The next morning, well I mean kind of the same morning, I take a shower and get ready for work.
I put my hair in a bun and place my hat on my head.
"Mom, are you ready?" I asked while walking past her room and down the stairs.
"Yeah, I'm coming!" She yells down the stairs.
————
I make it to work and my boss looks at me.
"Hey Daya, you ready?" He asked me.
I smile and nod my head before clocking in and washing my hands.
I put on a pair of gloves and I hop on taco bar.
My coworker Brandy smiles at me.
She has brown hair and brown eyes. Her arms are covered in colorful tattoos that I adore so much.
"Daya, I haven't seen you in a long time? What's up?" Brandy asked while throwing a burrito shell into the burrito shell heater.
I get the wrap for the burrito and I place it on the counter in between the two of us.
Brandy places the hot shell onto the wrap and she puts beans and taco meat on it.
I scoot the paper over with the shell, beans, and taco meat on it and I throw some cheese on it.
"Nothing much, I've just been in summer school!" I reply while I wrap the burrito. "What's up with you?"
"Nothin much, just work and school." Brandy states while handing me a taco shell.
I wonder what LaMelo's doing right now...
I place all of the ingredients needed into the taco and Brandy looks at me.
I wonder if he is-
Brandy looks up at the computer screen above us and she laughs interrupting my thoughts.
She hands me another taco shell.
"No cheese!" Brandy says.

I groan and she chuckles to herself.
I make the taco the correct way and I mark the wrapper as no cheese.
"Who are you thinkin about DD?"
I laugh and I smack my lips playfully.
"Nobody!" I reply before continuing to make the food.
————
After work I sit in the dining room waiting for my mom to come and pick me up.
💕stuck in traffic my love, runnin lateeeee
No problem...take your time.
I open up my Snapchat and I take a selfie in my uniform.
I post it and then I watch people's stories.
LaMelos story is him and his friends at the basketball part of the gym.
The next Snapchat is the front of a Del Taco restaurant.
I hear the door open and I look up from my phone.
I see LaMelo walk in with his friends and my heart skips a beat.
Oh my God...
LaMelo glances at me and we make eye contact but then he turns back to his friends.
They order food and then they walk to fill up their sodas.
LaMelo says something to his friends and he walks to the bathroom.
His friends pass me to pick a table to sit at and they pick the table behind me.
I go back on my phone and continue to watch people's stories.
LaMelo comes out of the bathroom and he walks to the table, right past me.
Wow, so fake! I think to myself.
A few seconds later the group of boys get up and sit at my table.
LaMelo sits next to me in the booth and I look at him.
"What's up Dayamaya!" LaMelo says happily. "I didn't know you worked at Del Taco!"
I nod my head smiling.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
He shrugs his shoulders and I roll my eyes.
"I'm kidding, I'm waiting for my brothers girlfriend to pick me up. She said she was in traffic and it would be like thirty minutes before she got here so I told her I'm getting some food!"
"Mmm, okay!" I say.
I look at LaMelos friends and I wave at them.
"Y'all wanna play heads up while we wait for our food?" One of his friends asked.
"Sure, why not!" I reply.

Old Riding Author Lunatic Asylum
Just off the A19, in the dark, incomprehensible lands known as Yorkshire, there lies a town. A town where shadow-silent alleys glint with the secret hunger of knives. Where blood soaks the chipboard window shutters of forsaken terraces stretching off into the night. Where the smog-choked air rattles with the depraved laughter echoing out from clubs that can only generously be described as post-apocalyptic. Well, that’s Middlesbrough. But down the A19 a bit (an impossibly long way down, actually) there lies another town: Raughnen, in the ancient, forgotten Old Riding. It is an equal match in muggery and thuggery alike. It also has magic spells and pointy wizard hats. And now, across the miles and across all sensibilities, a pretty nasty power (a magic one) calls out for its pretty nasty counterpart (a decidedly unmagic one): a proper sound Boro lad. Nothing good can come of it. This is a collection of one novella and four connected short stories: I. A Yorkshire Summoning II. Old Riding Day Trip (the novella) III. Heaven is a Parmo IV. Death on the 66 V. Death on the 257 In total, this comprises 34 chapters totalling around 35,000 words, so try not to worry. It will be over relatively quickly. There are three more short stories with more tenuous links to the core collection: Rush, Paper Round and Scenario 79: Sausage Fingers, all of which can be found in my collection Short Records of Misadventure. Reading these may allow you to make more sense of certain parts of the story, if any sense is to be made at all. NOTE: There are instances of prejudice and discrimination within these stories, including elements of sexism and ageism, which are purely the thoughts and actions of the characters involved and which certainly do not reflect my own views on these matters. ANOTHER NOTE; A WARNING, PERHAPS: This can get a bit weird. In less than 150 pages, we have four viewpoints, first and third person narratives, and a completely disjointed plot with lots of gaps, dead ends and no real resolution. Also ZERO lunatic asylums. It's all a bit odd. If that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea, which it most likely isn't, it might be best to move on now.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)

Space: Not the Rear!
A man raised out of time who for the most part is screwed. A place into the distant future where magic and science collide, for the ultimate science will always appear as magic to those who don't understand it. Comedy ensues with 4th wall breaks, a V.I. and a game sponsor and other entertaining events as I make my character suffer.. *cough* Anyways this is for the entertainment and enjoyment of you the readers and me the author. I would say that each chapter is roughly only 1k words long each or I could say that each is condenced comedy gold. You decide which. Schedule = none. Will write as I feel inspired and will peter out at some point. So lets enjoy it while it lasts.
