《Fever》Bridge Over Troubled Water

"Okay, if we just cinch the sides in here," Candice says, tying a thin ribbon around your waist in order to tuck the sides of your dress in.

You watch in the mirror as your waist becomes more prominent in the pink dress Elvis had picked out for you, the once flowing material becoming tight against your torso. Your eyes widen at your figure.

"Wow, Candice you're fantastic!"

She stands up from behind he, tossing her dark hair behind her shoulder with a smile.

"I know, it's amazing what a little elbow grease and a sewing kit can do."

The bottom half of the dress is lined with jeweled tassels, taken from a dress you no longer wore but packed anyway. The hemline stops at mid thigh, pretty clear jewels cool against your skin as you twirl a little to inspect your figure.

You feel beautiful, breathtaking.

You just hope Elvis likes it as well.

"You think he'll be okay with the changes?" You ask Candice, suddenly apprehensive.

Candice fixes her make-up in the mirror.

"Girl, he'd be obsessed with you even if you showed up in a flour sack!" She moves to flip a piece of hair off of your forehead. "Don't stress!"

You take a deep breath, facing yourself in the mirror with a smile.

"You're right. I guess I'm just overthinking."

Candice hums in response, make-up brush in hand as she touches up her blush.

"You and I are most definitely the best looking girls in this place, you don't have anything to worry about."

Her confidence makes you giggle, a bit of it rubbing off on you.

Just then a knock sounds on the suite Doors- Jerry coming to collect the two of you for the show. Candice gives you a look, eyebrow raised as she shimmies her hips a little.

"Ready to see your man in action?"

You knock your shoulder against hers.

"Always."

You're sat towards the very front, watching Elvis in action. He seems so happy on stage, moving to the music and singing like he never has before.

It leaves you breathless, a feeling so strong you can't put it into words overtaking you. There's nothing else in the world but him at this moment.

The show is brilliant, of course, like it always is. Women and men alike scream and shout in excitement beside you, Jerry and Charlie Hodge standing behind you and Candice like silent guards to keep the crowd at bay. You would have noticed if they were there or not anyway.

In this moment, all you can see is Elvis.

Sweat drips down his face, the leather jumpsuit sparkling when the lights hit it just right. You press your thighs together as he kneels on the stage, belting out the lyrics to Burning Love with so much passion you feel swept away by it.

Candice cheers from beside you, and you shake yourself back into reality a little.

Jerry taps your shoulder as the sing cones to a close, audience cheering loudly as Elvis speaks to them.

"After this next one we'll get you two back stage, that way it'll be easier to get back to the hotel." Jerry shouts over the roar of the crowd, and you nod in acknowledgement.

"This next one goes out to a very special girl of mine, my girlfriend Y/N." Elvis announces to the crowd, who cheer and whistle for you.

You're a little startled when the spotlight lands on you, but you recover quickly and smile brightly.

Elvis blows you a kiss and you catch it, much to the crowds amusement.

The thought of him looking at any other woman the way he looks at you is non-existent, the love in his eyes clearly meant for you and you alone.

The beginning of Love Me Tender starts up, the audience cheering one more as Elvis begins the song.

It feels like he's looking directly at you, gaze intense as he croons out the tender lyrics.

You know he's probably blinded by the stage lights, but it's fun to pretend that all he can see is you in this moment.

Jerry grips your shoulder towards the end of the song, bending down to tell you it's time to head backstage. Candice grabs your hand, and the two of you follow him and Charlie through the backstage entrance.

You feel the jewels of your dress dance across your thighs, hips swaying as you make your way towards the now closing curtain. You know it'll be a rush of getting everyone into the car and back to the hotel, but right now all you can focus on is Elvis.

He's still center stage, wiping at the sweat that drips from his brow, and when the curtains finally close you're moving towards him, heels clacking against the linoleum.

Elvis turns to you, panting. His eyes widen when he gets a real good look at you, and you may or may not put an extra sway in your step as you hurry to him.

His arms open automatically.

"God, you're so sexy."

Those are the only words you can think to say to him, blurting them out without thinking.

Elvis let's out a startled laugh, pressing you close to him. His body is hot against yours, and you have to physically stop yourself from opening up that leather suit infront of everyone.

"Look whose talking!" He pulls you back a little to take in your outfit.

"You look. . ." Elvis trails off, eyes raking up your figure slowly.

You raise your eyebrows, sly smile on your face.

"You like it?"

Elvis swallows.

"What happened to the dress I bought you?"

You shrug playfully.

"Candice modified it a little, thought I'd surprise you for your first concert of the tour."

Elvis grins wide.

