_______________
It's been around a week since I sent the letter.
Right now I was standing before my mailbox. Hopes were high for a response, but the letters I would get were probably gonna be some about my bills.
I finally opened it, to be greeted by three or four letters and a box. Rightttt- I bought a few books online. One of them finally being "the seven husbands of-" what was her name again? El something.
Right as I took it out I put the letters on top of the box- which was a bit heavy.
"Bills, bills, more bills." I sighed. No sign of dreams respond. I was getting my hopes high, really, and Mason was a big part of that.
All the letters for the bills were about it getting more expensive. The landlord is pretty old fashioned and stays away from technology as much as possible, leaving me with a million letters from him.
As I was reading a bit about it through that little see through hole whilst walking, when I accidentally bumped into someone.
"Au- sorry." I said, the letter falling out of my hand.
"Oh, no problem. Here you go miss." The- very- familiar voice.
I looked up right away to see the mailman standing there. "Oh! Billy, hi!" I said, putting the letter back on the box. He was a good friend of my dad.
"Y/N! Long time no see!"
"Yeah, I've been a bit busy with college and work just like in the past few year."
"Ah, yes. College is very hard. It's almost end of the year. I wish you the best of luck with your exams!"
"Thanks!" I waved goodbye quickly before grasping on the box again. Billy waved back and I made my way out.

(Ha, ya thought it was gonna be dream)
Out of nowhere, I hear Billy yelling my name from behind.
"Y/N wait!" I stopped right away and turned to look at him.
"What is it?"
"I've got another letter for you. Here. Bye!" He waved, running back inside after placing the letter on the other ones.
A letter- a green one. I thought it was from my landlord again, but he would never send a green letter. Was it some special occasion this time?
But when i turned it around, my questions were answered.
From: Clay
My heart skipped a beat.
No way, right? There's no way this was real.
I ran to my car, turning it on and driving back home, whilst calling Mason right away.
"Hey dude what's up?"
"DREAM-"
"HE GAVE YOU AN ANSWER? WHERE'S THE PATCHES PIC?" She yelled.
"No- Well yes he sent a letter back BUT- I still didn't open it. You're coming to my house right away."
"I'm standing before your door. Y/N do you forget were neighbours sometimes?"
"Right- yeah- I'll be there soon. Bye."
~
After getting home Mason bombarded me with questions, knowing damn well I still didn't open the dann letter.
"Ok wait were opening it!" I sat down on the sofa, taking the letter and opening it.
Hello Y/N,
Thanks for the letter and drawing (I decided on adding a drawing later on.) The envelope is also very nice, thanks for that, too.
As for you and your friends request, here's a limited edition photo of Patches just for you.
-Dream
Mason finished reading before me and took the printed out picture of Patches, revealing another little message under it. (It was taped on the letter)
Ps. There's two for both of you :)

I smiled as I read it, Mason handing me the other one, since they had accidentally took both.
"Ah, remember when I had to force you into the dream smp fandom and you didn't wanna join because the fan base was- and is- so toxic?" Mason reminded. "Well, you now have this all becouse of me."
"Yeah yeah shut up." I laughed, turning the envelope around to see not only my own po box, but also dreams. But it sounded different than what I remembered, so I googled it.
"Hey uh- Mason?" They turned to me. "I think Dream accidentally wrote down his own damn address, not only his po box." I said, handing her the envelope.
"Holy shit- He for real did!" Mason said, standing up from the couch. "What was he thinking?"
"I don't know- maybe he was in a hurry or something." I leaned my head back, pulling up the letter with me, which Mason handed me back.
"Ok, first I wanna frame the picture of Patches." I said, standing up and taking the photo.
"Yeah same- BUT- This gives you another reason to to send him a letter." Mason smirked, also picking up the picture.
"Sure whatever. See ya." I said as they left my apartment.
~
After framing the photo, I took out another paper and started writing on it.
Hey, it's me again.
Sorry to bother with the whole letter sending stuff but I wanted to say you wrote down your address instead of your po box. I won't do anything with it, I'm not that kinda person, but I wanted to tell you this.
-Y/N
I quickly made another origami envelope and got into my car.
When I got to the post office, I went to the same woman as a from a week before.
She smiled as she took the letter. "Same address as last week. Are they your lover?" She smirked.
I laughed at the comment a bit. "No, it's just some guy you've probably never heard of."
"Try me."
"Well- don't laugh, but it's that super famous YouTuber Dream." I said.
The woman turned to look at me. "Oh, your bought I wouldn't know him? I may be old but not up to date with the trends." She said with a little smirk. "Did he give you an answer?"
"Yeah, and he accidentally sent his real address, so I wanted to tell him that."
"Ah, some things never change.." She mumbled. "Well, he should get it soon. Have a nice day."
"You too!"

Rantings of the Broken
These are poems of my thoughts. Since I can't talk to people about them, I need to talk to someone about my thoughts, even if they're reading it over a screen. They may be dark and you may see the brokeness inside, but hopefully I will be able to find hope and a reason to live. If you don't want to read the story, that doesn't offend me. You'll just be ignoring the cries of the broken.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).
