"To the Resistance! May it never quit!" Karlof shouts
"The Resistance never quits!" The others repeat except for Aria who is typing away on a computer on her bed
Dareth sighs "Boy. Must've been awesome to be there. I wish I could've—"
"it was great! We couldn't have planned it better!" Nya says excitedly
"I'll toast to that!" Paleman shouts
Skylor smiles "But hats off to Lloyd. Without his words, and his leadership, let's just say hope is a powerful thing"
"This is just the start. I couldn't have done it without your power and your help. We have to show we're more than words. Now we fight. And I'm not gonna lie to you. We need an army. Has anyone heard from the Master of Form?" Lloyd asks
"I think, uh, how do you say...She is "bad girl" now" Karlof tells him
"What about Bolobo?" Nya asks
"Ultra Violet hunted down the Master of Nature early on" Skylor replies
Dareth smiles "Ah! Maybe it's time the Brown Ninja—"
"What about the Serpentine?" Lloyd asks
"After seeing how the Time Twins abused those snakes, they say they wanna sit this one out" Griffin replies
"Okay. Let's start brainstorming a list on who else can help" Lloyd instructs
"I can help" Dareth says
Lloyd looks at him "That would be great. Can you get us a blackboard and some refills? This could take some time"
Dareth sighed "Yeah, okay, right, sure. I'll get over—Yeah. Sure, office supplies."

Later on Lloyd walks over to Aria "where'd you get the computer from?"
"I'm an evil Lord and you're asking me where I got a computer from?" Aria questions
"...good point" Lloyd says "what are you doing?"
"None of your business" Aria closes the laptop "what do you want?"
"Some help would be nice" Lloyd replies
"Why should I help?" Aria asks "I'm helping by not siding with Garmadon"
"Aria" Lloyd takes her hand "You know you'll still be my Aria, even if i have to pick you up from jail a million more times you're still my girl and no amount of evil deeds will change who I know you are"
"...and who am I Lloyd?" Aria asks
"You're Aria" Lloyd replies before walking away
Aria looks at her laptop "..what's that supposed to mean?"

The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known.
