"What time is it Summertime it's our vacation What time is it?
Party time, that's right, say it loud
What time is it?" Metri says singing along with the music."The time of our lives, anticipation
What time is it?
Summertime, school's out scream and shout"
"Finally summer's here
Good to be chillin' out
I'm off the clock, the pressure's out .Now my girl's what it's all about." I sing troys part then switching off with Metri.
"Ready for some sunshine
For my heart to take a chance
I'm here to stay, not movin' away
Ready for a summer romance."
"Everybody ready, going crazy, yeah .We're out Come on and let me hear you say it now. Right no-" me and Metri get cut off by the music turning off. Somebody turned off the radio.
"Shut up!" The male voice yelled.
We are heading to our first game. Both of our coaches said we had to watch each other's games, not that we weren't going to in the first place.
The balls were driving us. The car being more cramped then usual because of all the basketball bags.
"Eli you finna get jumped." Gelo said laughing at me and metri's face.
We're just starring at Eli with blank faces. I literally can't believe he tuned off High School Musical.
"What the fu- I mean freak Eli!" Metri corrected herself since she was around parents.
"That was hella annoying yo."
I hit him upside the head. "Ow!"
"You were being hella annoying I thought i should try and turn you off. Oops." I said.
"Were not friends anymore." Eli pouted.
"Oh well." I said shrugging my shoulders.
We get out the car as soon as Lavar parked. Lonzo was following us to the game. We all walked into the gym and camera started flashing.

They were taking pictures of the ball boys and Eli of course. Some people were asking 'who are those girls.' Other says 'Melo and that chick are cute.'
"You ready babe?" Melo asked me. I was lacing up my shoes.
"Yeah but I'm hella nervous." I said looking at him.
"Don't be. You got skill more skill than people who been playing since they was jitts."
"Yeah and you was taught by the best." Metri said talking about herself. "We gotta go the the locker room thought."
"I'll see you after the game." Melo said giving me a kiss.
"Good luck lil dude." Eli said as we do our handshake. "Let's eat Metri."
"You got this best friend. Metri you better drop one hundred." Gelo said.
"I came all the way from UCLA for this. Y'all better win." Lonzo yelled after us.
"Come one Kaylee and Metri! You two are the last ones!" Coach yelled making us run so we wouldn't get in anymore trouble.
In the locker rooms we talked game plans and my coach gave us an encouraging speech. After we got into our huddle we walked back out the the court.
By this time the gym was full most likely because they wanted to watch the boys game next. Seats go fast at chino hills.
The music was playing loudly and the other team was shooting. They looked good making me even more nervous.
"Aye chill out. Worry about yo game. You gonna sike yourself out." Metri said giving me advice.
I just nodded. We got Into a lay up line and started warming up. After that we did shooting from the three point line.
I was making a lot of shots. The music was calming even if it was trap music.

I'm watching the girls warm up with my team I'm surrounded by my team. Gelo on the left of me.
I'm leaning on Zo who is sitting right above me. O is sitting next to Zo and Eli is to the right of Zo. Dijon is still to the right of me.
"How you think they gonna do?" Zo asked.
"They gon do good. Better than last year." O said. "Last season they were horrible. They had no shooters or anyone who could play defense."
"You right. Kaylee, Metri and I hate to say it but Victoria are gonna lead this team." Gelo said.
I can tell he was staring at Metri. I don't know why he doesn't just ask her out or on a date. He crazy.
Them Look at Me by Xxxtentacion Comes on. This song is so hype to be honest. The whole gym was either vibing to the song or dancing.
"Yo look at them fools." Zo said laughing
We all looked and it's was Kaylee singing and dancing. She wasn't even shooting anymore.
"I'm like bitch who is your mans can't keep my d**k in my pants aye my bitch don't love me no more she kicked me out in like vro." It was funny watching Kaylee dance but she was getting it.
Her and Metri were both dancing and Metri did a dance move and almost fell making everyone laugh. Kaylee threw her head back in laughter.
"Kaylee! Metri get back in line." There coach said.
They both ran back to there lines. Every time they looked at each other they would bust out laughing.
"Kaylee and Metri are fools bro." Zo said laughing at them throwing basketballs at the hoop instead of shooting them.
"They really are. They never stop laughing. Kaylee laughs at everything while Metri is the one saying stupid shit."
"Alright ladies and gentleman we will be starting in about 5 minutes."
The starers sit one the bench. Three of the five being Metri, Victoria and Kaylee. The rest of the team stands in two lines and one person stands at the end.
The cheerleaders are cheering and the stands are getting loud. The light go off and they announcer says the first person on the other team.
"Welcoming ..." I toon out the announcer.
You got this baby.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
