I love how currently Lloyd's like dying.. but Aria and the Overlord are just over here reliving the past XD

"Aria!"

"Aria honey wave up!"

Aria opens her eyes to see herself in her bedroom at the castle. Around her was Layla, Hanabusa, Wu, and Garmadon.

"Mommy, Sensei Garmadon, Sensei Wu" Aria sits up in bed "their was a giant snake and it-"

"We know" Garmadon lays her back down "don't worry everything is fine"

"The Serpentine war is over honey" Layla kisses her forehead "all the bad snakes are sealed away"

"Where they hopefully will remain" Wu adds "and you are safe"

"Was I kidnapped?" Aria asks

"Yes sweetie but don't worry, mommy beat those mean snakes up for you" Layla hugs her

"Layla be careful you're gonna squish her" Wu warns

"Take it easy" Garmadon says

Layla pouts "nooooo I wanna hug my baby"

"Mommyyyyy" Aria whines

The two brothers laugh, they were glad their pupil was safe.

8 year old Aria sat in her throne eating a lollypop and reading a book as her father Svern attended to people's hearings.

"But Overlord" the werewolf pleaded "if something isn't done about the dam soon it could burst and flood the village"

"I'm sorry" Svern sighs "their's not much we can do about that old dam, we don't have the resources to repair it, Ninjago might have the supplies but we cannot cross the barrier, we're banished to the shadowlands"

"Then don't fix it" Aria speaks from her throne

"but Princess" the werewolf looks at her sadly

Aria takes her lollypop out of her mouth "dig a large trench and destroy the dam, make it a giant lake or something"

"..."

Aria looks over at the two who were staring at her.

"What?" Aria questions

Svern smiles and looks at the werewolf "Well you heard your princess, dig a lake"

"Yes thank you" the werewolf bows to them before running off

"Good job Aria" Svern hugs her "you're such a good girl, that's my successor for the world"

"ahhh dadddd" Aria whines

"I'm so proud of you" Svern gushes

"Come on dad, what happened to the great and powerful Overlord" Aria complains "when did he become a doting father?!"

"When he had an adorable little daughter instead of a son" Svern replies before sitting back on his throne

Layla walks into the throne room with two unidentifiable items "I got them"

"You did" Svern gets up and walks over to her "wow, they look amazing"

Aria curiously puts down her book and walks over.

"What are those mamma?" Aria asks

"These are called the Time Blades" Layla smiles "you know the sanctuary we have in the basement?" Aria nods and Layla continues "well me and your father have been rebuilding a special weapon from the great battle your father had with the first spinjitzu master. This weapon is called the Sanctuary of Resurrection, it'll allow us to reincarnate or come back to life"

Aria gasps "is that really something we can do?"

"Well as long as we have all the time pieces of course we can" Layla tells her "and we have 3/5 now, we just need 2 more"

"this is so exciting" Aria squeals

(and in an alternate timeline the events of the Hands of Time happened where future Aria went back in time with Kai and Nya and you know what happened, the Overlord however remembers the original version where Aria stayed home with him, he was unaware that any Aria was even at the battle with Layla)

Layla and Aria(still 8) arrive at the monastery where a young boy was with Wu, he looked to be about Aria's age.

"Sensei Wu!" Aria waves to him

"Ah Aria welcome" Wu greets cheerfully before looking at Layla a bit dull "..Layla"

"Hello Wu" Layla greets equally dull

"hm?" Aria looks between them confused

"Be good for your sensei's Aria" Layla pats her head "I'll see you in a week"

"Bye mama" Aria waves and runs to put her stuff in her room

"I will disregard you stealing the time blades for now since you helped protect time" Wu says "but in the future if you use them for evil, we will stop you"

"hmph" Layla turns away "just do your job and watch over my daughter"

"I watch over Aria because I worry about her" Wu tells her "I want to train her to be a proper Dark Lord and not one consumed by darkness"

"...I just want her to be happy" Layla says "and free from worry, because I'm her mother I'll take the risks necessary so she doesn't have to"

"Layla.." Wu says

"You should watch Garmadon closely" Layla starts to walk away "it's only a matter of time before he's completely consumed by darkness" she laughs a bit "you're starting to get old my friend"

"And you look like you haven't aged a day" Wu chuckles lightly

Layla leaves the monastery and Wu sighs.

