The Beast lands in the middle of a dark road. Sirens can be heard in the distance. A group of Sheriff's vehicles are racing down the road with Scott and Stiles close behind in the jeep. A series of radio calls describe what they're seeing.

Clark– Unit 5 heading northwest on Crescent. Reporting an incredibly large something.

Unit 9 – Unit 9 to dispatch. I think I've got eyes on the same thing. It's some kind of rabid animal.

Deputy Clark – Unit 5 to 9. Trust me, that's no animal.

In another location, in the midst of what looks to be a multi-car pileup, Deputy Strauss (Aaron Thornton) is the only officer on scene.

Deputy Strauss– Unit 6 to dispatch. We have a situation downtown involving multiple fatalities.

Dispatch – Copy. Medics on the way. Do you have a perp in sight Unit 6?

Deputy Strauss - Negative. Looks like a 1091-E, Animal Attack. Dispatch – 10-4. Can you say what kind of animal?

Back on the road with the other deputies, Stiles decides to act.

Stiles – All units stay back. Do not engage. I repeat. Do not engage.

Sheriff Stilinski– Stiles! Get off the radio. All unit alert. Wait for backup. Repeat. No one goes near this thing.

Deputy Clark – Unit 5 reporting a sighting off Hill Road southbound.

Unit 9 – Unit 9. I've got it turning off Oak Ridge, southbound on Beachwood. Dispatch – All units. This is Dispatch. We've got a 911 call with an additional sighting on Mitcham.

At this news, the Sheriff pushes the accelerator further.

In the Jeep, Scott and Stiles realize that the sightings suggest the beast's destination.

Stiles – Dad.

Sheriff – Stiles get off this channel!

Stiles – Dad just listen to me. He's headed for the hospital. All right? He's headed for Beacon Memorial. Do you hear me? He's headed for the hospital.

Selene is working at work at BEACON HILLS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and has apparently just received word from Sheriff Stilinski about the current threat because she is currently standing behind the nurse's station as she loudly gives instructions through the PA system for the employees and patients frantically bustling through the halls.

"Again, this is a Code White-- a full hospital evacuation. All critical patients will be taken by ambulance to Hill Valley" Selene announces.

Suddenly, the ground starts to shake beneath their feet as a loud thumping noise is heard several floors below them, affecting the electrical system to the point where the lights flicker above them as the people in the halls scream in fright and run faster toward the exits. Selene's eyes widen in alarm, but she forces herself to stay calm as she walks toward the elevator as the hallways clear out.

"Selene!" Selene hears Mellisa (who was evacuating on a lower floor) yell and her eyes glow red. The elevator doors start to open and a loud growling noise echoes through the hall.

Sheriff – Unit 5. Clark, I need eyes on Parrish. Does anyone have Parrish's 20?

Dispatch – All units. We have a 911 emergency call reporting a man on fire running into Beacon Memorial.

Sheriff – Clark disregard.

Scott and Stiles enter the hospital followed quickly by the sheriff. They hear loud growls coming from above. Scott says they're on the fourth floor. They find charred bits and some still parts of the hallway still burning. As they turn the corner a flaming man comes flying past them and smacks into the wall. Parrish's flames disappear followed a few seconds later by the fire in his eyes. He seems dazed until the Sheriff shouts at him.

Scott finds beast tracks in blood on the floor. As he follows them, the tracks go from being clawed feet to bloody shoe prints. Scott hears someone groan and quickly turns to the sound.

"Scott" Selene says through grinted teeth because of the pain. She's clawed up and Scott quickly rushes towards her.

"Are you alright?" Scott asks. Selene motions for him to come closer so she can whisper something in his ear, Scott does so.

"Don't ask stupid questions" she whispers and Scott chuckles.

Deaton has a file he says shouldn't exist. It's pictures and other records of experimentation carried out on living people by Valack during his time as Chief Medical Officer of Eichen House. The pictures show looks look to be a series of dead creatures. There is one of a Banshee who died screaming. Deaton says Valack experimented on Werewolfs, Wendigos and any creature he could get his hands on. Valack found that trepanation would initially heighten a subject's powers but the higher levels couldn't be contained.