"Remind me to thank her."

You laugh, and Jerry is calling to the two of you to hurry out back to the car that's waiting to take you back to the hotel.

"The after-party is supposed to be held in one of the ballrooms tonight, you gonna dance with me pretty boy?" You tease Elvis, taking his hand in yours as the two of you are rushed to the car.

He swings your hands, all smiles.

"We can dance all night if you want to, darlin'."

You plan to make good on that promise.

Candice and Jerry follow close behind in another car, giving you and Elvis a moment of privacy before the after party. You watch with bitten lips as he slides his pal up your thigh, fingers twitching as they stop just before the hem of your dress.

"You were the best lookin' girl in that crowd tonight, Y/N." Elvis tells you. "Bet half the audience was watchin' you instead a me."

You roll your eyes, leaning into his side.

"I bet you say that to all the girls." You joke, and he swats your thigh. You squeak, giggling when he nuzzles his face into your neck.

"There ain't no other girl I wanna look at except you, angel." He mumbles, lips hot against your skin. You sigh, moving a hand into his hair. Elvis plants wet, sweet kisses under your ear, down your neck. You close your eyes, feeling his big hand slide up your dress.

You take a quick glance at the driver, whose luckily fiddling with the radio and barely paying the two of you any mind.

"You gonna be my good girl?" Elvis whispers, and you nod, biting your lip when his fingers dip into your panties.

You move one hand to grip his wrist, holding in a low whine as he moves one finger to circle your clit.

It's dangerous, crazy even, to do this so openly- in the back of a moving car, on your way to the hotel that's most likely crawling with reporters. All thoughts are cast aside, however, when Elvis slips a finger inside of you. You tilt your head back, looking at him with big eyes.

He watches your face, lips parted and eyes hooded. Without thinking you lean in to kiss him, slow and sensual as the car takes a sharp turn. This jostles you both, making you gasp lowly as he hits that spot inside you.

"Sorry about that, damn traffic." The driver says, snapping you both back to reality.

The lights of your hotel draw nearer, and you pout up at Elvis as he removes his fingers reluctantly.

"We have all night, doll." He reassures you, kissing your lips once as the car pulls up to the hotel.

You pull your dress down a little, fixing your hair in the rear-view mirror as the car comes to a stop. Your face is flushed, blush high on your cheeks and your eyes blown wide, but you don't really care all that much.

Elvis take your hand in his, pressing another kiss to your cheek. You smile, scrunching your eyes closed.

"Stay close to me, baby." His voice is low, and you squeeze his hand in yours.

"Always." You reply, and he breaks out into the brilliant grin of his that makes your stomach swoop pleasantly.

Flashing cameras, shouts of your names, all things you're slowly growing used to as the king of rock and roll holds you closely, drawing you further and further into his world.

The ballroom is all high ceilings and brilliant decorations, food and wine served up at the bar. You find Candice and Jerry easily- they're the first couple on the dance floor, Candice seemingly teaching Jerry how to two-step. The sight makes you smile. Candice deserves a night like this after the week she's had.

Elvis wraps a firm arm around your waist.

"You wanna dance with me, pretty girl?"

You smile.

"Don't you wanna go upstairs, maybe clean up a little?" You say, pressing close to him. He raises an eyebrow.

"You girls are all alike, trying to get me into bed without winin' and dinin' me first." Elvis teases.

Just as you're about to reply, a voice you've been hoping to forget sounds from behind you.

"There's my boy!"

The Colonel waddles up behind where the two of you are embraced, and you feel Elvis tense in your arms. You frown.

The old man claps a hand on Elvis's shoulder, cane in hand and goons in tow.

"Fantastic triumph, you've raked in quite a profit already!" The Colonel seems jovial, something you're not used to seeing. You lean in close to Elvis, who has turned to face the old man.

Elvis smiles, mostly out of politeness.

"Thank you, Colonel." Elvis moves to wrap an arm around you.

"I have a few things to go over with you about security, and then we can properly get this party started!" The old man says, and Elvis can't keep the disappointed frown from his face.

The Colonel notices, and he eyes you with contempt.

"It'll only take a minute my boy, then I'll leave you alone with your little woman."

You bite your lip in order not to say something snarky.

You give Elvis an encouraging smile, urging him to hurry back to you.

"It'll be a second, darlin'."

You nod.

"Hurry back, I'll be waiting."

He grins as he walks away, following the Colonel and his goons.

"You better be."

You stand alone at the bar, sighing as you lean up against it.

You can't help but wonder if you'll ever have your man to yourself, a moment to share where its just you and Elvis.

You order a drink.
