Aria walks around Ninjago city alone, making her way towards the familiar mountain where the monastery of spinjitzu was. She walks up the steps and through the giant gates to see on the wall their was paintings of the Ninja's past accomplishments.

"Well that's new" Aria says before walking up to the door and opening it "Wu, I'm here!"

"Aria, what are you doing here?"

Aria turns to see Kai carrying a box.

"Your sensei asked me to come" Aria replies "what's with the city, a bunch of places are being rebuilt.. again"

"Right you weren't here for the recent attack" Kai says "we had a run in with the Oni"

"Their were Oni here?" Aria asks surprised "why didn't anyone tell me?"

"So you didn't try to help them" Kai replies walking down the hall

Aria follows after him "you don't seem very concerned about the Dark Lord casually coming into your house"

"If you were here to kill me I think you would've done it already" Kai tells her "everyone else is out helping to rebuild the city, me and Sensei Wu are the only ones here"

"And why did you stay behind?" Aria asks

"Sensei told me to" Kai replies and knocks on Wu's door "Sensei, Lord Aria's here"

"Come in, both of you"

The two walk into the room and Kai places down the box.

"Wu you know I'm very busy" Aria says "what is it?"

"I have noticed your Vampire Knights around the city lately" Wu speaks "why is that?"

"uh.." Aria looks away "no reason, they're just surveying the area, making sure my citizens are on their best behavior when visiting"

"The ninja are more then capable of protecting the people" Wu says

"Why do you insist on poking your nose in my business" Aria crosses her arms

"Because for all we know you could be planning a hostile takeover" Kai glares at her

"hmph" Aria puts her hand on her hip "and if I was I certainly wouldn't tell you"

"Aria" Wu speaks "Their is no known text of the final battle between you and Lloyd, I'd like to prevent it if I could"

"I'm not planning a hostile takeover!" Aria shouts facing him "It's a carefully planned, all the pieces set in place.. take..over"

"Ha we knew it!" Kai points at her "you're planning to take over Ninjago"

"I don't have to take what's already mine" Aria says smugly pulling out a piece of paper "behold the peace treaty which was forged and signed by the previous Emperor and Empress before their demise"

"Let me see that!" Kai takes it and begins to read it

"hmph" Aria smirks as Kai's eyes widen

"What does it say?" Wu asks

"In the wake of the inevitable death of the Emperor and Empress, if the princess is not of age to takeover, Lord Aria of the Shadowlands, will be acting Regnant and rule over Ninjago in the princess's place and forever hold the tittle of honorary Regnant" Kai reads "...what's a Regnant"

"A Regnant is someone with the equivalent power of a King or Queen that can rule if the matter calls for them to" Wu explains "with the Emperor, Empress, and Princess Harumi dead.. Aria is the only one left to take the throne.. rightfully the throne is hers so long as the council is in a majority vote for it"

"A-And their's nothing we can do about it?" Kai asks concerned

"Not a thing" Wu says "No matter how many people might object, if the Council swears her in, Aria has the power and right to enforce her rule"

Aria takes the paper back from Kai "see, not a hostile takeover.. a normal one"

"...everything went as you planned" Kai says in shock "the Sons of Garmadon helped kill the Emperor and Empress.. then all that had to happen was for Harumi to die.. and in the attack of the city she did"

"hm" Aria hums "I suppose.." she smirks "but nobody knows how she actually died.. it's still a mystery"

"Aria.." Wu looks at her "If you're rightfully voted in, I will not intervene your rule, but if it disrupts the natural balance and harms the people, then we will stop you"

"Oh relax" Aria rolls her eyes "I'm a fair ruler.. probably, now I have to be going, I have a coronation to prepare for"

Aria walks out of the room and the two sit there still surprised.

"The Dark Lord is going to rule Ninjago" Kai says in shock "what are we going to tell the others?"

"As ninja you all will still uphold your duties and protect the city" Wu says "no matter what happens"

On the day of Aria's coronation, all 6 Ninja were there as part of the force assigned to protect Aria, not that she needed it. They were requested to help by Kaname, the leader of the Vampire Knights. Lloyd stood at the end closest to Aria, he watched her closely. Finally Aria was rightfully sworn in and crowned, their was nothing they could do about it now.
