You let out another giggle as you let out another swish with your new wand. Sparks shot out and flew to the air before it bursts, sprinkling small little lights. You muttered something under your breath and made a small wave, the sparkles changed into floating little lights, you call them fireflies. You know there's a name for them--your parents like to remind you--but they really do remind you of fireflies. You sat down on the rooftop and just watch as the little lights float around you.
You tensed up when you heard a yelp from the side of the building before you quickly made the lights disappear. You stood up, clutching your wand tightly between you small fingers, and cautiously walked to the edge where you heard the sound.
"Hello?" You called out, waiting for a response. You heard shuffling. "I-it's ok, I'm not going to hurt you."
You reached the ledge and looked down. Whoever it was, they were hiding in the shadows, pressed against the wall and making the fire escape rattle as they shuffled slightly to adjust their position. You furrowed your eyebrows, leaning over the edge, hoping to see them.
"You don't have to be scared, you can come out." It was quiet but you can tell they wanted to but something was stopping them. "I promise I won't be afraid if you aren't."
It took a bit more coaxing but you realized the person was a boy when he spoke, telling you-you weren't going to like what you see. After a while, he started to walk out of the shadow and under the moonlight. Your eyes widened in awe, you've never seen mutants this up close. Your parents actually visit the hidden city but you were never allowed so seeing a mutant turtle was amazing to you. You introduced yourself and he in return did too.
"Mikey, I like it! Wanna see some tricks?" You asked eagerly while pulling on his arm to the middle of the roof. He enthusiastically agreed.
Over time, you learned and studied to be the best witch you could be. Mikey and you grew to be fast friends and it didn't take a while for him to introduce you to his family. Well, his older brother, Raph, had dragged his brothers to follow him so the meeting was a bit accidental. The turtles became your friends but Mikey will always be your best friend.

He encouraged and supported you when you struggled with your abilities and always knew when to cheer you up. Sometimes you even teach him a few simple potions that he can use. You always came to him first when you learned something new and when something is bothering you. He never judged you and always tried to help in any way he could, even if it almost seemed harsh but you know you needed the hard truth. You teach him what you know, while he teaches you what he knows.
The turtles, April, and even Splinter could see your bond growing strong as three years passed. They've seen how much you care for each other and you both complemented each other. You both help each other and remained to be friends through thick and thin.
But sometimes, life could get in the way.
When you both turned thirteen and when problems began arising that Mikey needed to help with, there was barely any time to hang out. Your training was getting longer and harder and with the addition of school, you barely see each other. You both tried to keep in touch but your bond just seemed to fade away. You guys barely noticed.
Now, you both just felt like strangers. You still visit the lair occasionally but it's a rare occurrence. You and Mikey didn't even realize just how much was changing. The other brothers tried to keep you in touch and sometimes asks you to join patrol with them but they knew this was something you both needed to work out yourself.
...
You let out a huff as you hop away from another slam of Meat Sweats' hammer. Your shoes scraped the ground, slowing you down to a stop. You raised your wand only to realize it was snapped in two with the top piece falling off. Groaning, you ran away from the large mutant's attacks while tossing away the useless piece of stick.
You were in a far away distance to watch as Mikey throw his weapon and it wrapped around Meat Sweats' leg, he tripped and landed in a thump. It still amazes you with what the turtles can do with their weapons but at the same time, you weren't too surprised when you had found out. Being a witch meant that you could sense magic from any being. You were naturally sensitive to magic and you were trained early to detect it.

