《Blood and Ink》The Last Reel: Part 1

"La da da da da da..."

Henry and Bendy's eyes slowly opened as they heard her singing. Bendy walked over to the boarded up entrance and Henry followed suit.

"La da da da da da..."

"I know that song," Henry started.

"Everyone knows that song," the lady said, "who are you? Why are you here?"

"I was invited by an old friend, and now I can't leave," Henry answered.

"Then you know more than we do," she replied, "one moment, we don't even exist. Just... Thoughts... And the next minute, this place."

"Are you gonna let us out of here?" Henry asked.

"Down here, strangers aren't good things," she replied.

She's not wrong, Bendy said to himself.

"How can we trust you? We don't even know who you are."

"My name is Henry," he said, "I used to work here."

Bendy didn't say anything.

"I... I honestly don't know my name, so they call me Alice, but I'm no angel," Alice said, "you go back and rest. We'll talk again later."

Henry looked at Bendy and nodded before he layed down and feel asleep. Bendy looked at Alice before taking a deep breath.

"Alice..." Bendy muttered, but it was enough for her to hear.

"Yeah?" Alice replied.

"Do you know who I am?" Bendy asked her.

Alice just shook her head.

Bendy's little smile disappeared. Of course she wouldn't know him. If the other Alice didn't-

Ah, shut up Bendy, he said to himself, c'mon, ask her something else besides that, ya stupid.

"Do you want to talk?" He asked.

You dumbass! He yelled to himself.

"What?" She asked.

"Y'know, just... Talk," he answered.

"I... Okay," She stopped what she was doing, walked over, and leaned on the boards between the two of them, "so... What do you want to talk about?"

Bendy thought for a moment. He then came up with something.

"What do you do?" He asked, "y'know, besides singing."

"Well... Um..." Alice thought about it for a bit as well, "I don't have much to do really, except stay away from the Ink Demon, that is."

"I never liked that name," Bendy pointed out, "that name, The Ink Demon. I never liked it"

Alice chuckled a bit, "well, that's not your fault, even if you're another one of him."

"I'm not that other Bendy, y'know," Bendy said, "he's just as lonely as I am. Well..." He looked to Henry, "as lonely as I WAS."

"You seem to really like him. How come?" Alice asked.

"He's kinda my dad," Bendy answered.

"Your "dad"?" She asked again.

"Um, yeah."

She nodded, then continued, "by the way, does it hurt much?"

Bendy then became puzzled, "what?"

"Your eye," she said, "we saw it before we put you in there. It seemed pretty bad."

Bendy felt the area where his eye was ripped out. An X-shaped stitch covered his eye.

"So, even though it's a bit clumsy, we stitched it up for you. I hope you don't mind."

"I don't mind," Bendy said in a melancholy tone, "anything else you want to talk about?"

"No. You should go to sleep now, okay?"

"Alright."

But before he went to his separate hammock, he turned around.

"Alice?"

Alice turned to look at him.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you. For helping us out back there. It means a lot to me."

"You're welcome."

He could've sworn she smiled at him.

"It's only for a few hours. No need to worry. I won't go far..."

Henry woke up again to see Alice talking to Boris, so he guessed by what she was saying was that she'd be out for a bit. He looked to his side and Bendy was asleep. He decided to keep listening.

"Only up to level 6. Just stay here. Keep an eye on Henry, okay? I'll be back as soon as I can. I promise," and like that, she left the room.

Boris then had a firm hold of the axe in his hands.

After a while

Henry and Boris were just looking at each other. Boris glared at Henry, Henry stared back. Eventually he got tired and decided to go back to sleep.

Henry was relaxing, drawing his cartoons and Bendy happily joined, using his index finger as a pen.

"Henry?"

Henry got up, Bendy following suit.

"Here. You must be hungry," she said, offering a bowl of bacon soup, "sorry. it's all we have."

"It's okay. Thanks Alice," Bendy said.

As Alice walked away, Bendy was about to grab the bowl before Boris slammed his hand in front of it. Once Alice walked away, Boris looked at Bendy and threw the bowl on the ground, pointing at Bendy and clenching his fist. He walked away in an angry manner and slammed the door.

"What's his problem?" Henry asked.

"Hell if I know," Bendy replied.

The two shrugged it off and went back to what they were doing before.

Bendy got up again and walked over to where he saw Alice writing on the wall.

"I know you're watching me," she said, "it's just... A little creepy."

"You're the one who writes on the walls," Henry asked as he walked over to see what they were talking about.

"We all do," she replied, "for some poor souls down here, it's the only way they can be heard. But you don't want to touch the ink for too long. It can claim you... Pull you back. That's how I met Tom. I was messing with things I shouldn't have and he... He was there."

"Why do you call him "Tom"?" Bendy asked.

"He just seems to respond to it," she answered.

"Heh, well he sure as hell don't like me."

