Rubi and I are currently parked in front of the police station. Rubi and I were both uncomfortably staring towards the building. I don't want to do it, and I'm sure she doesn't either, but it has to be done. My phone rang when I was engrossed in my thoughts. It was a text message from Manny, so I grabbed my phone.

The evidence against me should be kept in the evidence room. Make certain you grabbed everything for me and that nothing is left behind mama.

Text Message Sent At 11:15pm

I slid my phone back into my pocket after reading Manny's message and turned to face Rubi. She was still nervous, and I can understand why. We're about to take evidence from a police station, which can get us in a lot of trouble.

"Are you ready to get this shit over with?" I asked.

Rubi gave me a look that said, "What the fuck?" "Hell no, girl; we're about to steal evidence from a police station. If we're caught, we'll probably be locked up for a few of years."

I rolled my eyes and took out my binoculars to peek into the police station. I noticed three officers inside the police station. They're probably on the late shift. To avoid being caught, Rubi and I must devise a clever strategy.

"Rubi, I'd like you to divert their attention while I search for evidence."

Rubi let out a sigh and rubbed her temple. "I'm not sure how I'm going to do that."

To help me come up with a plan, I began taping the steering wheel. "I want you to go inside and tell them your car broke down or something and you need assistance while I go hide."

Rubi sighed deeply. "Alright, let's just hurry up and get this over with."

I nodded and was about to exit the vehicle when I began to feel strange, so I grabbed the door handle. Rubi snatched my shoulder and locked her gaze on me.

"Are you okay? Are you certain we should go ahead with this right now?"

I moved Rubi's hands away from my shoulder. "I'm fine. Let's get going and-"

I opened the door quickly and began vomiting before I could finish my sentence. I leaned back in my seat after puking. I looked over at Rubi, who was looking at me with concern.

"Girl, fuck this bullshit, I have to get you home. Manny and Spooky can come down here and do this shit."

"Rubi, I'm fine. After puking, I actually felt a little better. Go ahead and distract those cops while I go inside." I jumped out of the car and dashed to the side of the building where it was pitch black.

Rubi walked slowly to the door, and I could tell she was hesitant to open it. She paused at the door for a moment, looking at me, and I nodded, motioning her to proceed. She went inside after opening the door. I can hear her talking about the car to them. I heard them all walking out of the building a minute later. I noticed Rubi and the officers approaching the car. I quickly snatched on my ski mask and dashed inside before they could notice me.

I quickly began scanning the area to see if I could locate the room containing the evidence. I went through at least four doors before reaching the evidence room. When I twisted the lock, I realized it was locked. I began to panic and looked for something to open the door.

I began digging in my pocket and discovered a bobby pin. I started looking at the bobby pin, wondering how I was going to open the door with it. This is something I've seen people in movies do, and it always works for them. I inserted the bobby pin into the lock and began to pick it. It nearly took me 5 minutes to unlock the door. I heard a noise coming from the bathroom before I could open the door.

I quickly hide behind something when I notice another officer walking out. I need to get these evidences before I get caught. I dashed back to the evidence room as soon as the officer walked out of my line of sight. I quickly opened the door, activated my phone's flash, and began searching through all of the evidence they had on people.

I spent about ten minutes looking for evidence on Manny. I finally found all of Manny's evidence and quickly closed the draw back. I relocked the door so they wouldn't know someone had come inside, and then I left out of the room.

When I looked out the window, I noticed that one officer was inside the car, and three others were peering under the hood. Rubi raised her head and motioned for me to come out. She's probably telling me to come on out because they're not paying attention. I dashed out the door and hid on the building's side where they couldn't see me.

I noticed that one of the officers turned around and looked around. The officer most likely heard me run out of the building.

The officer placed their hand on the gun. "Did you hear what I heard?"

I leaned back against the brick wall, hoping they wouldn't notice me hiding. When I poke my head out, I see that Rubi has closed the car hood on the officers.

"Thank you so much for your assistance. I'd hate to be out here alone at this late hour." Rubi said to them, nervously smiling.

One of the officers smiled as he got out of the car. "No problem, just make sure you change your oil and have those two back tires checked. You should be fine."

"I'll handle it, officer. Have a wonderful night, everyone." Rubi waved goodbye as they walked away.

Damn I had no idea I needed an oil change or that my back tires needed to be checked. I'm glad I found out now because I would have hated to be stuck on the side of the road waiting for someone to come pick me up because my tires had blown out or whatever.

One of the officers told around before Rubi could get in the car. "And also, keep yourself hydrated by sucking on ice chips or frozen fruit pops."

Rubi looked at the officer, perplexed. "How come you're telling me this?"

The officer began pointing to something. "I see you puked on the side of the car. Make an appointment to have yourself checked out. Have a good night."

Rubi chuckled as she looked at the vomit. "Oooh, I see. I'm going to get myself checked out. Thank you for your help."

They all eventually returned inside. Rubi gave me a look and motioned for me to come on. I dashed towards the car and climbed inside. She cranked up the engine and drove away.

