/ EPISODE ONE
❛ ❜
❀Luna was standing in the kitchen as she helped her mother make a fresh batch of cookies. As Luna mixed the dough, her mother poured a baggie of chocolate chips into the same blue bowl for Luna to mix into the dough.
Outside, as the two started to form little balls of dough on the cookie sheet, pulled up the Conklin family. A horn blared and Luna dropped the cookie dough that she was holding right back into bowl. She wiped her hands along her floral apron that Belly had gifted her as a birthday present, and ran as fast as she could through the house, occasionally bumping into things as she did so.
"They're here!" Susannah cheerfully yelled out to her children, more so her two sons and not her daughter who's already out the door with her arms reached out in front of her.
Luna opened the front door of the beach house, and went right towards the closest Conklin, that being Steven. "Stevie!" She exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around him, and he wrapped his arms around her in a hug.
Steven pulled away first and smiled as he did so. "Lolli! I missed you!"
"I missed you too!" Luna replied when Jeremiah walked up to the two of them. He practically snatched Steven away, because when they were close enough to each other, they were hugging like no tomorrow. "Okay then."
"Luna! It's so great to see you!" Laurel, Steven and Belly's mother and Lunas aunt exclaimed when she neared the Fisher daughter.
Luna wrapped her arms around her aunt, "I've missed you!"
Laurel pulled back just enough so she could look at her niece, "I've missed you too, Lolli."
The two continued to hug until Susannah stepped outside with a huge smile plastered on her face, she was happy and it showed.
That left Luna with one that person to hug, that being Belly. The girl was still standing against the car as she watched everyone else around her hug and reunite.
"Bells." Luna said just loud enough that it would catch Bellys attention.
"Luna!" Belly raced over towards the daughter Fisher and hugged her like her life depended on it. Like Luna was her life like. Luna hugged back and kept her arms wrapped around Belly until she felt her pull away.
By the time the two girl pulled away from each other, everyone else had hugged and greater each other, even Conrad had shown up.
Speaking of Conrad, he walked over to the two and swung his arm around Lunas shoulder. "I liked you better with glasses." He spoke to Belly.
"Too bad. I like me better without them." Belly smiled back as she replied, laughing when Conrad reached forward and ruffled her hair.
"Hey, hey, guys, guy." Steven started as he and Jeremiah stepped closer towards Luna, Belly and Conrad. "I mean, I-I don't know about you, but I, well, I think it's time for a..." Steven trailed off as he pretended to check a watch on his wrist.
"Belly flop!" Jeremiah and Steven exclaimed at the same time, both cheering as they did so.
Belly laughed and ran to avoid the three boys chasing after her. Every year when the family came down it happened, but Luna never once helped the boys throw Belly into the fool. They year was different, Jeremiah paid her ten bucks to help and she gladly took the money and bought herself a cute anklet.

Steven managed to grab ahold of his sister, but she was quick in wiggling her way out of his grasp. "No! No!"
"She's quick!"
Conrad and Luna were the fastest at reaching Luna and lightly grabbing ahold of her. "Grab her feet." Conrad told the two other boys when they got close enough.
"Let's go! Let's go!" Steven and Jeremiah cheered. "Belly flop!"
The four of them carried Belly towards the pool, and once they neared the edge they started to swing her. "One. Two. Three!" On three, Belly went flying into the pool, making a splash, screaming until she hit the water.
"How's the water?" Jeremiah asked when Belly emerged from the water.
"Guys, I hurt my ankle." Belly was holding onto her ankle, she was looking towards the four of them, her eyes landing on Luna who was already reaching out for her. Belly smirked, grabbed ahold of Lunas hand and pulled her into the pool. "Ha."
"Belly!" Luna said loudly as she emerged from the surface of the pool.
Belly laughed and splashed at Luna. In return, Luna grasped ahold of her friend and dunked them both into the water once again.
Eyes open, soft smiles on lips, the two looked at each other under water until Belly floated back up to the water.
❀ Dinner had passed, and it was dark outside when Belly and Luna decided that they both wanted to go to the bonfire that the boys had told them they were going to attend.