"Sensei I've unpacked" Aria returns outside

"Good" Wu walks over and stands beside the boy "Aria this is Morro, he's going to be a student from mine from now on"

"Hi" the boy holds his hand out to her "it's nice to meet you princess"

"H-Hello" Aria shyly shakes his hand

"My brother Garmadon is out on his honeymoon with Misako so I will be taking over your elemental training for now" Wu tells her

"But didn't they get married last week Sensei?" Aria asks "why are they still gone?"

"A honeymoon is a break for the newlywedded couple to be together" Wu explains "you'll understand when you're older, for now we train"

"Yes Sensei" Aria and Morro agree

A year passed.

"-and sensei thinks i might be the green ninja" Morro finishes explaining what Aria missed the week she was gone

"wow, that's so cool. I wish I was as strong as you" Aria says

"You're only 8 Aria, you're the daughter of the Overlord and Princess Layla of the Oni, you're a princess. That's much more amazing then me, you're going to be so powerful" Morro praises her

"I guess so" Aria shrugs looking kinda sad

"hey don't worry, I'll be with you" Morro hugs her

Aria smiles "you're the best Morro"

"You know kiddo, when we're older i'm sure you'll be quite the looker" Morro looks annoyed "I'll have to keep all those boys away from my little sister"

Aria giggles

"Sensei said he's going to bring the golden weapons together to see if they react" Morro tells her "and when they do.. it's going to change our lives forever"

The next day, the Golden Weapons didn't react to Morro, he was not the green ninja. He angrily walked out of the room and paced in front of Aria.

"All of this training for what! Nothing!" Morro shouts

"B-but Morro you're still the master of wind" Aria says

"I don't want to be just the master of wind! I want more!" Morro argues

"Morro you're really strong, their's nothing wrong with your element" Aria sys with tears in her eyes

"Aria come with me, Wu isn't going to teach you anything, I'll help you and we'll become powerful together" Morro picks up his bag

"Morro.. I can't" Aria cried running out of the room "Sensei!"

Wu held Aria in his arms as the two watched Morro leave the Monastery.

"Sensei will he come back" Aria asks sadly

"I don't know" Wu replies sadly "Let's get you in bed little one"

Morro never did return to the Monastery. Months passed and Aria suddenly became ill, she stopped going for weekly training. Wu and Garmadon came to visit her in the Shadowlands one day, Garmadon's eyes had become red.

"Hey kiddo how are you feeling?" Garmadon asks as the two walk into the room

Aria looks up at them, she was as pale as a ghost.

"Sensei Garmadon.. Sensei Wu" Aria greets softly

"She really doesn't look good" Wu says to Layla

"We don't know what's wrong" Layla looks down "I don't know what to do, she just throws up everything she eats or drinks and she can't even stand anymore"

Garmadon puts his hand on Aria's forehead "...She's poisoned!"

"What?!" Layla runs over "what do you mean she's poisoned?"

"It's too late to do anything about it.." Garmadon looks down "whoever did this wanted to make sure they'd succeed in killing her"

Layla cried as they all gathered around Aria talking to her and trying to keep her happy. Eventually though, Aria died.

"The Sanctuary won't work without the other time weapons" Layla sobbed "

Overlord carried Aria's body down to the Sanctuary, he sat in front of her body and sighed.

"You know when you were born.. I was a bit upset that I didn't have a son for my successor" Svern says "but now.. I don't want any other successor.. but you"

"My old friend, it is a shame to see such a thing happen"

The Overlord's eyes widen at the voice of the First Spinjitzu master, his old friend before they became enemies.

"Don't worry.. I shall do one last thing before my power passes into my successor"

Aria's body glows gold.

"Your daughter shall reincarnate into the same person, if all goes to plan, she will be born at the same time as my successor. I leave you with this final gift my friend.. take care of yourself"

Aria's body dissolves into gold particles that disappear.

Svern smiles lightly "thank you.. Ferrod"

Years later, Lloyd is born to Misako and Garmadon while simultaneously Aria is born to Layla and the Overlord.