Scott surmises that Valack wants to make Lydia more powerful. Deaton says Lydia's abilities are already pretty exceptional. A hole in her head will be like a leak in a nuclear reactor. She would hear every dying scream all at once and her own dying scream could be so powerful it might kill everyone around her.

The sheriff tells Stiles he's doing everything he can to get Lydia out of Eichen House but it's really up to her mother. Stiles wants him to pressure her directly or to get a court order. The sheriff explains that trepanation is still considered a medical procedure and a court order would take months and the judge probably wouldn't grant it. The sheriff says there is nothing they can do "legally."

Stiles has just met up with Scott, Kira, Malia, Selene, Brett and Liam at the McCall house, where they have gathered around the island so that Scott and Stiles can inform them of their plan to break Lydia out of Eichen House. Stiles has his MacBook on the table, along with blueprints of the building as well as a map of the electrical system.

"There's four steps-- we get into Eichen, we get into the closed unit, we get Lydia, we get out." Stiles starts.

"And we have to do all of this while getting past orderlies, guards, electric door locks, and a mountain ash barrier" Scott adds. Malia, Kira, Brett and Liam are all looking at Scott and Stiles as though they're crazy. Selene simply raises an eyebrow.

"You have a plan for all that?" Brett asks. Stiles reaches into his pocket and pulls out an RFID key card.

"I stole this last night off an orderly... But, it's useless, 'cause they reset the codes each night" Stiles explains.

"So, why'd you take it?" Kira asks.

"I'm getting to that" Stiles says.

"The only way to get Lydia out of Eichen is to make that key card work again" Scott explains.

"Make act as if that's so easy" Selene says, shaking her head. "How are you going to do that?"

"We're getting to that, okay? Just listen-" Stiles says. Stiles turns his MacBook around so everyone can see the screen, which seems to have a log of some kind on it. "I pulled all the history off the key card. Two weeks ago, there was a brownout and the security system rebooted. During a reboot, all of the key cards revert back to a default code. So, if we trigger a reboot..." Liam nods in understanding and finishes his sentence for him.

"The card goes back to the default code. It works again"

Liam smirks happily as the scene cuts to a vision of what the break-out is supposed to look like-- at EICHEN HOUSE, Stiles approaches the door to the closed unit and slides the card through the card reader, which causes the digital lock to beep before the door pops open, allowing Stiles to slip through the door and shut it behind him. In the REAL WORLD, Kira looks uneasy about this plan.

"How are we going to cause a brownout?" She asks.

"That's your part. You're going to draw power from the main line-- but only enough to cause the brownout" Scott says.

"Not a blackout. Do that, and you send Eichen into lockdown, which would be bad. Very, very bad" Stiles adds. Scott looks down at the map of Eichen House's electrical system and points at a spot on it.

"There's an electrical room behind the reception counter. The main power line goes into two breakers that run power to all of Eichen" He explains.

Once again, the scene cuts to a vision of what the breakout should look like at EICHEN HOUSE-- Kira stands in front of two large copper wires in the electrical breaker box, and she takes a deep breath before she grabs with her bare hands in order to siphon electricity from them. Small bolts of foxfire spark from the palms of her hands prior to making contact with the wires.

In the REAL WORLD, Kira is looking overwhelmed and panicked by the prospect of this part of the plan.

"Okay, slight problem-- I don't know how to do that" Kira points out. Scott looks at her with a reassuring smile.

"That's okay! You have time to practice" He reassures her. Malia still doesn't look convinced about this plan.

"Let's say this goes perfectly. How does a brownout get us into the closed unit of Eichen?" Malia asks.

"The system takes five minutes to reboot. In that five minutes, all the alarms will be turned off. The key card should work" Stiles explains. Scott turns to address Liam, Selene and Brett.

"Liam, you, Selene, Brett and I get Stiles to the gate of the closed unit" He explains.

The scene cuts to a vision of how the breakout should go at EICHEN HOUSE, with Scott and Liam accompanying Stiles to the front gate just as Scott described. Stiles runs the stolen key through the key reader, causing it to beep before opening the door. Stiles looks at Scott and Liam nervously, and Scott nods at him in encouragement before Stiles walks through the door, leaving them alone in the hallway while Scott continues to explain the plan in voiceover.

