That's all we been hearing since we got to school. I don't mind because me and Melo do look cute with our matching clothes.

"Bro Kaylee everyone is asking if you and Melo go together. You the talk of the school."

"Yeah I heard. Everyone is like omg y'all so cute."

"Y'all are. Ion know why y'all just don't date already."

"We've only known each other for a month M."

"What he likes me? For real?" I say with wide eyes.

"I think he does."

"Ion even know if I like him like that." I said not looking at her. Cause I know if I look at her she would see that I was lying.

"You don't know if you like who like what?" A familiar voice said from behind me.

A arm landed around my shoulder and pulled me closer to them.

"Just some of the girls that want me to try out for the Basketball team." I rush making up a semi believable lie.

"I think you should. Even Lonzo said you could ball."

"I said I'd think about it."

"Good. Now let's hurry up to the lunch room so we can eat. I'm hungry." He said pulling my hand.

He so skinny but eats a whole lot of food. How is the possible ? You'd think he doesn't eat anything but in reality he eats everything.

"Wassup kiddos." Metri said to the lunch table.

"Were older than you ." Gelo said.

"Hold up why is she sitting here?" I look around the table to see that Victoria chick sitting across from me.

"Who knows. She just came up and sat down." O said .

"Is there a problem princess?" Victoria said sarcastically.

"Yes peasant there is." I said back.

"Who's the peasant? You must be talking to your little side kick." Victoria said pointing to Metri.

The think about Metri is she has anger issues. Something tiny will turn into something big with her.

"Y'all better get ya little first before I stick my fist down her throat and rip out her vocal cords."

"Is that a threat?" Victoria said. She was obviously in edge.

"No babygirl. It's a promise."

A chorus of "oh's"

"Who she calling a bitch?" Metri said looking at me.

"Ion know but I can't be you." I said laughing at her face.

"I'm glad we on the same page." Metri said.

Little girl you ain't gonna put your hands on me."

"Well then you must not know who she is . Cause if that one thing I know about Kaylee I know she ain't scared to fight nobody." Melo said sticking up for me.

"So you're gonna take her side? Over mine?" She said looking offended.

"Yes bitch because he's not your mans. I don't know why you think he is but he isn't." I yell at her.

"And he's yours?"

"No. Well I mean our text messages say other wise but you know that non of your business now is it?" I say sitting back down in my seat and intertwining my hand with Melos.

"So is that a yes to being my girlfriend?" Melo whispered in my ear.

"I can't say yes to something if you haven't asked me anything." I say nonchalantly keeping my eyes on a seething Victoria.

"Playing hard to get? I think that why I like you so much." He said.

I had to keep a smile from coming on my face.

"I'm not playing hard to get I am hard to get." I say and LaMelo kisses me on my cheek.

"Y'all cute." Metri said.

"I know." I say laughing back and I wink and Victoria making her even madder.

This is just getting better and better.

"We should go to the mall." Metri said.

"We really should." Melo said.

"Who's driving?" Gelo said. "Cause Ion want to."

"Rock paper scissors." Lonzo said. "I'm not trynna drive either.

"I would drive but I don't have my a license yet." I said.

"You got a permit?" Lonzo said.

"Yeah why?"

"Let's ride." Gelo said giving me his keys. "Just please don't hurt my baby."

"I got you." I said . When I got in the car I had to scoot the seat all the way up since Gelo has it all the way back.

"Oh my god Kaylee you are so short." Lonzo said from behind me.

All three boys were in the back seat and Gelo looked so uncomfortable.

"Scoot yo chair up Metri." Gelo said from behind her.

"This is as far as I can go. Remember my legs are kinda long."

"Well this ain't gonna work then."

"Y'all always hating bout my short legs but I bet you wished yo legs was short now."

I start in engine and start to back out until Gelo yells stop. "Kaylee be careful please."

"Oh my god LiAngelo I won't hurt yo car." I said.

I continue backing out and we got on the road. The mall was about 35 minutes away from the Ball house.

"Is this illegal?" LaMelo said from the middle.

"No cause I'm over 18." Lonzo said.

"Wait how did you get your permit so early?" Melo said. "I couldn't get mine till I was 15."

"I got my ways." I said laughing.

"Keep your eyes on the road Kaylee!" Gelo yelled.

"Chill out Gelo. We haven't crashed yet have we? I'm going the speed limit and I'm doing fine."

He seems to relax after that. For the rest of the ride everyone just talked about stupid stuff.

"Kaylee you know who fine?" Metri said scrolling on Instagram.

"Micheal porter jr." Metri said showing me a picture of him.

Of course I already knew who that was but I couldn't agree more.

"You right . He fine as hell" I said looking back to the road. "You know he followed me and DM'd me."

"For real? When?" She said giving me her full attention.

"Like two days ago. He said hey with two heart eyes." I said showing what the messages.(Let's pretend he's single.)

"Get some Kaylee." Metri said laughing.

"Did you reply?" Melo said sitting up in his seat.

"Yeah. " I said nonchalantly. " I just said wassup."

"How long yall text for?"

"All night."

"Do y'all still text?" Melo asked.

"Yeah." I said. My phone buzzed . "That him right now."

"He gave you his number?" Lonzo asked.

"Yeah. Instagram was glitching. Why y'all so on edge?"

"Well because one your texting the Micheal Porter Jr. and two you and Melo got a thing going on." Gelo said.

"Yeah what he said." Melo said.

"Melo don't act like you don't be texting other girls. I know you be texting Victoria. I know you be texting Nikki too." I said. "If we were to ever get serious I would be mad but I'm not cause we aren't serious as of right now."

"Facts." Metri said.

"You don't gotta cut off yo hoes either." I said. "I'm not tripping you can text who ever you want."

"But if we were to actually start getting serious then I would knock yo shit."

"I respect that." Melo said chilling out.

"Ain't Isabella coming?" Lonzo said.

"Sadly." LaMelo said.

"Who's Isabella and why don't Melo like her?"

"Isabella my girlfriend an-" me and Metri both sit him off.

"Girlfriend? You got a girlfriend?" I said looking at Metris face.

"Yeah I do." He said not sounding to happy.

"Why you sound so ...bleh?" Metri said.

"I love her I do but she just so annoying and hella clingy."

"Break up with her." Metri said.

I could tell she was jealous. I know she has a little crush in LiAngelo.

"Ion know if i wanna do that just yet." He said.

I park the car and we all get out and start walking in the mall.

"Imma get a new pair of shoes." I tell Metri.

"I haven't decided my parents gave me one hundred but -"

"Oh my god hey guys. Ive been looking for you everywhere." A tall brunette came running up to us.

"Hey babe." Gelo said unenthusiastically.

"Hey I'm Isabella but my friends call me izzy."

"Hi Isabella I'm Metri."

"I'm Kaylee." I give her a smile.

"I'm Denise." I shorter blond said. She must me Zo's girl.

"Nice to meet you."

"Do your friends call you anything different?"

"Yeah they just call me D."

"Okay D." Metri said looking at Isabella.

"Stop being petty."

"I don't know don't what your talking about." Metri said walking off.

"Who you texting?" I asked Melo.

"Victoria. She asked me to help her with homework."

"Micheal." I said.

We stopped talking for a while but ended up laughing.

"Where we going?" Melo said putting his arms around my shoulder.

"To footlocker and beyond."
