Flashback

SOmetimes you want a simple life but you are destined to work hard till your heels crack. Same was happening with Nandini. 

SHe was in her dorm room lying on bed but sleep was far away from her eyes. Aspan was in Africa working on the construction and equipment of Hospital. Amber was appointed by Aspan secretly to take care of her. Aspan now lost his trust in his family . Falcone was also out of the country . Nandini shivered and sat up on the bed abruptly. She was not feeling solace , a strange feeling hitting on her nerves.

Nandini was apprehensive of something untoward happening in her mind. Nowadays at night she was seeing in her dream that Robin and Alka were crying. Thinking that he would have to see his parents crying, her eyes did not want to sleep. There was panic in Nandini's mind.

This time Aspan's departure was also bothering him. Nandini had comforted her mind several times, but as soon as she closed her eyes she could see Robin and Alka crying, a girl lying unconscious on the floor like a bundle in a very bad condition, with rags all over her body in the name of clothes. 

Somewhere in her body was blood oozing out, the sight of that girl was so disturbing. Alka and Robin were sitting beside her body and crying. The girl's head was in Robin's lap and Alka held the girl's hand. They were saying something but Nandini was not aware of what those people were saying. That girl's head was in Robin's lap and he was caressing her head. The girl's face was hidden due to the flicks of hair on her face. Alka's tears were flowing from her eyes. Nandini was only able to hear this much, with great emphasis.

"Forgive us that we could not save you, but believe me it was not in our control."

Nandini sat abruptly and looked here and there. She felt like they were just here near her bed and saying this . she was feeling their touch.

"What do you want to tell Mom and Dad?" She mumbled and started her daily chores as she didn't want to sleep anymore.

She came to the routine work she was following in the mansion. SHe was not allowed so her work was reduced. She was not seeing Falcone nowadays, that was a relief.. She got to know that he was out for some of his work. She was in the garden watering the plants when suddenly the gate opened and she saw Dinara was entering the mansion. Nandini looked at her and resumed her work of watering . Dinara smirked looking at her form. Arsenio was the one who came to the door to escort her inside. 

His gaze fell on Nandini and then they both went inside Joseph's library. Alicia was also there to join the meeting.

“Falcone is about to come in next week. We need to plan everything . He is becoming more powerful day by day . Many mob leaders were associated and desired to ally with him. " Joseph smoked his cigar and uttered the matter, he was looking like a dangerous old hag who cared about his post and his value in the Mafia world. 

“I am ready because I want to finish this drama as soon as possible. I need the status of being Queen of the Italian Mafia world. Arse I can’t live without you but moreover I want to be the Queen. So plan soon so that we can marry each other.” Dinara said seductively and Joseph rolled his eyes while Arsenio irked.

Arsenio smirked because he was least interested in the slut like Dinara, she was sex addicted and dreaming to became a queen. They both just satiated their body needs for the time being. 

Alicia was happy to get Dinara as her elder daughter in law. Dinara was from a rich and elite family. Moreover her father had a good relationship with Joseph's father, which could make them position and value in her Father in law's eyes. Also she wanted her own son to get the position of Capo and rule the whole Mafia world but somehow it was Falcone who became . 

She never loved Falcone because of the insult Falcone’s mother Kathy did to her. Kathy was a noble lady and pure Italian blood with all traditional values.

" You never get what you want Alicia. You broke my home god will take everything from you."she cursed

Alicia got Joseph but nothing except him. She wanted a Queen tag but her dream has become only a dream. So she tried to become pregnant before her so that she gave heir and claimed her crown.

And when she became pregnant Falcone’s mother was also pregnant. Joseph bed with Kathy , Alicia fumed because of the infidelity of Joseph. But here she was also the same. 

She gulped all her insults and gave birth to Chiara but Kathy gave birth to Falcone, her dream again broken . She never got respect and she did not allow Joseph to go near Kathy again. She venomed Joseph against Kathy and falcone which made Joseph aloof to them. 

She was again pregnant with twins Arsenio and Arsenal. Alicia never allowed her kids to go near Falcone and venomed them too. But when the Father in law came back after his mission . He saw How much Falcone suffered due to the negligence of Joseph, he was the one who married Joseph to Kathy as he liked her but hated Alicia . He already dethrone Joseph for betraying Kathy which provoked Joseph to hate Kathy and her son. Alicia never allowed Joseph to go to Falcone’s mother. Even When she was ill Alicia drugged Kathy in medicine to get the queen title but Her father in law never accepted Joseph and Alicia relationship.

She wanted her son to give her what she wanted and now she was happy . Killing for power was always considered lawfully in their community.

Arsenio was sitting near the window and saw Nandini watering the plant. Her skin and face was glowing and Arsenio wanted to taste Nandini but due to the chaos he couldn't . He felt bad to make her a pawn to save himself and DInara. He wanted to impress her and then bed her, but Nandini was aloof with everything except her kids. He gave many hints of his feelings but Nandini never aired them.