"But after that, he has to go on his own. We can't get past the mountain ash barrier."

The scene cuts to Lydia's room, where she is awake and alert, without a hole drilled into her head. Stiles helps Lydia to her feet, putting his arm around her shoulders to help support her so they can leave the building together.

Back in the REAL WORLD, the pack finishes up their discussion about the plan.

"And, when we're gone, all anyone's going to think is that there was a reboot of the security system caused by a brownout" Scott explains. Stiles nods in agreement before gesturing to the others, though its clear by the tone of his voice that he's nervous.

"This is a terrible plan" Selene simply states.

"Shush, it's perfect. Any questions?" Stiles asks and Selene rolls her eyes. Kira, Malia, and Liam waste no time responding to this question.

"How do we get into Eichen House in the first place?" Liam asks.

"What's our worst case scenario?" Malia continues.

"What if I can't do it?" Kira adds anxiously. Stiles sighs, knowing that they have a point, and shrugs.

"Okay, admittedly, a lot could go wrong" He says. Brett gives Stiles an exasperated look.

"Everything could go wrong!" He points out. Selene, knowing that the pack needs more encouragement and that this is their only plan and shot, addresses them with a grim expression.

"Guys, if we don't do this, we lose Lydia. She's going to die in there tonight... unless we do something" Selene tells them. All seven of them exchange nervous looks, but nod, knowing that they need to do this for the sake of their best friend.

Dr. Valack and Nurse Cross (Mandy Levin) walk down an unused, leaky Eichen House corridor. From a storage locker Valack retrieves what appears to be a mask from one of the Dread Doctors. It's broken and burned. Valack says he hasn't put the mask on anyone in years. Nurse Cross expresses doubt that the mask will still work. When she turns away, Valack slams it down on her head. She convulses and screams for a few moments before settling down on the floor.

Kira and Malia are practising her electrical abilities in the biology lab at school. Kira is reluctant saying she doesn't know how to do what they're asking. Malia asks how she learned to do it before and how she learned to use a sword. Kira admits that she didn't learn, she just knew how to do it. Malia says Kira's never worked for anything and is basically a "cheater." When Kira expresses doubt that they can even get past the Eichen House front gate, Malia says she has "a guy on the inside."

Kira settles in to practice but instead of taking power from the grid, she sends more in and explodes the lightbulb. A shard of glass from the bulb is embedded in Malia's head. She plucks it gingerly from her skin and takes out a fresh lightbulb so they can try again.

Melissa retrieves body bags for Scott and Liam from the hospital morgue. She tells Scott not to come back in one. He assures her they're coming back with Lydia. Liam points out that they still don't know who the beast is if it's someone they know or even if that person knows they're doing it. He uses the word "He" to describe it and Melissa points out that it might not be a "He."

Melissa is brusque with Liam and he notices. She says she's not mad at him but if he tries to kill her son again she'll put him in one of the body bags herself. As Melissa turns away, Liam whispers, "She's still mad." Scott nods.

Stiles convinces Parrish to drive the Sheriff's van to Eichen House. The Deputy says it's not safe to bring him because he's dangerous. Stiles points out that the "giant werewolf who's killed over 30 people" is dangerous too but somehow Parrish survived it.

The biology lab is covered in broken lightbulbs. Malia is now wearing goggles and sitting a few feet away from Kira. Kira tries to ask about the Desert Wolf and her attempt to kill her and her plan to kill her mother. Malia quickly changes the subject back to Kira's practice with electricity. Malia takes off her goggles and gets in close again. She says she knows Kira will get it right because it's the only way to get Lydia out of Eichen House. Kira tries again. The bulb dims significantly but as soon as Malia points out that Kira is succeeding, she loses control, the bulb flashes brightly, breaks and the entire power grid of the school goes out. Both girls beat a hasty retreat.

After they exit the biology classroom, Corey becomes visible against the blackboard. He was apparently listening to them for some time.

Scott, Selene and Stiles have just met back up with each other in the school library, where they're discussing their encounter with the Beast the night before.

"Okay, my dad's got the lab working on the shoe prints, but, uh, we're all kind of mystified about how giant clawed werewolf feet turned back into a pair of sneakers" Stiles explains.

