《She-Wolf》Riders on the Storm

The lights are flickering in the deserted hospital, where the floors in the halls are covered with scraps of paper and dead leaves blown in by the wind. Down the main hallway, toward the elevator, where the metal doors are groaning under Liam's hands as he wrenches the doors open with his super strength.

Now free to move around, Liam and Liz slowly walk out of the elevator, visibly uneasy as a result of how quiet and abandoned the building appears to be. Liam sees the faraway look in Liz's eyes and grabs her hand in an attempt to silently comfort her.

When they reach the emergency room receptionist desk, they both get a bad feeling and look down an adjacent hall, though Liam is confused when he finds nothing amiss.

"Liam," Liz breaks the silence while squeezing Liam's hand.

He turns around and his eyes widen in alarm at the sight of the same list of cities as the Phantom Train Station on the wall behind the reception desk. He follows her gaze to the top city row, which shuffles between several different towns before stopping at "BEACON HILLS." The arrival time for the train is 2:20 AM, and the other visible cities include Bodie, Boneville, Pripyat, Bannack, Skido, Canaan, Garnet, Harappa, and Red Bird.

~~~
Stiles and Selene are staring at the same bulletin board of city names and their arrival times while in the captivity of the Wild Hunt. After a moment, what appears to be a train ticket blows across the floor in the wind, and when they look down at it, they suddenly hear two familiar voices calling their names.
"Lydia?" Stiles wonders at the same time Selene nearly whispers "Brett." hopefully.
"Attention all passengers-- the train will be arriving in twenty-five minutes," The PA system announces.
"Is it me or did that voice sound familiar?" Selene wonders.
"Lydia and Brett's?" Stiles asks as if her comment didn't make sense.
"No, the PA." Selene shakes her head. "But you're also hearing them?"
"Yeah, what if..." Stiles turns to Selene with a hopeful smile. Selene meets it with the same expression. They start to follow the voices. Only, the other people in the station had gotten up and were walking in that direction, obstructing the two teens' pad. Then a shot sounds and the people part like the red sea.
"Give the kids some room," Stilinski says.
"Dad? Dad!" Stiles flies in his dad's arms and they hug each other tightly.
"Oh, thank God. Oh, I found you. I can't believe I found you."
"Dad, Selene and I can hear Lydia and Brett. I think... I think we can get to them. I think they can get us out of here."
"You need to get out of here. Don't worry about me."
"What? You're kidding, right?"
"Go. Get help. Find your friends."
"Yeah? And what about you?"
"We'll find each other again."
"Dad..."
"Stiles... I'll hold them back. Now, get the hell out of here. Go. Go!"
Selene grabs Stiles and nods at the Sheriff. They run towards the train tracks and the light. They again hear Lydia and Brett's voices calling to them, urging them to keep going.
~~~

"Stiles! Selene! Keep going! I can see you! Don't stop!" Lydia and Brett urge. The light fades. "Stiles? Selene?"

"Lydia...? Brett...?" Scott says in a questioning tone.

"Where are they? It was working. You saw them, right?" Lydia asks.

"...We didn't see anyone," Malia replies.

"No, she was here. I know it. Selene was here," Brett protests.

~~~
Suddenly, in the school parking lot, Stiles' Jeep turns on, its headlights blazing in the night's shadows. A moment later, Stiles' hands are seen raised in the air as they grip his steering wheel and pull him up, as though he fell through the rift and landed directly in the driver seat. Selene also pulls herself up and smiles at Stiles disbelievingly.
~~~

Scott and Malia lead Lydia and Brett back into the bunker. Liam and Liz appear and stop Scott from closing the door.

"Liam!" Scott nearly shouts.

"There's something you need to see," Liam says.

"You're still here..." Brett points out.

"But everyone else is gone. All of them-- they're all gone. Look, you have to come with us," Liz explains.

"What is it?" Scott asks.

"We can't explain it. I have to show you," Liam answers. Scott and Brett share a look before nodding.

"Uh... All right. You guys stay here. Just in case," Scott tells Malia and Lydia.

"In case Stiles and Selene come back?" Malia asks.