He wanted to get Nandini before Falcone when he saw her at a picnic with kids in Belarus. She was giggling like a fresh daffodil flower , even though he forgot about his mission to annihilate someone. He got every information about her and wanted to marry her but due to Falcone’s involvement made his plan to get her filthy and delayed . He wanted her but without losing anything. 

Arsenio had worked hard to get this position . It was not so easy for him to win Falcone's trust . Being the son of Alicia was no advantage for him . In this household , his status was only to be the son of another woman . Arsenio had the love of his parents since childhood , but he wanted power and along with the kingdom of Alberto clan , not only love . 

Joseph was not in love with his wife Kathy i.e. Falcone's mother , but he got married according to an agreement or an ally between two powerful D'Alberto and Greco. Joseph did everything in which he took revenge on Kathy so that she would suffer and nullify the marriage but Kathy was in love with Joseph . Kathy died but Joseph was given a son who took his dream of becoming a Capo . From birth he became an apple in his grandfather's eyes. Unwantedly The Time took such a vengeance that till date Joseph was paying the brunt of losing his honour and post .

He desperately wanted to be the king whether he needed to kill his own blood. Arsenio was always obedient to Joseph so he thought to pass his legacy to Arsenio. Both were selfish and power hungry.

Arsenio was looking at Nandini from the window and chugging his sparkling honey colored scotch Chivas when his attention broke after listening to Dinara 

 " She's very beautiful isn't she ? " 

" Yes ! Undoubtedly, " Arsenio looked at Nandini greedily and gulped the last mouthful of Chivas

" Okay can I help you to get her? " 

" You ? How ? " 

" Oh only on one condition . Get me married to Falcone and let me be the Queen or kill Falcone then you will marry me and make me your Queen , so technically you do whatever you want , but you will have to make me a queen . " 

"That maid or any slut, I don't mean or stop you to have any mistress of yours . " 

"What if I don't agree ? " Arsenio demanded

" Oh there is a cure for this too , I have all your proofs in which you tried to kill Falcone thrice and you are behind that maid's coming here too . You will go and your attraction too . " said Dinara while smiling and sipping her favorite wine Chianti Classico

" Dinara , if you have my proof , then you also have my proof. How many nights did you spend with me and sometimes with your junior designers as favors . " 

"Grow up Darling….go and show that Falcone , it is only my compulsion to bear that Falcone because Dad did promise and since childhood showed me the dream of becoming the Queen of this kingdom and I will not let it break at any cost . "

 " Okay !What's the plan ? "

"I'm having a party next week , Falcone will come and I will spike his drink. I will sleep with him to get pregnant . Then I will get married ."

"Meanwhile you can go to that maid and have your ways with her. "

"Don't Say rubbish " Arsenio exclaimed

After two days was Diwali and her birthday , Nandini wanted to give up . But this time her condition was different but still she had arranged for some candles , lamps and sweets . Falcone's absence was comforting to her and she was able to do all the work without any problem .

" Aspan I don't know you have to come . You promised " 

" Rapunzel!I know girl my ear is bleeding stop screaming * Amber and Nandini were together and Aspan was on a video call . These days Amber and Nandini have become very close . Amber always thought of him as her little sister . But he also had the grief of not being able to help Nandini , which Nandini understood . After a while , Phoebe also joined the call . He had gone to Iceland for one of his IT projects . He had sent several IT gadgets for Edwin along with Amber which Edwin liked very much . 

"Yes, on this Diwali your birthday is also coming on the same day. Tell me what you want . " 

" Nothing , just stay together and be happy " Amber made tea for Nandini. Nadini took it gladly and Amber sat closed to her which made frowns on both males. 

" Have you got a cold again Rapunzal ? "

" Yeah , I don't like the cold here, it doesn't suit me . " 

" Amber , will you take our girl away from us ? Phoebe has come to make her tea even though we both don't know . " Aspan complained when Nandini rolled her eyes.

"Bad habit N!" Phoebe warned.

"Okay Father" she again rolled her eyes.

" And don't you guys know anything , now let me give my little sister a head massage and you two won't disturb it " 

" I Don't Need It Amber Brother"

 " Sshhh not a word . " Amber shushed her. He gave kids a tour of the city and Nandini was happy to see their happy faces.

" Well , I will not be able to come because it is very important for me to be in the project " her thought chain broke by Phoebe.

" I know P, You don't have to said that so much , that is enough you gave a thought , promise me that you will meet me immediately after finishing the work . " Nandini beamed fakely so that Phoebe didn't feel bad. Amber held her shoulder to understand her thoughts.

" Promise ! You wait for me ?" Phoebe was relieved.

"Shakal you will come to celebrate Diwali and my birthday together "

 " Sure , but I'll be late " 

"It will work , but you must come"

" Come on now you get a head massage from this crappy man , bye " 

* Go on , the jealousy is clearly visible . " Amber gave Nandini a head massage and went to his house . 