"Argent said it wouldn't be like anything we've ever seen before..." Scott points out and then looks at Selene.

"Did he say it was going to defy the laws of physics?" Stiles asks. He then notice Scott's look and sighs. "There's something we need to tell you"

"I already know now make sure I don't there his throat out" Selene says and growls. The boys, thinking she was talking about Gerard, frown a this. They both stop in their tracks and turn to look at what Selene seems to want to kill.

"What are you doing here?" Scott asks Theo as he grips Selene's wrist after she took a step forward.

"I still need to graduate" Theo replies.

"No. No, what you need is to be beaten. Severely. With a lead pipe wrapped in barbed wire-" Stiles starts but Theo interrupts him before he can continue.

"Okay, I admit, mistakes were made"

"Murders. Some murders were made!" Theo rolls his eyes at Stiles' aggressive comments.

"You know how the Soviets helped us win World War II? They knew how to make it through a Russian winter" Theo reminds him and Selene growls again.

"That it? Okay. Thank you, Theo. Very informative"

"If you're planning to break Lydia out of Eichen House, you still-" Theo's sentence is cut off by his jaw being connected to Selene's fist.

"You're the damn reason she's in there in the first place. So no, we don't want your help, we don't need it. Now if you want the steal the beast's power, good luck dying" Selene says and walks out of the library. Scott narrows his eyes at Theo suspiciously before following after Selene.

The sheriff tries to convince Natalie to get Lydia out of Eichen House. He says she knows what's going on, the closed unit at Eichen and what's down there. Natalie says she knows how to survive in Beacon Hills. She then relates the story of her mother-in-law and how she predicted the death of her wife. Natalie then says that she too had similar experience when she was in college. She had a feeling her sister was in trouble and later found out that her appendix had burst. Natalie says everybody has some story like that. The Sheriff suggests they are "undeniable proof of the supernatural" but she claims it's all coincidence and nothing more. He then leaves the file on Valack's experiments with her and says it might expand her definition of coincidence.

Kira tries to convince Scott that she can't cause the brownout. Everyone offers words of encouragement except for Malia. Stiles presses until Malia, halfheartedly, says Kira can do it.

At Eichen House, Kira and Malia walk in with a large group of visitors. They hide around the corner from the reception desk.

Parrish drives the van up to the guard shack claiming the animal attacks have filled up the hospital morgue and Eichen has the only other up to code morgue in the county. The guard is skeptical and wants to see the bodies but once Parrish opens one, revealing a badly decomposed, and apparently stinky, body. The guard tells him to go ahead without opening the other bags.

A naked teen, identified as Nelson, walks through the Eichen House lobby (Location: Mary Andrews Clark Memorial Home, Los Angles). Orderly Schrader (Clayton Fronning) leaves his post in reception to give chase. Kira and Malia use the distraction to enter the office behind the reception and find the electrical room.

Downstairs in the EICHEN HOUSE MORGUE, five full body bags are laying on the five autopsy tables in the room where Parrish has deposited them. After a moment, the bag on the right side starts to move from the inside as fingers poke at the zipper until it opens, revealing that Scott was inside. He gasps for breath and sits up as soon as he's free, which seems to be a cue that Liam, Brett, Selene and Stiles, who are in the other two bags, can open theirs as well. The five look at each other for a moment as Stiles makes a face.

"Oh, my God! Never. Again." He exclaims. Scott nods at him in agreement before pulling his phone out of his pocket and looking at the timer he has set on it, which reads 7:45:15 PM. He looks up at the four with a serious expression."Fifteen minutes starting now." He announces. Scott, Selene, Brett and Liam each quietly extricate themselves from their body bags without issue, while Stiles, who sat up on the table in order to make it easier on himself, flails too hard in his attempt to get out that he falls off of the table and onto the floor. Scott and Liam then give Stiles an exasperated look as he groans from the impact on the floor. Selene facepalms and gets off the table to help Stiles get up.

With 12 minutes to go, Kira and Malia find the electrical box.

In the van outside, with 10 and a half minutes left on his timer, Parrish is attracting unwanted attention from a group of guards.
