Lani's POV

It was the next day I prepared myself walking in not knowing what to expect.

Knowing that I could lose my best friend really scared me too. I walked in the hospital room to see her

"Hey Lani"She said unfazed like nothing happened to her as a giggle came out

"Hey C how you feel" I asked

"Good the doctor told me this long ass list of side effects but I don't feel any"she said

"Oh that's so good"

"Yeah I guess I like your outfit"

"Thanks it's yours"

"It is?"she questioned me

"Yeah look"I went through my camera roll

"You see"

"The only thing I can't really remember is about me. Like I'm used to seeing my self in this hospital gown"she said kinda upset

"That's okay I'll help. But first off Jonah ain't your boyfriend he's your ex he lied too you"

"I kinda figured I mean I don't even remember him so that means I haven't seen him" She said

"Do you remember playing volleyball"I questioned her

"Of course I can't wait to play in college after this"

"That's good"A long pause from filled the room and she looks up at me

"What does my real boyfriend really look like"

"You don't remember" I questioned surprised but she shook her head no

"Oh well I'll show you him" I scrolled through his Instagram and showed her pictures of them two. She just smiled

"It's crazy I mean I Remember everything it was just like every time I saw him I couldn't picture him fully. Do you like him" I shrugged

"I never met em"

"I just wonder why he hasn't showed up if he love's me so much" she said

"I guess he's in a different country doing basketball or whatever"

"At least he's doing something he loves"she says as I rolled my eyes

"I guess... does he know you're out of it"

I asked her

"Yeah my brothers told him but I haven't talked to him"

"Why not"

"I just don't know what to say" she said as I wondered why

"You should probably just go for it"

I said as she stared blankly into my eyes