"Let me show you something," the two stayed quiet, waiting to hear what she was going to say, "awhile back, I was mapping out one of the upper levels... When I noticed something reflecting off a piece of glass," she said as she pulled out a strange contraption of sorts, "I picked up the glass, looked through, and on the wall behind me was a hidden message! Right there in plain sight!" Bendy and Henry continued to listen, as it was beginning to get even more interesting, "so I kept looking... and found more and more messages everywhere in the studio! But you can't see them with your eyes, only through this. Take a look!" Alice handed them the looking glass. As they picked it up, they saw something written on the wall.

"I don't know who's leaving them, but I think they know how to get out of here."

"Where does it all lead to?" Henry asked.

"Nowhere," she answered, "I've been following them for a long time... Just leads me in circles."

Henry put away the tool.

"I don't think I'm meant to leave this place Henry. But maybe... You are."

"Alice, you've gotta let me and Henry out of here," Bendy said to her.

"Tom thinks you're dangerous," she replied.

"And what do you think?" Henry asked.

"I think... You're the hope I've been waiting for," she answered, "go to sleep. Maybe tomorrow will be better."

Henry and Bendy went back to sleep, but not before they both had the same thought.

Hope?

"That was really stupid Tom."

Henry was listening in on Alice and Tom. Bendy fell asleep before Tom came back so it was just him right now.

"You shouldn't have gone out there. Now that he's seen you, it's only a matter of time before he finds us here."

Henry's heartbeat began to slowly speed up. What she said. It reminded him of what he saw.

Later

A loud thud woke the two up. Henry practically jumped off his bed and got over to the boards. Bendy followed suit.

"We can't just leave them! Not with the Ink Demon outside the door!" Alice exclaimed.

"What's happening?" Bendy asked.

"He's coming," Alice said, "we have to move on."

Another thud came from the other room.

"Tom, we have to let them out!" She said before attempting to open the boards. Tom put a hand on her shoulder and shook his head.

"I'm sorry," and with that, she ran out the door.

"Alice!" Bendy yelled.

Tom looked at the two before he followed.

It was just like the writing said. The two were left for dead. Bendy looked at his hands. He remembered Alice saying that the two were her hope. Out of nowhere, a surge of determination flowed through him.

"We're not staying here," Bendy said in a lower tone than usual.

He made his hand huge again and bashed the boards open, tearing up his glove. He ripped it off and tossed it on the ground.

"Let's get out of he-" he looked back to see Henry using that thing Alice gave them. Henry soon opened a room and got a gent pipe.

"Okay, now let's get going," Henry said.

The two walked out the door and walked down a large hallway, Bendy was taking the lead on this one, as if he's been there before. A searcher or two appeared, but Bendy got rid of them quickly.

"Bendy, where are we going?" Henry asked.

Bendy didn't say anything until they reached a room with a barge.

"You ready?" Bendy asked.

Henry nodded as Bendy pulled the lever, sliding the barge into the ink river. The two began slowly moving on as Bendy took charge of moving it. Bendy took a deep breath before he spoke.

"Dad?" He asked.

"Yeah Bendy?"

"I've been here before. I know what we need to get rid the other Bendy."

"What is it?"

"It's a film reel, a very special one. We have to go inside the Ink Machine and get it. Once we do, we've got to play it. And if it works, it'll get rid of the other Bendy."

"Inside it?"

"The one we saw, it wasn't the real one. It was the one that me and other Bendy came from. The real one's here."

"That doesn't seem so bad."

Bendy stayed quiet for a few seconds, trying to decide what exactly he should say, but he couldn't sugarcoat it.

"Dad, look I-"

Bendy was cut off as they stopped suddenly.

"Sounds like something's stuck in the paddle wheel."

"I got it."

Bendy checked and it was just some ink. He absorbed it quickly.

"Alright let's get..."

Bendy stopped when he saw Henry with a pale expression. He followed Henry's eyes and saw the reason why. A giant hand sprouted out of the ink river and drowned another barge.

"Henry, go! Start up the barge! Now!"

Henry did just as he was told and got the barge moving. They did it just in time too, as the hand tried to sink them both, but they were already too far away from its reach. Then it happened again, so Bendy repeated the process. Wash, rinse, repeat. After a bit, they assumed the hand stopped since it wasn't attacking them anymore. They then showed up at a village of sorts. There were several houses in front of them. They got off and walked on the boards which provided as a bridge, although the last one broke. There was no turning back.

"What is this?" Henry asked. The place was quiet, almost too quiet.

"This place was made by the searchers and the lost ones. I've barely been here though," Bendy answered, "it should be through here, though. I just don't remember where."

Henry looked in front of him, "maybe it's through there?" He pointed at an entrance that was boarded up.

"I think it was?" Bendy said.

When the two walked over to the entrance, out of nowhere the boards were slashed apart. They backed away as fast as they could.

""

The two looked to see a familiar face.

"Sammy?!"
