"Selene, Isaac, Scott and Allison go to the Argent house and find the wounded Chris Argent. Allison starts to stitch her father up.

"Its eyes were glowing," Scott says.

"There was something almost ritualistic about it. Like it was looking right into his soul" Chris explains.

"That's the same thing it did to me" Isaac admits.

"I think it was. I think it was searching our soul for... something. The thing behind our ear, it means self in Japanese. They only came after the werewolves and Lydia... Everyone with a connection to the supernatural. Maybe they can feel the supernatural?" Selene explains.

"Exactly," Chris says.

"Who was the guy they went after in Japan?"

"The kumicho. The yakuza boss. It was my first gun deal. I was only 18 and it was supposed to be a simple exchange. Except, Gerard-" Selene snorts in annoyance at the name ut everyone ignores that "- left out a simple detail about the buyers being Yakuza. He wanted to see if I could adapt in the moment. Testing my ability to improvise"

"And didn't give a shit if you died in the moment" Selene whispers, everyone ignores it again.

"The moment the sun went down... it was like they just materialized out of the shadows. They had swords. not curved like katanas"

"Straight, black steel. Like ninjatos" Chris nods.

"What did they want?" Scott asks.

"To get to the kumicho. They cut down every living thing in their way" Chris answers.

"They didn't mark them, did they?" Selene asks.

"Not the kind of mark you have"

"What mark then? The mark of death?"

"Yes"

"I was joking"

"I wasn't"

"What was he? The kumicho?"

"I don't know. But there might be someone who does. They're few others that survived that night. One of them was a guy named Katashi"

"Katashi? Silverfinger? Are you kidding me?"

"It looked like he was getting ready to take them all on himself. I've known for a while Katashi was in the country. I spent yesterday tracking him down"

"Didn't look like he wanted to be found" Isaac states pointing to Chris' wounds.

"Not particularly, no" Chris answers.

"You think he knows what they are? What they want?" Scott asks.

"Maybe" Chris replies.

"It's at least worth a try. He's not gonna wanna talk to just anyone" Selene points out.

"Yeah, what if he doesn't even remember you?" Isaac asks.

"He'll remember this" Chris says and takes out a box. He opens said box and reveals one of the Demon masks, this broken in several pieces.

"I would remember that" Selene admits.

Scott takes Kira home on his bike. She asks him if all his friends are werewolves then asks to see his werewolf face. He obliges and she touches the enhanced ridges of his forehead, his cheek, and his lips.

Later, as Scott is riding his dirt bike to school, the twins ride up and flank him. Scott races ahead but the twins easily keep up. Once they get to school the twins explain that they are planning to stick by Scott all day and all night to protect him from the "Demonic Ninjas." Scott suspects their interest in him has more to do with wanting to join his pack than a genuine desire to keep him safe.

He asks for some privacy while he brings Stiles up to speed on the events of the night before. He warns the twins not to listen in with "wolf hearing" implying that his status as a "True Alpha" gives him powers of which the twins are unaware. He seems to be making this up.

In the Chemistry classroom, Stiles is alarmed to find that the writing on the chalkboard is gone as is the extra key from his ring. He confesses to Scott that he believes he allowed Barrow into the Chemistry closet and then wrote a message to the killer on the chalkboard.

Stiles has found an old story about Barrow's attack on the school bus. The killer apparently packed nuts, bolts, and screws along with the bomb in a box wrapped as a birthday present. Stiles sees a similarity between this and the prank he and Scott pulled on on Mischief Night.

Stiles says it was his idea to do the box thing. Scott says he doesn't believe that Stiles is trying to kill people. Scott says Stiles looks tired and needs to take a sick day.

Scott rejoins the twins and speculates that he may not be the Oni's target. He looks to Kira down the hallway, who was standing right behind him.

"The real problem is Katashi doesn't see visitors. Ever. He's a paranoid recluse who barely steps outside the gates of his own estate" Chris explains.

"So how are we going to get to him?" Isaac asks.

"He's got a thing for rare antique weapons. Yesterday, I had put out the word I was selling one of my own collection" He says while getting a glass box with a gun in out of the closet.

"Is that a French Flintlock Turnover Pistol?" Selene asks.

"Yes... I didn't know you had a thing for weapons"

"Mostly swords and daggers but I know somethings about your family history"

"Alright. Let's go see the paranoid yakuza boss who wants to put another gun in his collection" Isaac states.

"If you say it like that, it sounds like we're all gonna die" Selene points out.

Allison and Isaac are in a different room while Selene and Chris get all the weapons ready.

"I can feel your stare at the back of my head. What's wrong?" Selene asks not looking up from the table of weapons.

"Katashi might not do the buy in-person"

"Obviously. If I was him, I wouldn't either. If he won't then Isaac and I will distract the henchmen while you and Allison take out the rest of the security"

"I was thinking the same"

"Good, get ready"

Talking on the phone as he walks through the Sheriff's Station, Agent McCall says he's just a week or two away from a formal review of the evidence against Sheriff Stilinski. He says he has enough to make sure the Sheriff can't get hired at any level of government. When he opens his laptop, a security warning pops up – when Scott and Kira broke into his office to erase her phone they triggered some sort of automatic webcam leaving a snapshot of them on the screen.

