It was Monday, I was at my locker putting my books away from the last class.

I had my airpods that my mother randomly gifted me in my ears, I was listening to Bryson Tiller. I'm in love with that man.

I get everything i need from my locker and closed it. I began walking towards my next class, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey girlie, you got time to talk for a minute?" Vin asks me.

I looked at the time on my apple watch and back up at Vin. She was giving me the puppy dog eyes, I can't say no to that.

"Fine, we got 8 mins til class starts." I gave in.

She squeals and began to drag me towards a bench to sit.

I sit down and slap my hands on my thighs.

"Okay, wassup? Is it Eli? What he do? Imma beat his ass Vin I-

she cuts me off

"No, Eli is fine. I just wanna ask you if you going to prom my g." she assured me.

"You sat me down to talk about a dumbass dance sis?" I raised my eyebrow.

She hits me in my arm and tells me it's not a dumbass dance.

"It's not just a dance Scar, It's our Senior Prom."

I just gave her a blank stare, I don't see the big deal.

She scoffs at me and hits me in my arm again. I lift my hand up and hit her back this time.

"Ouch! That hurts!" She begins to rub her arm.

"I know you hit me 2 times, anyways... why is prom important again?"

"Cause you and Melo need to go together." Vin answers my question with a smirk.

I roll my eyes at her playfully.

"Why don't you discuss this with your cousin hm?" I got up and begin to walk to class again, leaving her sitting on the bench

"This conversation isn't over Scarlet!" Vin yells.

I just waved her off and walked inside the classroom.

"Melo?!"

"Melo!? I know you hear me nigga!"

I felt my earphone being ripped out of my ear, It was Vin being annoying as fuck like always.

"Man, what you want?" I smack my lips

She flips her hair off her shoulders before speaking.

"Prom is in 4 days and you still didn't ask Scar to the damn dance?" she hits me on my arm, scoffing me.

I hold my arm in pain, I glared at her. But then I realized I forgot all about prom, I

throw my head back.

"Fuck! I forgot all about prom, shit slipped my mind."

"Don't beat yourself up about it, it's not too late. You can still ask Scar to be your date and i'm finna help you." Vin puts her hand on my shoulder giving it a squeeze.

She had this smirk on her face, I know she had an idea in mind already.

"Okay, what's your plan?" I asked her.