" Mom and Dad , you always used to say that festivals bring happiness but I have forgotten what happiness is , this time my birthday is also on Diwali . Your every wish will be fulfilled , believe me . "

Next day Nandini went to Aslan to give food today and said angrily 

" Don't do these tantrums , if I don't come then you will not eat? Everyone in the forest will not be afraid of you . The king is powerful , not weak . " Aslan was hearing and all the workers around were smiling 

" There is magic in this girl . Human beings and animals are also attracted to it . "

" Truth to be told , and this girl only knows the language of love . This lion does not allow anyone to come near her except the Capo and look , he lives with this girl as if she is her caretaker . Always ready to help everyone . Very bad happened with this but still it did not say anything bad to anyone . May God fill her bag with happiness . "

Aslan sat down and gestured for Nandini to sit on top of him . " 

"Don't let me sit , you're starting to insist repeatedly, " Aslan put his head in Nandini's lap and Nandini started caressing his mane's hair . 

"Aslan You know ? I am feeling a bit weird these days, like something really bad is about to happen . I can't tell this to Amber , Phoebe and Aspan , they'll all leave their jobs and come to me . I don't want all that Aslan. My concern is about my children . If something happens to me , who will take care of them ? " 

Aslan growled listening to Nandini's words . " Okay , don't get angry , I will not say such things . I am feeling sleepy . I want to sleep , but as soon as I start sleeping I see my mother and father are crying . " Aslan started looking at Nandini carefully and started running here and there . Nandini also started running with him when she saw that Aslan had taken her to the bank of the river where there was a rock which was very cold because of the water . Nandini and Aslan sat there and both slept there .

Whole Alberto's were busy preparing for the party. Nandini was decorating her dorm as today was Deepawali and her birthday too. Last night at 12 am Aspan and Phoebe wished her on AMber’s phone. Nandini was happy and someone was glaring at her . She was wearing some different dresses but looking gorgeous. Arsenio was losing his mind but here he needed to perform the plan first.

“Today I will confess my feelings and make you mine. BUt first I need to work on my plan.” He went to his west wing and then Falcone’s under mansion store where every kind of weapon design was kept. He took the blue prints and copied them. He sent them to someone . 

Nandini went to give food to Aslan but today he was a bit cranky. He was not leaving Nandini. FInally Nandini Made him understand that she would come tomorrow and share all the details. Aslan sat quietly there but Nandini came and made him eat his food . She was sad too that she could not take Aslan with her. 

Aslan kept his head in her lap and after sometime Nandini left. SHe became busy in preparation. SHe madeGoddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesh with clay . Amber was amazed looking at all the preparations. He brought some sweets but Nandini made kheer. Cook helped her to make whatever for her festival. 

In the evening the whole family went to the party . Servants were dispersed to their quarters. Nandini made prasad and lit diyas in her dorm. Amber helped her and took the kids outside to let Nandini rest. Kids were happy too. Nandini was wearing an Alka 's saree as she always wanted to celebrate every festival with an Indian touch. But she don't know why she wore saree for the first time. 

Amber praised her that she looked like an angel and the kids too. At night everyone lit diyas and Nandini distributed prasad to everyone. She made Indian cuisine and AMber enjoyed it. Aspan already informed them that he was on the way to Italy for her Birthday and Diwali. So Nandini was waiting for Aspan. 

Amber asked her to rest but she denied. Late at night Nandini put the kids to sleep and wanted to go for change but she heard the car honking and ran outside . She thought Aspan came and he was tired so she prepared the food on the plate and went to the drawing room. Whole area was a little dark as the family was at the party at Dinara house and decided to stay there. 

“Shakal , this is not fair. I was waiting for you at my dorm and you came here. It’s too dark here. Come, I made your favorite. Thank me later for first tasting it.” Nandini chirped. Although she was feeling something wrong with Aspan, she still ignored it. 

“You didn’t wish me Shakal. Yesterday you were talking like you cared so much. What happened now?” She kept her food on the table and went to him. SHe held his elbow and turned him and was shocked looking at the person in front of her. She took some steps back when found charcoal black orbs were looking at her intently. SHe became conscious

“I am sorry Master!” She moved back to go but he said

“What happened ? Why are you so tense?” He asked her with an extra calm voice which raised her heartbeat.

“Nothing Master! I w..was l..loking for Aspan as he was returning back tonight. Sorry for disturbing your peace . I am going just now.”

“What’s all this? You look different and ….beautiful, gorgeous..” Falcone moved to her and her fragrance made Falcone restless

“S..Sorry M..Master I..I..Actually today is Deepawali , Our Indian festival so ..I..I celebrate little. “

“With whom do you celebrated?”

“W….With everyone.”

“Why not with me? You are ignoring me which I hate to the core. “ his voice became heavy.

“MAster I am going please don’t be angry” She tried to go away but Falcone clutched her from Elbow and kept his nose in the crook of her neck. Nandini was getting alarmed as Falcone was behaving a bit weird.