Stiles is at the hospital. Mellisa explains that "Dr. Gardner isn't back until next week" then says Stiles can see one of the hospital's urgent care doctors.

Stiles panics. Seeing his distress, Melissa takes him to an exam room. He explains the anxiety and panic attacks, sleeplessness, sleepwalking (which he says he also suffered as a kid) and blackouts.

He says his Adderall isn't working and he is feeling irritable to the point of homicide with vivid dreams during the day. Melissa gives him Midazolam - a common drug used to relax patients before surgery. She says he is "profoundly sleep deprived." As he is dozing off, he calls Melissa "Mom."

Allison, Isaac, Chris and Selene are sitting in the car. Selene and Isaac in the back, Chris in the driver's seat and Allison in the passenger's seat. Chris' phone hums, signalling he has a text.

"What is it?" Allison asks.

"Katashi won't do the buy in-person" Chris explains and nods at Selene, who nods back.

"He's a paranoid recluse, shouldn't you be a little less surprised?" Isaac states.

"I was trying to remain optimistic we wouldn't have to go to plan my B"

"Plan B? And what is plan B?"

"How tall are you?" Chris asks while opening the trunk.

Wanting to ditch the twins in order to keep them out of harm's way, Scott steals spark plugs from their motorcycles. They are left behind as he rides off with Kira.

Both Isaac and Selene change into different clothes. Isaac changes into a black and white suit while Selene changes into a blue dress with black stripes.

"Guys, this- this isn't going to work. I-I look ridiculous. I mean... I-I look like I just stepped out of the-the last period of Catholic prep school. And there's no way, I'm going to remember all of this. And you guys aren't paying attention" Isaac rambles and then turns around to see what they're staring at. He sees Selene and his eyes become big.

"You don't have to. I will remember this. Now, let's get going" Selene says. She takes off a braclet and tosses it to Allison.

"Have you always been wearing this?" Allison asks.

"Yes, just like the necklace"

"Necklace?"

"I-I... it's not going to work" Isaac then changes the subject.

"You look great"

"I am sweating all the way through my jacket. I didn't even know, I could sweat this much" Selene signals Chris and Allison to go before turning to Isaac.

"You can do this. You're not a boy if you walk in there acting like a man. Go in there with confidence and all they'll see is a boy-ish looking man"

"Or a stupid teenager pretend-" Selene cuts Isaac off by pressing her lips to his.

"How do you feel now?"

The door slides open and reveals Selene and Isaac who walk in confidently.

"Gentlemen. I believe Mr Katashi is expecting us" Isaac says.

"I'm expecting you" A voice speaks up. The duo looks up and see a large man. His claws scrape against the metal as he walks down the stairs. Selene and Isaac share a look, the henchman is a werewolf and this could go horribly wrong.

At his house, Scott rushes around closing and locking all the windows. He explains that has installed a supernatural security system in the McCall house but that his mom has to arm it.

Kira has figured out that Scott thinks she might be the target of the Oni and that he brought her to his house to protect her.

At the hospital, Melissa takes Stiles chart and compares it to one from another patient who died in 2004. The symptoms, "Hallucinations, Impulsivity, Irritable, and Insomnia" as well as vivid daytime dreaming and an inability to distinguish dreams from reality match on both charts. The old chart belongs to Stiles' mother, Claudia Stilinski.

Allison and Chris systematically take out all of Silverfinger's men.

"What we're looking at here is a mint-condition French Flintlock Turnover Pistol, crafted in the mid-17 century. It was a gift from Louis XIV (the fourteenth) to a prominent French family. It's only been fired once-" Selene explains.

"During a duel between brothers on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles" the henchman interrupts her.

"So you're familiar with it?" Isaac asks, starting to become nervous again.

"Mr Katashi knows what he wants. We'll take it" he opens the case revealing "$150 thousand"

"We're gonna need to count it" Isaac explains.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah"

Isaac brings out an automatic counting machine.

Kira sits on Scott's bed and she explains a bit about the myth. She pulls out a children's book called "Japanese Mythology: Creatures, Spirits and Demons" and shows him pictures of the fox.

Scott draws a parallel between a picture of a multi-tailed fox surrounded by lightning and Kira's handling of the electricity at the substation. Kira says it's called "foxfire" and that kitsune can produce it by rubbing their tails together. She's quick to add that she has no tails. Scott is amazed that she knew what he was thinking – she jokes that kitsune can also read minds (not true).

They realize the sun is setting and Kira says she needs to be home before dinner. Scott says she should tell her parents that she can't make it because she's going on a date. She then questions if a relationship is a good idea since "foxes and wolves don't get along." She shows him a picture of the kitsune surrouned by wolves. Scott brushes it aside saying it's just a drawing in a children's book.

He hears a car pull up outside and thinks it is his mom. Kira and Scott go into the kitchen but it is Agent McCall who greets them.