You watch Mikey spin his weapon, flames lighting up, and swing it to make contact with the mutant. He did it multiple times while the large pig dodged most and eventually struck him to the side. He let out a yell and landed beside you with his arms propped up and his weapon left on the ground beside him.
"Mikey!" You kneeled down to check on your friend but glancing up, you realized the chef was coming at your direction, intending to strike him. Your eyes widened and stood up quickly, placing yourself between Meatsweats and Mikey. With a shout, you thrust your hands in front of you. Large roots came out of the ground and quickly moved past you and wrapping around the mutant pig's figure. You closed your hands, making the plants tighten there hold around him.
"You mess with Mikey, you mess with me!" You yelled out with the most ferocious look on your face and then throwing Meatsweats somewhere else in the forest. You let out a huff and collapse to the ground with a thump. You closed your eyes and just listened to the sound of the birds starting to tweet in the distance and the sounds of Mikey shuffling towards you. You felt him lift your head up and place it on his lap. You opened your eyes and made eye contact with him, who had a worried look on his face.
"Are you okay?" He asked while wiping off the sweat on your face.
"Yeah, that just took a lot out of me." You answered with a tired smile. He returned your smile and started to comb your hair, letting the silence come between you two. You closed your eyes again and let out a sigh of content while you adjust your position so you both were comfortable.
"You know," You kept your eyes closed and only let out a hum of acknowledgment. "We don't really hang out anymore."
"Doesn't this count as a hangout?" You responded, opening one eye to look at him. He scoffed at you with a smile growing on his face.
"This doesn't count. Not really. I mean it feels like we're..." He tried to look for a word to describe you both but you decided to help him.
"Strangers?"
"Yeah, strangers. I don't even know if you still like the same things anymore and I want my best friend back. I miss you." You smiled at that and sat up to face him.
"I missed you too, Mikey. I want my best friend back too." He smiled at that. "If you want, we can consider this as a hangout and get to know each other again. How long has it been since we last hung out?"
"I don't know, maybe a few days after we met Baron Draxum?"
"I guess so." It was silent for a minute before your face lit up. "We can have a picnic out here with your famous food and talk."
He agreed and you both quickly went to the lair, talking along the way. You went to get the picnic basket and blanket while Mikey went to grabbed a few supplies for food. You greeted his brothers but before you could explain anything, Mikey had already dragged you out of the lair after packing all the food in the basket.
You both became inseparable once again and did things together. While you both were still busy with other things, one of you always calls each other or text to know what is going on. Mikey's brothers even noticed your bond being rekindled and they were more than happy to know and when April found out, she was also happy. They all know how strong your friendship was and seeing you both with that same bond resurfaced, they knew Mikey has found a true friend.
Although, they noticed something new. They noticed the longing and loving looks you give each other. The affection you both displayed was different. They even noticed the subtle and obvious flirting going on between you two. The bond the two had was different now, it wasn't just friends anymore. And honestly, they ship you two and will find a way to get you two together.
They're doing it again
Are we talking about flirting or cuddling?
It's both
Can't they do this somewhere else?! It sickens me.
Why are you watching them in the first place?
Shut up, your point is invalid.
We need to get those two together
Seriously, I can't take it anymore. We need to do something
April, come over. We need to start planning
Already on my way. See ya guys in a bit!

Data Dragon Danika
After a great deal of preparation, Danika begins her new digital dragon's life in a very small way. They say the "Living Jade Empire" creates individualized quests. They say it can read your mind. They say you can find your heart's desire. They say that there's never been a game like it, and they're right but… they're also wrong. The game is a data mine, built to retell the old tales that humans have been telling each other since language was invented. It doesn't read your mind, but it reads your search history, your favorites, and your blogs. The "Living Jade Empire" is literally crafted from fables, legends, fantasies, and maybe just a bit of stardust. But in the end, will the game be able to figure out what Danika wants most? Will the desires of other players take priority? Or, will playing it change her, until she desires what it can give her? A journey is always made up of many small steps, and this game has still only just begun.

8 186Title Pending Adventures of Jackson and Barbara in another world!
Jackson Ripper is transported with his class to another world. As one would expect, they are asked to fight in a pending war, much to Jackson's distain. But, a month after arriving he is separated from the rest of his classmates and loses an arm and a leg. Worse yet, the person who mutilated him clings to his side. Now, he begins travelling with this walking natural disaster in a strange new world. Author notes: This is a story I started writing roughly two years ago (roughly 2017) on a whim and started using it to improve my writing skills. As such, it's mostly wish fulfillment based loosely on anime, light/web novels and comics. But wait, why post my strange, gruesome dream world on the internet? Because, I have a goal of one day writing something worth publishing. But to reach that goal, I need criticism, suggestion and advice. Plus it feels like a waste to keep this beauty all to myself. I currently plan to release one chapter a week, on Saturday afternoon or evening.