"If there's any hope, you need to keep trying."

~~~
Selene and Stiles arrive at Scott's house and yell his name while running through the house.
They're horrified when he arrives at the Sheriff's station, as no one else is to be found in the building, and his dad's office is in shambles from Liam and Hayden's fight against the Ghost Riders. After a moment, he sees a microphone to the PA system on the desk and suddenly gets an idea.
~~~

Malia decides she's not staying in the bunker. She tells Lydia that Stiles and Selene won't come there and, since Lydia feels strongly that they're back, they should go look for them. They go looking.

~~~
There are now train tracks running down the length of the hallway at Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital. Liam and Liz tell Scott and Brett that it's also happening at school, the lacrosse field, all over. Scott doesn't understand what's happening. Garrett Douglas appears and says, "It means it's working."
~~~

Lydia and Malia find tire marks in the school parking lot. Malia decides they're from Stiles' jeep. Lydia points out that he doesn't have his keys but Malia says he often started it with just a screwdriver anyway. Lydia wants to tell Scott. Malia notices the train tracks now extend from the entrance to the school across the parking lot.

~~~
"He can't take both of us," Scott points out.
"No way," Liam affirms.
"Debatable," Brett muses.
"Hollenhund!" Douglas calls and Parrish appears behind him.
"Parrish. Parrish, you don't wanna do this. Stop!" Liz tries but Parrish doesn't seem to want to listen.
"The train is coming, boys. There's no stopping the Wild Hunt. You'll make a fine Ghost Rider, Scott. And I'll have a True Alpha by my side," Douglas taunts.
"Yeah... I don't see it," A voice suddenly speaks up, making everyone turn to Selene who's frowning as if trying to imagine the picture Douglas just described in her head. "Yeah... no I think this True Alpha is going to stick to kicking your ass."
"Who... what?" Douglas seems angrily confused.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I step on your moment?" She feigns ruefulness and holds out her hand. "Selene Vulpes, I'm kinda well-known around here, you know, as long as mythological creatures don't mess with people's minds." Douglas growls and Selene smirks. He claws at her but she dodges easily. "Oh, come on. I know you can do better than that."
She dodges a few more of his attack before kicking him in the chest. Douglas slides across the hall.
"Bad guy, right? We didn't misread that?" Stiles asks. Selene smiles when she notices Brett and runs towards him. He places his hands on her cheeks and pulls her towards him when she's close enough. He presses his lips against hers.
"I've wanted to do that since seventh grade," Brett whispers against her lips breathlessly.
"Well, why didn't you?" Selene smiles.
Meanwhile, Stiles reunites with Scott and Liam while Liz stands there awkwardly.
"Uhm, lovebirds we got some other issues," Stiles points out. Selene turns around to see Parrish in flames ready to throw a fireball.
"Lizzie, some help, please?" Selene asks as she starts to backtrack.
"What?" Everyone questions.
"Huh? Ow, right!" The blonde witch moves her arms forward with a twist. Pushing air forward she uses it to propel her spell. The fireball disappears in mid-air. Without leaving anyone to be surprised by Liz's skill, Selene pulls the witch with her as they run away.
~~~

Lydia and Malia follow the tracks to the school library. The interior is transformed into a version of the phantom train station. Dozens of people are sitting or just standing around in a trance-like state. The women work out that if there's a station, there's a train and everyone is going to be taken to the Wild Hunt. Malia attempts to yell at people to wake them from their trance. It doesn't work.

~~~
"Corey? Corey?? How many rooms does this place have?" Mason asks agitated.
"Beyond the fifty-seven we've already searched? Probably enough for all of Beacon Hills," Hayden replies.
"Considering how many people are in Beacon Hills and the average amount of people in the room... I'd say about three times that," Reed comments. Hayden and Mason look at him incredulously. He gives an awkward smile in return.
"We're never going to find him..." Mason concludes.
"Just keep looking," Hayden protests.
"Attention all passengers. The train will be arriving in nineteen minutes," The PA announces.
"Okay, we're running out of time. Mason, you always know where he is."
"Yeah, except for right now," Mason replies bitterly.
"But you find him eventually. Just clear your mind. Focus,"
"Attention all passengers. The train will be arriving in nineteen minutes," The PA repeats.
"...It's him." Mason realizes.
~~~

"I can't believe we're gone a couple days and the whole place falls apart," Stiles complains as he and Selene search the hospital for something.

"No, you were gone for three months," Scott corrects him.