Scott is shocked, first asking what he's doing there and then wondering why he still has a key. His father turns it around on him saying that he still has a key to the house but he doesn't think Scott has a key to his office. He shows them the laptop webcam photo.

Isaac moves to grab some more of the money and the werewolf henchman stops him.

"You don't know the whole story behind this gun, do you? There was no duel between brothers-" the henchman starts

"That was the cover story. The real one involves an encounter in the woods with a vioucious animal. It's bite caused one of the man to change into something..." Selene cuts him off

"Monsterous. By the his family's code, the brother of this man killed him with this very gun" the henchman says coming closer and closer.

"Well, that is certainly better than the other version. I'm gonna trust you guys with the money and uh" Isaac says while starting the grab the stuff.

"Personly, I'd like to hear your story" He jerks Isaac's arm back and the younger man goes all fangs and glowing eyes at him. Selene gets grabbed by another man but she head bumps him and also glows her eyes. The henchman seems surpised at Selene being a werewolf, giving Isaac the chance to bang the guy's head against the metal table. Selene hears a gun click and turns around she grabs the wrist of the guy pointing a gun a her and twists it. She grabs the gun and turns around. She points the gun at the werewolf, who got up and now has his claws in Isaac throat.

"Drop the gun, or he dies"

"You really think you can kill him faster than I can shoot?"

Silverfinger is watching surveillance feeds from several parts of the warehouse complex. He sees the confrontation with Isaac and Selene then swipes the screen and sees Allison and then Chris take out his guards. Silverfinger pulls a gun as Chris enters.

"All we wanna do is talk" Chris explains, pointing his own gun.

"Taking out my security is not what I call a good conversaion starter"

"You don't remember me, do you? Allison, take he man's gun" Chris orders and Allison does so with a silvercoloured whip that looks like Selene's bracelet. "Now, can we talk?" Selene, the henchman and Isaac enter the room.

"We're not here to fight, we're here for information" Selene explains.

Agent McCall is demanding an answer but Scott is belligerent (also trying to protect him) telling him to leave and come back with a warrant. When McCall tries to be "tough dad," Scott calls him a "gene donor" saying he got his hair colour from the man but nothing else. Melissa arrives just as the sun sets.

A Demon Warrior appears in the living room. Agent McCall approaches it and is promptly stabbed through the left shoulder. Melissa pulls him to a secluded corner as Derek bursts in and starts fighting the Oni. The twins bust through a window together. The werewolves manage to eject the warriors from the house and Melissa drops a jar of across the threshold. It forms a perfect line which completes the security barrier Deaton established at the house. The Demons cannot get past.

Kira reaches up and touches the screen door. It repels her hand with a flash of light indicating that she too is supernatural.

After reminding Silverfinger of their meeting 24 years prior, the old man explains that the warriors

"You know what they are don't you?" Chris asks as Katashi stares at the mask.

"They're called Oni. They are demons. And they are unstoppable" Katashi answers.

At the McCall house, Derek is impressed with the security pointing out that all the baseboards must be ash wood. He then admits that he's been following Scott all day. Melissa says her ex-husband's wound is bad. He mumbles something about calling for backup as she is applying pressure. She says that by the way his arm is rotated, the tendon looks torn and that could lead to a collapsed lung. Melissa says, demons or no demons, he is bleeding out and needs a hospital.

"Nothing. At least no man-made weapon. The Oni are a force of nature. You don't fight a tsunami. You endure it. You hope you are not destroyed in its path" Katashi explains.

"The kanji" Selene realises and Katashi nods.

"It means you are still yourself. The Oni are looking for someone who is no longer themselves"

"Possessed" Selene says and once again Katashi nods.

"By a dark spirit" Katashi says and Selene snorts.

"Yeah, no by a cupcake"

Aiden aggressively questions Kira about her supernatural nature. He forces her hand against the screen to show that she too cannot cross the mountain ash barrier. Derek steps in and says it's obvious that she is a Kitsune. He explains that the young ones have an aura that they haven't learned to conceal yet. Derek says she probably doesn't know what kind of kitsune she is either.

"There are 13 kinds of kitsune. Celestial, Wild, Ocean, and Thunder but there is one... a dark Kitsune"

"Nogitsune" Selene says.

"The kumicho" Chris realises.

"That's right, he was possesed by a nogitsune. It's what helped him rise through the ranks of our yakuza family. Nogitsune draws its power from pain and tragedy, strife and chaos"

Scott is convinced that Kira is not the target of the Oni. She is not so sure saying that the kitsune is a trickster spirit and could be tricking him. Scott says he's seen the bad guys and Kira is not one of them.

Aiden tries to explain that he wasn't going to hurt Kira when he forced her to touch the barrier. Aiden says they are there to protect Scott. Ethan adds that they are there to fight for him and they would for Selene. Derek is unimpressed saying that while he is sure the twins would kill for the True Alpha's, he's not sure they would die for them.

"Do you know why I'm missing a finger?" Katashi asks.

"Penance" Chris answers.

"There's a ritual called yubitsume" Katashi explains.