Luna laid on her stomach on Belly's bed, watching as Belly dug around in her suitcase and closet until she found something suitable to wear to the bonfire party.
"How's this?" Belly questioned Luna as she held up a slightly skimpy dress that showed a little more than what Belly normally wore.
Luna wasn't going to tell Belly that the pink outfit was possibly to over the top for a bonfire, so she just smiled and tilted her head. "It's wonderful. Perfect."
Belly grinned wildly as she skipped towards the bathroom and changed into baby pink dress. When she was changed she exited the room and did a twirl for Luna. "So..."
"Beautiful," Luna said kindly as she rolled of the bed not so gracefully. Belly laughed as she watched Luna stumble and fall to the floor after stepping weirdly off the bed. She hoped Belly didn't see her blush, the one that went from the tip of her ears to the tip of her nose.
"You okay?" Belly asked once her laughing had died down and when she started to help the Fisher daughter up.
Luna nodded as she allowed Belly to help her up. "I'm fine, Bells. Thank you." Once Luna was steadily standing on her feet, and wouldn't fall again, she plucked a bracelet from the many on her wrist and handed it to Belly. "Here, for you."
Belly blinked in surprise, but took the bracelet and slipped it onto her wrist. It fit perfect, like it was meant to be there.
"Th-thanks, Lolli." Belly blushed as she grabbed ahold of Lunas hand and walked with her through the house and towards the front door, both teenagers successfully avoiding making noise so their mothers didn't notice they were sneaking out.
When they both managed to get out of the house without anyone seeing them, or stopping them, they walked the walk to the bonfire.
"What if Conrad or Jeremiah see me?" Luna questioned with wide eyes. If her siblings saw her where they told her not to be, they would both personally kick her ass.

Belly shook her head as she used her arms to cover her chest, slightly cold now by the night time breeze. "Then they see you? It's not like they'll actually drown you in the pool if they do actually catch you here."
That is right. Jeremiah and Conrad Fisher had told Luna Fisher, their younger sister that if she showed up to the bonfire, they would drown her in their beach house pool. of course for many reasons, this isn't true and only fictional. it'll never happen... we'll maybe somewhere in the multiverse.Luna knew they were joking, so did Belly. Or well, they both hoped.
Chatter. Lots and lots of overlapping chatter. It masked the small words spoken back and forth between Luna and Belly. Everyone was loud and enjoying the time that they were having.
"Yo! Gas station girl!" Someone called out from Belly and Lunas right. "Hey. Where you coming from?"
Belly fiddled with her hair. "Uh, a-another party." She chuckled as glanced towards Luna. "Yeah, we just came from one."
The boy, guy, the one interested in Belly, whoever he was, nodded at Belly's words. "Sweet. Yeah. Hey. Here, take my beer."
Belly shook her head and made a motion with her hand as if she was ready to push the drink away. "No, no, no, thanks. I'm okay." Belly leaned towards Luna and Luna leaned towards her.
"So, uh... you got a boyfriend back home?" The guy asked and Luna could tell that Belly wasn't enjoying this.
Luna decided that she would step in now. "Hey, is there drinks over there? Bells wanna get drinks?"
Belly nodded and gave a sympathetic — and slightly fake smile — towards the guy she had meet earlier. "Yeah, let's go, Lolli."
Luck wasn't on their side, because the girls couldn't get more than a few steps before Belly and Luna ran right into Steven Conklin.
Steven was not happy at all that Belly, his younger sister had shown up, and he wasn't happy with what she was wearing. "What are you wearing?" His questions didn't stop. "What are you doing here?"
And of course Belly and Steven has to bicker back and forth as Luna followed behind kicking her feet in the sand. Then Belly fell and everyone around who noticed stopped what they were doing.
Luna wasn't sure if she should help Belly up right away, or laugh first because it was pretty funny watching her fall over. Pushing her laughter down, only letting a few giggles out, Luna reached out and held her hand out for Belly to take if she chose.
Belly did. She took Lunas hand and pulled herself up, keeping eye contact as she did so. "Thank you."
