Chapter Six
"Wake up!" Hailey shakes me awake. I sit up sleepily and immediately notice that Hailey has woken the other girls up as well.
"Wha's goin' on?" Taylor asks, half asleep.
"Dumbledore's called us all into the Great Hall. Reckon it's because of Sirius Black." Hailey says.
"Sirius Black?" I slur my words in a drowsy haze. "That's ok! He's my mum's cousin!"
Hailey gives me a patronizing look for a second. "C'mon sleepyhead, let's get moving." She says, grabbing my hand and pulling me out of bed.
By the time we reach the common room, I'm fully awake. "Did I really say that?" I groan.
Taylor nods. "Sure you didn't have any firewhiskey at the Halloween party?" She jokes. I nod. "I'm pretty sure I didn't!"
"Is Sirius Black really your second cousin?" Lauren asks curiously.
"Yes, he is." I say. "My mother's maiden name was Black. She's got two other sisters. No one really ever mentions Sirius or Andromeda though. Mum always talks about my aunt Bellatrix whenever she discusses her family."
"Bellatrix as in Bellatrix Lestrange?" Taylor exclaims, a bit of fear on her face. I nod again.
"Excuse me, but can someone explain who we're talking about?" Isabel cuts in.
"Sirius Black was the traitor who betrayed the Potters to You-Know-Who." Amber explains in a hushed voice. "And Bellatrix Lestrange was sent to Azkaban for torturing a couple of Aurors to insanity."
"Have you ever met them?" Lauren asks curiously.
"No," I shake my head. "At least, not that I can remember."
"Shhh!" A prefect exclaims, coming up behind us and pushing us towards the Great Hall faster. "There'll be plenty of time in the morning to discuss family trees, but right now safety is priority!"

Lying down in the Hall, no one can go back to sleep. I spot my brother all the way across the Great Hall, his "injury" wrapped up and roll my eyes.
"Back to your family." Isabel says. We've caught her interest with the stories from the last Wizarding War. "Tell me more."
"There really isn't much more to tell." I say.
"Charissa, that's a lie and you know it." Amber laughs.
"Yeah!" Taylor agrees. "What about those rumors?"
"Which ones?" I groan. "Seems like there's a new one everyday."
"What's hidden in Malfoy Manor?" Lauren asks, scooting in to close off our circle.
"Even I don't know the extent of it." I admit. "Only that I apparently almost died several times when I was younger from exploring too much."
"Ok, next question. Is it true that your father was a Death Eater?" Amber asks.
I lean in so no one but us five can hear and whisper "Yes he was." The girls gasp, but Amber just smirks. "I knew it."
"You did? How?" I question.
"It is kind of obvious, in her defense." Taylor says. "Ancient family obsessed with Dark Magic and blood purity? Check! Charges mysteriously dropped? Check! Plenty of money to have payed someone off? Check!"
I shrug. "Good point."
"Shhh!" The kid next to us grumbles. "Some of us want to get some sleep!"

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.

Conquest Of Mortem
*NOTE* This novel is a war of attrition. To say anything less is a disservice to its demand. While comparable to other such works as Ulysses or Moby Dick, each sentence in Conquest is an enemy to be tackled. Not in the ways of difficulty but in absurd density that wishes nothing more than to destroy what patience you may have. Do not tackle chapters as you would ordinary chapters in an ordinary book. Tackle each chapter as a book unto itself. A foe to be vanquished, a period of life to leave behind. Seek to be master of this work. Seek to overcome. For in its design is the willpower, and the perseverance, and the strength of someone who sought meaning in struggle. As I discovered these in times of ultimate desperation, so I hope for you to discover these things. This novel is a love letter to your trials. May you overcome them. May you master them. May you become conquerer.- SeedSagaA literary epic for logophiles, philosophers, and poets alike. A journey into zeitgeist, the impact of media on culture, and the endurance of morality against an onslaught of hatred. These vague descriptions do little to compact Conquest's density into a bite-size summary. They do however relate the basest themes found within. A plot, if such can be surmised, is strung thinly across multiple perspectives, weaving together these concepts into a seemingly distorted tapestry of indecipherable events. Inspired by early 20th century modernism, Conquest will challenge the reader, and provide critique on the medium upon which all great stories are derived. Further interpretation is up to you now; an explorer among a sea of words. Venture on and discover what lies ahead, in...CONQUEST OF MORTEM