"We were-- what? Okay, if they don't let me graduate, I swear to God..." Stiles complains as he stops in front of Scott, Liam, Brett, and Liz.

"What are you looking for?" Liam asks.

"This," Selene says as she shows a canister of liquid nitrogen. "...And him." She says as Parrish shows up.

"Grab him. Grab him now," Stiles orders. Scott, Brett, and Liam grab the Hellhound and push him against the wall as Selene sprays him with the super-cooled liquid. Liam shrieks in a high tone as Selene stops spraying. "Liam, you're fine."

"God, that doesn't feel good, you know?" Liam complains. Selene chuckles and crouches down in front of Parrish.

"Feeling better?" She asks him.

"Stiles? Selene? What are you doing here?" Parrish asks.

"Buddy, love you, but we're way past that, okay? You gotta fill us in. What's going on?" Stiles asks.

"Douglas... He's merging the worlds so the Ghost Riders can cross over," Parrish explains.

"Yeah, he wants his supernatural army in our world," Liam adds.

"Sounds logic-Wait he's trying to make the Ghostriders his army? Good luck with that," Selene scoffs. They give her incredulous looks and she coughs. "I mean... bad luck with that...? Very... very bad luck with that."

"How do we stop him?" Liz asks.

"The train. It's coming." Parrish replies as Brett and Selene help him up.

"Okay, and how do we stop that?" Scott asks.

"You can't stop it... But you can divert it."

~~~
Stiles, Liam, Brett, Liz, Selene and Scott follow the tracks to the school.
"Okay, how the hell do you 'merge worlds?' Okay, nowhere in the manual does it say that Werewolves can do that, and Scott, Selene, and I pretty much wrote the manual," Stiles complains.
"We can't even move between them, all right? Look what it took to break you out," Scott points out.
"Well, we don't really know... considering we were stuck in the place you were trying to get out off," Selene points out. Liz snorts but quickly quiets her giggles.
"We can't move between worlds, but Corey can. He can exist in both worlds..." Liam remembers.
"...And he can take people with him," Scott adds.
"Yeah, at Scott's house! He pulled a Ghost Rider into our world."
"At the lacrosse game, he brought us into theirs."
"So Corey's the key?" Selene asks.
"Interesting theory, okay? Solid logic. It is, but he's in there, and we're out here. So, the only way to save everyone now is to just divert the train," Stiles points out.
"We have to find him," Liam counters.
"How?" Brett asks. Liz and Liam share a look.
"No." Selene's look was harsh as the younger teens turn to face her.
"...I'm going into the Hunt," Liam says and he and Liz run away.
"My God," Selene complains.
"Were we like that?" Stiles asks as he looks after the two teens.
"Worse," Selene replies.
"Parrish said we just have to follow the tracks." Scott reminds them of the task.
"Yeah, well... those lead into the woods. This way back into the school," Stiles points out.
"You wanna split up?" Brett asks.
"Never again," Selene replies and grabs his hand.
~~~

Liam and Liz rush up the stairs and notice one of the Riders' horses on the lawn of the school.

"Are we sure of this?" Liz asks.

"No," Liam answers truthfully.

"Oh... okay... we're going to die,"

"I hate horses." Liam grabs the railing and prepares to jump. Liz lets out a shriek and Liam turns around as fast as he can. "Liz!"

"Go!" The word leaves her lips as she struggles to breathe in the Ghost Rider's grip. Then Theo appears and stabs the Ghost Rider with his claws making it release Liz. She gasps for breath as Liam catches her. "You made it out!"

"Yeah, barely. What's the plan?" Theo asks as he struggles with the Ghost Rider. Liam and Liz share a look.

"Uh, steal the horse and get into the Hunt," Liam answers. Theo gives them a disbelieving look.

"You're kidding, right? I went through all this to keep you from being taken!"

"Uhm ...You need a hand?" Liz asks.

"I'm good." And with that, he snaps the Ghost Rider's neck.

"Evidentially." Theo and Liz turn to Liam.

"What?"

"Then go, already!" Theo replies. Liam jumps over the railing and lands on the horse.

"Do you even know how to ride a horse?" Liz asks.

"Not really," Liam answers and rides off.

"Well, I suppose I should've expected that."

