《Bakugou's Lover》Chapter One: Flowers

It was about 7am in the middle of february. The sound of a bell rang as a few highschool kids came in. Today was valentine's day. Everyone wanted to get flowers for the person they like. A head of blond spiky hair could barely be seen behind the counter as they walked up to it.
“Hey, Mr. Bakugou!” A voice said as the blond stood up, holding a bouquet of purple lilies. He looked towards the voice and saw his four favorite customers. “Kota, Eri, Katsuma, Mahoro! How are you kids doing today?” He spoke, getting replies of “good” and “amazing.”
“So, what can I do for you guys?” “I wanna get some flowers for my dads!” Eri said, looking at all the flowers. Bakugou had owned this shop for 4 years right out of college. Eri always got the same flowers every time she came to his shop for valentine’s day.
“I just got some fresh Red Carnation flowers. Would you like me to get them for you?” She nodded as she helped Kota look for some flowers.
When Bakugou got back from getting the flowers he saw both Shimano's staring at a certain flower. “Those are orange lilies.” Both of them jumped noticing he was right behind them. “They signify pride. They are one of my favorites.” “All of the flowers are your favorites.” Mahoro said as she laughed.
He giggled.
“I guess you got me there. Do you two know what kinda flowers you want?” He asked standing from his crouched position. “We want some flowers to give to our parents. We miss them and want to remind them that we still love them.” Katsuma said, playing with his fingers. Bakugou thought for a second before heading to the greenery of his shop. He held a bouquet of Blue Salvia and Chrysanthemum.
“The Blue Salvia flowers mean ‘I’m thinking of you’ and the Chrysanthemum is the purest form of honesty. Their colors blend together nicely don’t you think?” They both nodded in awe.
Kota pulled on his apron that had a picture of the shop's logo on it. A Gladiolus. It represents growth and progression. The boy leaned into his ear, “Hey I wanna get some flowers for a girl I like.” Bakugou’s eyes went wide before he smiled at him. He nodded and grabbed some flowers from a display.

“You can never go wrong with roses.” He pulled out some red and white roses and arranged them to look like a heart. “The white ones stand for purity.” Bakugou looked over to Eri before looking back at Kota. “It will go well with who you’re asking.” All Kota could do was nod his head and look at the flowers.
Bakugou walked back around the counter. “Okay. Bring your flowers up and I’ll send you guys on your way.” After he rang up the prices and they all paid for them he stopped them before they went out the door. He put a huge box on his counter. He pulled out four self made flower crowns.
The flower crown had flowers like Daffodils, lily-of-the-valleys, and violets. “The crown stands for new beginnings, happiness, luck, and faithfulness. I made them yesterday and wanted to give the first four to you guys.” He placed one on each of their heads and pushed them out the door. “Don’t be late for school. Aizawa would kill me if he knew I was causing you guys to be late.” He said before going back into his shop. He looked at his watch and saw that only an hour had passed.
“Today is gonna be a long day.” He sighed before going to put more flowers on display.
-After the day-
It was now 6pm and Bakugou was getting tired. He closes his shop at 7 so all he had to do was wait an hour. He opened his phone to see a new text from his best friend. Ochaco Uraraka.
Ochaco
“Kats! A few of us are coming to your shop to pick you up.”
Katsuki
“Alright. Just let me close up first.”
Ochaco
“Take your time. Denki left his keys in his house so now he’s trying to find them.”
Bakugou sent a quick “K” before going to lock up his store. He made sure to water each one of his flowers before closing his greenery. He took off his apron and started sweeping his floor. The floor was littered in loose leaves and dead flower petals. He hummed as he wiped his counter and workstation down.

He heard the door open and he frowned. He had forgotten to change the open sign. “Sorry, we’re closed.” “Kats, you can’t be closed if the sign says you’re open.” Bakugou laughed before turning about to his brunette friend. “Well. I was gonna do it when I was closing the shop.” She hummed in a “yeah right” way and pulled him towards the door. “Come on. We have to go!” She said tugging him out the door. “Okay okay. Let me lock the door.” He turned off the lights and locked the door. Flipping the open sign to closed.
He could hear yelling from her dark grey mini van. He laughed as he opened the door. Denki was yelling a song with Hanta and Mina. Shinso was asleep in the back seat next to Jiro and Tokoyami. Uraraka took up the driver's seat and Bakugou sat shotgun. “Bakubae! Took you long enough. We can finally get drinks!” Mina said, pumping her fist in the air.
Uraraka had found a bar a couple of weeks ago and this was the only weekend they all had off together so they decided to go. The ride there was anything but quiet. The playlist they had on which from what the Bakusquad like to what the Emosquad like frequently. When they finally arrived. Turning out by AJR just finished. “Remember guys. Try not to lose track of each other. Hanta volunteered to be our driver so make sure he doesn’t drink that much.” Uraraka reminded them before getting out of the car.
The music was booming there. It was more like a club than a bar. It was crowded and the lights were dim. They all made their way to the bar and ordered a few shots of tequila.
An hour later everyone went their own separate ways. Hanta, Denki and Mina were all dancing on the dance floor, Tokoyami got the liquid courage to talk to a girl he had been staring at for the past 30 minutes, Jiro and Shinso were in the corner seeing who could drink the most, and Bakugou and Uraraka were still at the bar drinking Margaritas. “Excuse me, sir. The man at the end of the bar bought you a drink.” Bakugou looked at the end to see a man with green hair smiling at him. The drink was a Whiskey sour. He had never had whiskey before, but would it be okay to accept a drink from him?
“Kats, if you’re not gonna drink it. I am.” She laughed. “No. I’ll drink it. Don’t wanna waste the poor man’s money.” They both laughed as Bakugou downed the drink. He looked back at where the man was sitting to find he wasn’t there anymore. Strange.
“Come on. I wanna go dancing!” She said, pulling him onto the dance floor. House of Memories by Panic! At the Disco were playing as they started dancing. He noticed that Tokoyami and the girl he was talking to were dancing too. He saw Jiro and Shinso cheering him on in their drunken states. They all were laughing as they danced.
The last time they all got together was on Uraraka’s birthday in December and they even had to cut that short since her job called her in suddenly.
“Uraraka, I’m going to the bathroom.” He yelled over the music and talking. She nodded and waved as he left. The bathroom was unpopulated and almost silent other than the muffled music. He did his business and washed his hands. He took a long look in the mirror.
His eyes felt more droopy the more he looked. He felt so tired all of a sudden. He pulled out his phone but before he could do anything he fell to the floor and his phone fell from his hand and slid into one of the stalls. He tried to stand but his body felt like he was shutting down. He heard the door open and he looked over towards it. He heard two sets of footsteps walking towards them.
“Ura...ra….ka?” He said. Whoever it was didn’t answer. He closed his eyes and darkness surrounded him.