"Of course."
❀Belly and Luna were sitting near the water, with their feet dipping in and out of the waves that washed up on the beach. It was calming and took Bellys attention off of what had happened earlier. For Luna, she was just relaxing in the presence of Belly.
"Are you going to do the deb ball?" Belly questioned softly as she sunk into the sand, her long dark hair now sprawled out.
Luna nodded, "I am. My mom, she thought it would be a good idea, and I didn't get to do it last year."
In reality, Luna was more than happy to participate in the debutante ball. She had already told her mother the second it was announced that she wanted to participate, her mother didn't even get the change to ask her if she wanted too, it was all Luna. Not that she would tell anyone that — not with her older brother Conrad saying that all debs are sheep, despite him having participated last year.
"Yeah, last year was slightly crazy." Belly nodded, mixing sand into her hair. "It was the road trip, and Conrad had driven back home because he had work that day. Apparently he was just taking that girl to the deb ball."
Last summer, the Fisher and Conklin family had taken a week out of their summer at the beach house to go to a water park a few towns over. They went camping well they stayed there, sleeping in tents and eating s'mores until they couldn't stomach marshmallows anymore. It was something they'd remember for the rest of their lives, and tell the adventure to their children.
"What about you?" Luna buried her hands into the sand underneath her as she talked into the air. "Are you going to do the ball?"
"I think so..." Belly, she wasn't sure if she wanted to do this. If she wanted to go to a debutante ball where she had to dress up and act like a princess.
"The finger sandwiches are the best. I'd just sneak in and take a few every once and while during the summer." Luna laughed quietly as she spoke, the memories of running away and trying not to be caught after stealing a handful of finger sandwiches — or funeral sandwiches as she liked to call them.
Belly laughed along. "You stone funeral sandwiches! Seriously, Lolli?"
Luna blushed at the way Lolli fell from Belly's lips. Like icing on a cake, it was smooth and sweet. She was glad that it was dark out and Belly couldn't see the blush unless she focused really hard, and Luna knew that Belly wouldn't pay that much attention.
Belly noticed. Shes always noticed. "Your phone is buzzing." Gosh Belly was beating herself up for that. She couldn't have said anything else, anything other than 'your phone is buzzing.'
To be fair, Lunas phone was indeed buzzing.
Luna rolled onto her side and grabbed her phone, pressing her screen and rolling back onto her back. "Hello?"
"Lonnie! The golden Canadian coin!" Someone's cheerful voice was heard, and Belly couldn't help but wish that she couldn't hear anything. She could hear a girls voice, and wondered that maybe Luna had a girlfriend.
She couldn't complain though. She was in love with Conrad, right?
"Izzy, hi." Luna spoke as she turned her head so she could see Belly and the dim orange glow not to far behind. "What's up?"
"Oh! Oh! I know that tone of voice! You're with Belly aren't you? Oh gosh, I just wanted to call and see if you got the playlist I sent you." Izzy was definitely drunk. Luna could tell by the way that her friends voice cracked and stuttered with every few words. It was normal for Luna to know when her friends were drinking, heck she was invited most of the time.
"Yes... I got it. I'll check it out now, by Izzy! Love ya!" Luna rushed the words out before Izzy could say anything else. She hung up and pressed something else on her phone before she set it down and got up. "Come on Bell, stand up."
"I'm up, I'm up." Belly reluctantly got up with the help of the Fisher daughter. Her hands were still in the blondes when they both were standing.
Only a few seconds later was when the music started to play from Lunas phone. It was a slow song, Thinking out loud by Ed Sheran.
Belly had her hands linked behind Lunas neck and Luna had her hands linked behind Belly's waist. They swayed and swayed until they both started to feel dizzy.
They didn't know that in half an hour they'd be pulled over by the cops, asking if they had been drinking. They'd be escorted home because Conrad reeked of vodka and mixed alcohols. They'd be scolded that night too, but it didn't matter much.
Luna hadn't touched any alcohol that night, but Luna was drunk on Belly Conklin.
