When the police started questioning me, I told them everything including the part where I was cat sitting Clays cat. I also told them about the part where Clay was Dream- with his permission, since lying to the police could get us both in trouble.
When they left, I called Clay to tell him what happened.
"Hey, how'd it go?" He asked right as I called.
"It went ok, they didn't know who you were when I told them the fangirls had the right house." I said, already packing my things. "I'm packing right now. Patches is with me since they broke the back window. Did you tell Sapnap?"
"Yeah, he knows. We both can't come early. There are no flights." He said, probably doing something on the other end since there was ruffling to hear.
I put my last shirt into my backpack and said "Nah, don't worry about it. The people should be here any moment now to repair the window."
"Ok, great. How much will it cost?"
"Nothing, the one who broke it will pay."
"I know this is out of the blue but could I stay at yours for a while? Someone will probably come knocking again. Sap is staying at Karl's after his trip."
"Oh, yeah, no problem. You can have the bed, I'll take the couch and-"
"Woah woah woah, thanks but you're not taking the couch." He interrupted. "If I'm staying at yours I will be the one on the couch."
"No, you're the guest. I'm taking the couch."
"Ok fine, we're both taking the couch." He joked.
"You know what? You're right. Patches gets the bed."

We stayed silent for a moment, before bursting out laughing. "Oh god, lets just both share the bed. What size do you have?"
"King. That works with me." I smiled, knowing I'd be sharing with the fucking Dream.
"Then it's settled. We're sharing."
I put the backpack on on floor and sat down on my bed.
"So, I'll be seeing the famous dreams face."
He stayed silent.
"Shit I haven't thought about that part-" He giggled. "But yeah, I guess you will."
I froze. "Wait shit I really will- I literally said that without processing it-"
Clay started wheezing and I joined soon after, but I was cut off by the bell.
"Oh, I think the workers are here. I have to go. Bye."
"Bye."

When the guys finished I told Clay right away.

When I got home the first person I saw was Mason. They hugged me right away. "Holy shit you do not know how worried I was when I heard the news- I thought they hurt you or something! Never scare me like that ever again."
"Mason- I can't breathe- I'm gonna drop Patches-" They let go right away.
"Oh.my.god. PATCHES!" She knelt down to her and looked at the cat in amazement. "God, this is unreal- I'm not dreaming am I? Get it? Dream-ing?"
"Mason your puns are getting worse and worse. And no, you're not dreaming."
"Can I pet her?"
"Mhm, you play with her while I get the rest of my stuff."

I unlocked my door and placed Patches inside, letting her out of the cage and laving her with Mason.
After a few minutes all my stuff was unpacked and I texted Clay, before turning to the two again. "Mason, you want pizza?"
"Ohhh, yeah, pineapple for me."
"Don't you hate pineapple?"
"Argyle says 'try before you deny!', so that's exactly what I'm doing." She said, already best friends with Patches.
I smiled. "Doesn't he also do drugs?"
She glanced at me. "Who said I don't?"
I turned to look at them and they burst out laughing. "Don't worry, I only do it when I'm feeling like shit, which is almost never these days."

After the pizza came, Mason realized that Pineapple on pizza wasn't that bad- which is a bit concerning.
"So, you and Dream?"
"I wish, he sees me as nothing more than a friend."
"I'll be the judge of that, when do I get to meet him?" They took another big bite.
"In like- five days."
She choked. "WHAT?!"
"Yeah, he's staying at my place for a bit to make sure no one comes to his house and sees him." I smiled.
"Waitwaitwaitwaitwait-" She took a deep breath. "Where's he sleeping?"
"We agreed on my bed, wee sharing."
"And who's idea was that?"
"His-" I said, as she slammed her pizza down on the plate.
"YEP! HE LIKES YOU!"
"Were just sharing because no one would give p on the couch."
"Girly, I hate to be the one to gender this but this is dream we're talking about. He likes you, like- like likes you. No guy like him would ever just decide to share! Plus I can bet with you he talks about you with George and Sapnap."
"He flirts with his best friend all the time, are you sure?"
"Y/n, bebe, as much as I like Dnf, I like Y/nWasTaken a lot more. And he's made it clear that that flirting is just for the cameras." She took another bite.
"Well, lets hope you're right." I said with a little blush.