Rubi took several glances at me and then back at the road. "Did you discover the evidence?"

I take the evidences from my jacket. "Of course I discovered it. Pull over here to this deserted parking lot and let me see what they've got on him."

Rubi did as she was instructed, and we turned on the car inside light and began reading the papers. We found Manny's mugshot and all of his personal information when we opened the folder. We then learn that they had information on him for the murder of several people. They also have evidence that he sent drugs to multiple countries. They've got his DNA and everything. They were about to take his ass down, but I noticed they didn't have any evidence of him murdering Jayda.

"Damn, they got pretty much everything on Manny." Rubi continued to rummage through the papers.

I'm still looking through the papers. "Shit, I see why he needed me to steal this shit so badly. This is absurd."

Rubi gave me a perplexed look. "How did they get such detailed information on him? Manny seemed astute enough to cover his tracks, in my opinion."

I cast a curious glance at Rubi. "To be honest, I believe someone is snitching on him because I know Manny is covering all of his tracks. It's unbelievable how they got almost all of his information."

"I'm relieved they don't have any shit on my man." Rubi stated this while sticking her entire tongue out.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Shut up, they probably do, but they probably don't have as much information on him as Manny."

I keep going through all of the information. These officers are desperate to bring Manny down. Rubi turned off the car light out of now where while I was still reading, and I was curious why she did so. My face was balled up as I looked at her.

"Why would you turn off the light while I'm reading, girl? That's just petty ass shit."

Rubi sighed and rolled her eyes. "Bitch, shut up. I turned off the lights because that guy over there looks like Manny."

I followed her gaze, and it appears that Manny was standing outside of his car. He appears to be waiting for someone. He was parked a good distance from us. I set the paper down on my lap and looked at him, wondering what he was doing over there.

I gave Rubi a rough pat on the shoulder. "Please turn off the car headlights; I don't want him to notice us."

Rubi turned off the lights quickly. "Damn alright, it's the roughness for me."

We kept looking at him, but he was just smoking weed on the side of his car. Rubi and I looked at each other, perplexed.

"What is he doing over there?" Rubi inquired.

I sighed and shrugged. "Shit, he's probably about to do a drug deal or something."

Rubi looked at me, mystified. "I'm not the brightest person on the planet, but if he was doing that, wouldn't he have Spooky with him for backup?"

I shook my head once more. "I'm not sure, but you have a point. Perhaps he wanted to do it by himself this time. I'm not sure. We'll just have to wait and see."

We waited for a while, but no one showed up. We waited a little longer before someone pulled up and parked on the side of his car. The car was a black BMW, so I assumed it was a man getting out of it. I noticed a woman getting out of the car when the door opened. My heart began to pound, and my blood began to boil, because why are you meeting up with a woman at this hour? Most importantly, why are you meeting up with a woman while I'm out here risking my life for you?

The girl had a yellow skin tone and long black silky hair. She was a little short and had a small body fame. They started hugging and smiling at each other. I wanted to get out of this car and beat the crap out of both of them, but I kept my cool.

Rubi is staring at me intently. "You'd better get them before I do, because I'm going to hurt their feelings."

I sat back in my chair, trying not to lose my cool. "Nah, I'm straight. Allow him to do his thing."

Rubi gave me a wide-eyed stare. "Are you stupid or dumb, hoe? There's no way you're going to let them akekeke in each other face like that."

I keep a straight face as I continue to stare at them. "Let's head home. I've seen enough."

Rubi turned on the car light again and drove towards the house. I'm not even going to tell you a lie. I'm furious at Manny right now because you tricked me into sneaking into the police station and stealing vital evidence while you laughed in some girl face. Manny has me messed up if he thinks he can play me. We can play games if he wants to.

I gradually opened my eyes and began to awaken. I tried to get out of bed and stretch, but I felt like my body was being restrained. When I turned over, I noticed Manny had his eyes closed and was holding me down. I looked at him with a disgusted expression on my face. I don't want him touching me because he's out here hugging other hoes. I tried to get up and go to the bathroom, but he held me tighter.

"Mama, where are you going?" Manny inquired, his voice drowsy.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "I'm attempting to use the restroom. I persuaded you that you want me to pee on you."

He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Shit you did that before, if you get what I mean."

I sucked my teeth and gathered enough strength to push him away. "Boy, please let me the fuck go. I don't have time for your jokes today."

"I'm going to assume you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and disregard that attitude shit." Manny stated.

I shrugged my shoulders, grabbed my phone, and walked into the bathroom. I shut and locked the bathroom door so he wouldn't come behind me. I sat down on the toilet and started using it while on my phone. I started looking through Tik Tok and other social media apps.

I was sitting on the toilet and thought to myself, "I should text Trevante and tell him we can go out for breakfast and talk about us," because Manny wanted to talk to other hoes." It's unfortunate that I'm only hitting Trevante to reclaim my lick back, but he'll be fine. I went through my text messages and texted Trevante to arrange a breakfast meeting.