"Probably," Theo comments

In the library, Lydia spots Peter and suggests Malia use emotion to get through to him. Malia hesitates but eventually puts some emotion behind her calls of "Dad!" Peter hears her, drops the newspaper he's staring at and stands up.

~~~
"The train will be arriving in seventeen minutes..." The PA announces as Hayden and Reed follow Mason who is trying to figure out where the PA office is.
"Are you sure it's him?" Hayden questions.
"I know his smile, I know his touch... And I know that that's his voice. It has to come from somewhere," Mason replies. The sound of Ghost Riders fills the station.
"Mason, we have to go," Hayden warns.
"Wait," Reed says.
"What do you mean wait?!"
"I mean wait, what else would 'wait' mean?"
Then the horse rides into the station... with Liam on it's back.
"Liam?" Hayden questions disbelievingly.
"No, the mailman,"
"When did you learn how to ride a horse?" Hayden ignores Reed.
"Just now," Liam replies breathlessly.
~~~

Brett, Scott, Stiles, and Selene find the switch in the woods.

"Wait! Wait! Get down," Scott stops them.

"Why are we stopping?" Brett and Stiles ask.

"It's there... It can't be this easy."

"Yes, it can, Scott. It can be this easy! For once, let's do easy," Stiles says and starts to walk over to the switch.

"It's not this easy, is it?" Brett questions as Scott follows behind Stiles. Selene gives him a look that asks him if he believes it himself. "Yeah..." Still they follow their friends.

It wasn't that easy.

One by one they get 'taken' by Douglas.

~~~
Stiles reappears on the floor of the girl's locker room at school.
~~~

In the library, Lydia and Malia bring Peter up to speed. Loudspeaker Corey says the train will be arriving in 12 minutes. Peter is hesitant to try to stop the people from boarding the train. He says it's impossible but Malia says they can try. A Ghost Rider appears in the tunnel.

~~~
Scott reappears on the stairs in the school hallway. Stiles joins him and they speculate that the worlds are collapsing in on each other. Corey's voice comes over the school's PA system and says the train is now 11 minutes away. Scott says they need to get back to the "diverter" meaning the railroad switch in the woods. Scott reappears in the storage room off the chemistry classroom and hears the riders all around.
~~~

"Not that easy," Selene grumbles as she gets up. She looks around and realizes she's in the hallway leading to the lacrosse field. A door opens and she flicks out her claws only to realize it's Brett.

"Okay, so. What now?"

"Now, we try to get to that diverter, fight Douglas, try not to get killed,"

"That sounds way easier than it's probably going to be." Selene snorts.

"That sounds easy to you?"

~~~
Malia growls at the rider in the library. Lydia steps in front of her, knowing the rider won't attack her. Peter is not convinced and steps in to take on the rider instead. The rider whips Peter. He tries to fight back but his punches don't land, seeming to go right through the rider's body.
Another rider appears and whips at Malia, catching her arm. She yells in pain. Peter hears this and, in concern for his daughter, turns his back on the rider he's fighting. He pushes Malia to relative safety and takes on both riders at once. He kicks out at the rider with the whip and, while his foot passes partially through its body, he manages to connect with something solid and knock the rider down. The cowboys are fully solid now and Peter takes them both on. They manage to get the best of him. He yells for Malia to run but she turns back and rushes to help him fight them.
Alone Lydia senses something in the hallway and rushes to investigate.
~~~

Scott is attacked by two riders who shoot and whip at him. He manages to escape and makes it to the tracks.

~~~
Corey's voice says the train will arrive in 9 minutes. Inside the phantom train station, Liam, Hayden, Reed, and Mason find Corey wired into the electronics in the radio room. He says the train will be arriving in 8 minutes.
~~~

Stiles reappears in the locker room cursing. He makes for the door but a rider is waiting. Stiles grabs his arm to keep it from firing its weapon. It fires a gun but misses. Stiles calls out for Scott but it's Lydia's Banshee scream that answers him. She throws the rider across the room.

Lydia catches her breath and says, "I didn't say it back." Stiles rushes to her saying, "You didn't have to." They kiss passionately and then remain in a tight embrace.

~~~
Melissa McCall and Chris Argent are trapped in another part of the wild hunt train station. They've tried the doors but they're chained shut in this section. Melissa opines that they could use a werewolf to bust open the doors. Chris says he'd like to have one around for another reason; a ghost rider just appeared. It pins Argent up against a column but the hunter manages to grab its gun and shoots him.
