have merely inherited the grand legacy of another legendary being, but what they have done with such a legacy would cause their names to be passed on for generations. Rowan is one of the heroes who have ventured beyond the horizon, tempering themselves on a perilous journey all the while and succeeding in attaining strength beyond measure. However, in an unexpected turn of events, this strength caused him to tear open and fall through a hole in the realm he resided in. Now he has ended up in a completely foreign realm, whose inhabitants utilized strange powers that eclipsed his own. Fortune would smile upon him this day, however, as he discovered that they were not hostile, and even offered to teach him their ways.