Hi, would you like to meet for breakfast and talk?

I put my phone on the sink and turned on the shower after closing it. I started taking off my underwear and bra as the shower heated up. I put my hand in the shower to see if it had warmed up, and it had, so I jumped in and started showering for at least 10 minutes.

After that, I exited and wrapped a towel around my body. I stood over the sink and started putting toothpaste on my toothbrush and brushing my teeth. While I was doing that, my phone rang, and when I looked at the screen, I saw that Trevante had texted me back.

Bet. I'll come whenever and wherever you want me to. I'll be there. Just let me know.

Text Message Sent at 10:40am

I smiled and began texting him where we should meet and what time we should arrive. After that, I put down my phone and resumed brushing my teeth. When I finished brushing my teeth, I unlocked the door and returned to the room. Manny was still sleeping when I looked at him. I really want to choke his ass into a coma.

I turned away from Manny and began walking towards my clothes, hoping to find a cute little outfit to wear. I finally found something I liked after about 5 minutes. I wiped the water off my body and put on my underwear and bra. I then started lotioning and applying deodorant to my body.

After that, I put on the clothes I had found, as well as some cute shoes. I dashed back into the bathroom and began doing my hair and makeup. Today I decided to go with blonde hair. Blonde is a good color for me. I went back into my room after I finished my hair and makeup and began putting on my jewelry.

I could hear Manny waking up while I was putting on my jewelry. I sucked my teeth, knowing he's about to start.

"Where the fuck are you going?" Manny inquired, his voice sleepy and aggressive.

While putting on my earrings, I rolled my eyes. "I'm leaving for breakfast."

Manny stood up and stretched his legs. "What's the fucking point of getting all dressed up if you're just going to get some breakfast? Plus we have food in the kitchen."

I began spritzing perfume on my clothes. "Manny I'm not about to do this shit with you. I'm going to get some breakfast, as I previously stated. I'll be right the fuck back."

Manny clenched his jaw and rubbed his irritated face. "Man, I don't like your attitude. Where is this shit coming from?"

I took my purse and phone and walked past him, ignoring his question. He should understand why I'm upset. It's strange that he hasn't mentioned who he met with last night. Manny picked me up and threw me on the bed before I could even open the door. See, this is about to irritate me. Why is he doing this? He's ruining my outfit and hair.

He pinched both of my upper arms above my head. He had a mean mug on his face as he looked at me. I tried to break free from his grip, but he's too strong as usual.

"I swear to God, Manny, if you don't let me go." I said to him.

Manny gripped me even more tightly. "You swear to God what? I swear I could do this all day. Now tell me something, are you meeting up with someone? Because there's no way I'm going to believe that you're just going to get breakfast dressed like that."

I rolled my eyes and averted my gaze from his face because I didn't want to look at him. He snatched my face and forced me to look at him.

He locked his gaze on me even more intently. "You'd better tell me something before I spazz the fuck out. I'm not playing with your ass."

I attempted to push him off of me. "Man, I'm not going back and forth with you. Let me up, you're doing way too much."

Manny chuckled as he looked at me for a second. "Alright bet, let me find out some shit na."

I shrugged. "You'll just have to find out."

Manny was about to stand up when he gave me a quick look. "What did you say?"

I tried to push him away from me once more. "Boy, let me get the fuck out of here."

He shook his head and slowly rose to his feet, pointing at me. "Keep on with your smart shit. I'ma dig right on your shit."

I stood up and straightened my hair and clothing. "Boy, whatever."

I gathered my belongings and walked out of the room, brushing past Manny. When I walked out, I just knew he was staring at me intently. It's funny how he can hang out with hoes but he doesn't like it when I do. I swear, men are strange creatures. I entered the kitchen after walking downstairs.

I wanted to get something to drink and snack on while I'm driving to the location where I told Trevante and me to meet. While I was making myself a drink, I quickly turned on the television to see what was on the news. When I turned on the news, the meteorologist were discussing the weather.

I was going to turn off the television because I didn't want to hear about the weather. As I was about to press the power button, one of the news reporters announced breaking news, which drew my attention.

"While exploring the desert, a couple came across a body. They claimed to have smelled something foul and seen a flock of birds flying overhead. They mistook it for a dead animal, but it was actually a dead body. Officers told us that the body had been sitting there for at least two weeks. The identity of the body has yet to be determined. Please contact us if you have any information about this homicide."

As soon as I heard the news reporter say desert, I spit out my drink because I know exactly whose body that is. I know it's Demarcus body that's been discovered. The bird probably ate half of his body anyway, which is why they couldn't identify him.. If the officers found his body, I'm confident they'll find Jada's body as well.

I sincerely hope and pray that I am not implicated in his murder. I quickly turned off the television and gathered my belongings before heading for the door. I heard a knock before I could even walk out the door. My heart sank as I opened the door.

"Can I speak with you for a moment? It isn't going to take long. I see you're about to leave, so I'll get it done quickly." With a smile on his face, the detective stated.
