《Mama Nootmare (A fanfic with the bad sanses)》Chapter 12 - Scared

Nightmare POV:
The kids had been nicer to me lately. I'm guessing they still felt bad about the water incident. I'm not mad at all anymore. I mean, they did give me a way to talk to the de-no, Passive, so maybe I should thank them? Nah. I had already gone on and ruined two aus alone, so their punishment was up. If I'm being totally honest, it was lonely. I didn't realize how much fun they added to the destruction. They were excited to go and ruin some more lives soon. Dream had gotten faster at undoing what I caused, so I had to move faster these days. I stretched in my chair. The papers ahead of me were all finished. Finally. Now I need to check on the kids. I wandered out of the room and saw Cross's room wide open. He wasn't even in there. I closed the door and heard laughing from the game room down the hall. I walked in and saw them playing Mario cart.
"Who's winning?" I asked.
"Dust's first, Cross is second, I'm third, and Horror's last." Killer reported. Horror was currently in second during their current race.
"Huh. I'm surprised Cross isn't losing." I commented. Cross used to be terrible at video games.
"It isn't really fair!" Dust complained "He's been playing while we're at school!"
"It's not unfair. You're just jealous I've gotten better." Cross retorted.
I chuckled. 'These idiots.' "You guys wanna go ruin some lives later?" I asked. They all agreed happily, still focusing on their game. "Okay. We'll go after your game."
I stayed to watch the rest of their round. Dust ended up winning, Killer snuck into second, Cross for third, and Horror stayed in last. Between each other. Including the AIs...Dust still got first, Killer got third, Cross got sixth, and Horror got tenth. Horror was eager to go to burn the rage from his loss.

I teleported them to another full au. I looked around.
"If the Stars show up, do not engage. Come to me." I said. It was fully directed at Killer and Dust, mostly Killer. They nodded. I let them run wild. "Just don't kill everyone! I need negativity still." I called, going on to kill some of the more powerful people/monsters before the kids got to them.
We were talking in a little town when we heard them. The annoying Stars. The kids stood behind me.
"Nightmare!" Ink called "You know you can't take us all on at once." I just grumbled. I did know that.
"That may be." I said. I readied myself to attack. I felt the others doing the same. I had told them they could attack if it seemed I needed help. That was the only condition. Ink leaped at me first.
Cross POV:
I watched the battle with the others. It wasn't going well. Nightmare could handle Ink and Blue, but barely. He was only still going by thanks to accidentally dodging Dream.
"Can we help yet?" Killer asked. It was obvious he was worried.
"I don't know! He said when he was losing, but is he losing?" Dust blurted.
"Let's just go!" I shouted. "I'm nervous."
No one moved. We just kept watching. I gasped as an arrow landed straight in Nightmare's wrist. His other hand instinctively flew up. Ink took his chance and hit Nightmare away. Blue was already mid swing and snagged his his arm. Nightmare landed on the ground. Limp. (I cannot write battle scenes, I apologize) That was when we sprung into action. Dust took on Ink, Killer against Blue, and Horror took on Dream. I just went over to Nightmare and checked his wounds. He arrow was the worst one. I tried to yank it out but Nightmare grunted as I touched it. The Stars decided to retreat, having already used all of their stamina against Nightmare. When the others came over, we realized we had an issue.

"Can anyone teleport?" Horror asked.
"I might. I've done it occasionally. I've never gone to another universe though." He looked at the floor.
"Try thinking about home. Maybe that will work?" I suggested.
Dust nodded. Dust grabbed Nightmare's hand. Killer held onto his shoulder and Horror held his hand and I held Horror's. We stayed quiet. I stared at the arrow buried in his arm. We needed to get that out as soon as possible.
A sudden flash of purple brought us all into Nightmare's room. We all looked around.
"I did it!" Dust yelled. Horror hugged him.
I grabbed the arrow in Nightmare's arm. Killer joined me.
"1...2...3!" we pulled up on three. Nightmare yelled but didn't seem to wake up. He rolled over. I let go of the arrow and Killer chucked it away. Dust and Horror came over. We looked at his eye. It looked normal.
"What do we do now?" I asked. "Wait for him to wake up?"
"I guess." Killer said.
"Let's put him in his bed." Horror suggested. We could barely pick him up. We lifted him onto his bed, not exactly caring what position he was in.
"We're not going to leave...are we?" Dust asked. We looked at each other.
"Maybe for games of we get bored. By other than that, no." Horror basically said what we were all thinking.
I looked up at our unconscious guardian. I climbed up and hugged him. The others followed me. We were scared. We can't feel emotions like Nightmare can, but we all knew it. We loved him and we didn't want to lose him. I saw Dust pull out Nightmare's phone from his pocket.
"What're you doing?" I asked.
"Trying to call Error. Isn't he like Nightmare's best friend?" He asked.
"Yeah." Killer said, very intent on poking Nightmare's face, attempting to wake him. Dust walked out once he found Error's contact. We just snuggled up to Nightmare, tired and not wanting to leave his side. Dust eventually came back in and joined us. We all slept beside him.
~Time Skip~
Error had been taking care of us for the morning. Keeping his distance and not touching us. He also said that Nightmare would be okay, and us taking out the arrow was the right choice. It would've been worse if we had left the arrow. I was eating a spider donut out of the box Error had bought when Killer came running in. He tripped and fell on his face. I heard Error laugh.
"He's awake!" Killer yelled angrily. "He also has a massive headache and can't move his hand. Don't yell."
Killer got up and ran back. I followed close behind, wolfing down the rest of my donut. We entered the room and saw Dust and Horror on the bed beside him already. They'd bandaged up his hand and wrist with him. I jumped up and hugged him.
"Hello, Cross." He said, hugging me back with is good hand. Error came in a moment later. "When did you get here?!" Nightmare asked.
"Dust called me and told me the situation." He said, standing in the doorway.
"Ah." Nightmare said.
'Is it weird that I want to get them together?' I thought 'nah. It's adorable.' I hugged closer to Nightmare.
"Thanks for watching and taking care of them though." Nightmare said. "I might still need your help." Nightmare said, holding up his broken wrist.
"Alright fine. I'll stay for a bit. I might leave to go destroy aus though for a bit though." He said. Nightmare smiled. He hugged all of us again.

Bloodlines
Bloodlines is the first major story set in the far larger and immensely connected universe known as Infinitum. A group of renegades and misfits take into the sky in their fancy skyship to fulfill the prophecy they don't care about and defeat the Empire they care even less about. In the process, they learn things (they would rather not) of the fucked up Universe, dead gods, and the future that holds no mercy. Bloodlines draws inspiration from One Piece. But in the bigger picture, Bloodlines is one of many stories set in Cosmere-like universe where plots stretch beyond planets and star systems and stakes are higher than godhood (like in Malazan chronicles). Currently, I am planning to finish the first arc [Bandit Arc], add 10k words interlude with some revelations, then publish a story happening elsewhere. Then I will be back to write the second arc. For now, the Fifth Region has 8 arcs planned. Officially, there are 5 regions. The Fifth Region is not the shortest but is far from the longest regions. - PS. Pay attention to flavor text. Chapters published weekly.
