Everyone is currently eating breakfast in the kitchen. We awoke early because Celina suggested we go to the beach and enjoy our final day here. Aleah was no longer here because Manny had told her to leave, but his son remained with him.

I'm glad to be leaving because I don't have time for Manny's baby mother insecurities, but I'm also pissed because I know I'll have to do a lot of things for Manny once I get back to LA, and that detective might start questioning me again, and all of that annoying stuff. Except for Spooky, everyone was still getting their food. He was the first to finish his meal.

Spooky entered the living room and placed his feet on the coffee table. "Aye, Celina, what's popping on TV?"

Celina cast a death glare at Spooky. "If you don't take your feet off my table, I'll be popping the shit out of you."

"I apologize, ma'am." Spooky mumbled.

We all burst out laughing, and Spooky quickly removed his feet from the table.

Spooky continues to change channels. When he turned on the news channel, the breaking news sound drew everyone's attention. Santiago's picture appeared on the screen. Spooky, Rubi, Manny, and I exchanged glances.

"Breaking News: The biggest drug dealer in Mexico, Santiago Pope, has been found murdered in his own home. A couple of other people were discovered dead on the scene by the police officer. Witnesses said Santiago was having a pool party when they heard shots and saw people fleeing his home. Please contact us right away if you have any information about this murder." According to the news reporter.

Spooky raised the remote to the television, indicating that he is about to turn it. "I'm pretty sure this isn't significant."

"Wait a minute, isn't that dad's enemy?" Camila said, perplexedly pointing to the television.

Celina turned to face Manny. "Manny, this better not be the pool party you guys mentioned the other night?"

I face palm myself because I can tell this is going to turn into an argument. Manny was sipping his drink, indicating that he was unconcerned about his mother's question.

"So what if it is? What happened to him was his fault." Manny said with a shrug of his shoulders.

Danny gave Manny a sidelong glance. "Do you mean to tell me you went and took care of some business without me?"

Manny clenched his teeth. "I didn't want you to get hurt."

Miguel looked around, perplexed. "How come I didn't go? I was all set to blow somebody shit back."

Spooky frowned at Miguel, as if he were a stupid. "What made you ask such a stupid question? You're practically a fugitive from justice."

Miguel raised his brows and stretched his neck. "Oh shit, I forgot foo."

With a "the fuck" expression on our faces, we all looked at Miguel. Danny shifted his focus back to Manny.

"Don't play that shit with me; I want to run this business as badly as you do. You just want to take control of everything by yourself so that pops can give everything to you." Danny remarked.

Manny stood up and approached Danny. "He technically delegated everything to me already because he believes I am capable of running the business better than you. What was the total number of motherfuckas you killed? What was the total number of drugs you sold? What was the total amount of money you laundered? You have no right to tell me shit. You messed up so many missions in the past that you can't even count the shit on your fingers."

Danny stood up and was about to fight Manny, but Carlos stepped in between them.

"Stop it, you two." Carlos then turned to face Manny. "Your brother is correct. You could have brought him with you. He deserves to be a part of this business just like you."

Celina stepped in front of them. "Papa, why would you even encourage something like this? Manny came here to avoid the FBI in Los Angeles. If the FBI in Los Angeles discovers that he is involved in this. He's going to prison on a slew of charges. I'm not sure why your father didn't have one of his men do it. Manny, did you even tell him about your problems in LA?"

Manny gave Celina a blank expression. "No, and he has no need to know. He told me to take Santiago out, and I did. Santiago cheated pops, and he got what he deserved. This concludes the discussion."

Danny burst out laughing. "You didn't tell him because you knew if you did, he'd be disappointed that the FBI had some information on you."

Manny was about to punch Danny when Celina intervened, and Carlos continued to restrain Danny.

"All right, that's enough. You two are far too big for this. Your son is literally standing right here, witnessing this behavior. Now this needs to be hugged out. You're brothers, so act like it." Carlos stated as he looked at Manny and Danny.

Manny turned to face his son, who was staring at them with sad eyes. Manny looked at Danny and slowly approached him, hugging him. Danny didn't seem to want to hug Manny at first, but he did. They parted away from each other, and Camila got up and looked at the both of them.

"Enough with the drug talk, you guys. Let's go to the beach for a little fresh air. I don't want us to get into a fight on your last day here." Camila hugged both of her brothers as she said this.

Manny rolled his eyes and pushed Danny in a playful manner. "I'm sorry for not allowing you to participate in the mission. I want you to get that duffle bag out of my room and take it to pops warehouse before I leave."

Danny rubbed the spot where Manny had shoved him. "All right, bruh. I gotchu."

Rubi snatched her belongings and dashed out the door. "Ok, then, let's go."

We all gathered our belongings and started walking to the nearest beach. Me, Rubi, and Camila were walking on the beach, while Manny was playing with his son and Celina and Carlos were relaxing in their beach chairs, taking in the view. Spooky, Miguel, and Danny were smoking weed and chilling.

"Hey Angel, could you please take my picture right quick?" Camila said as she handed me her phone.

I gave her a nod and snatched her phone from her hands. Camila quickly knelt in the sand and posed for the camera. I took my time and took pictures of her for her.

She rose from the ground and snatched her phone from my grip. She began to smile at the phone, indicating that she liked the photo.

"Oh, these are so cute." Camila said.

Rubi handed me her phone. "Well, since we're taking pictures and shit. Come on over here and take mine now."

I took Rubi's phone from her. "You guys really believe I'm your photographer, huh? And one of you bitches better snap a picture of me as well."

Rubi walked over to a beach chair and posed for a photo. I took several pictures of her, then returned her phone, and she began smiling as she looked at them. I'm guessing she's pleased with how hers turned out as well.

"I swear nobody never seeing me in the body category. Whether dead or alive. I promise you that, but please take another of me." Rubi said this while poking her ass out.

"Girl, you're not seeing Teyana Taylor and me in the body category." I told her this while laughing and taking her picture.

Spooky began yelling at Rubi before she could say anything to me. "Don't think I can't see your ass, Rubi. Straighten up before I get on your ass."

Rubi sucked her teeth and snatched her phone from my grasp. "Oh, he really gets on my nerves."

Camila burst out laughing. "I'm glad I'm single because I don't have time for controlling stuff."

Rubi rolled her eyes. "Girl, he's not in charge of anything over here."

I handed over my phone to Rubi. "Enough with the chit-chat; take my picture because it's my turn now."

I sat in the sand, ready to take my picture. Rubi began to make a stank face at me. I returned the same look.

"Why are you staring at me like that, girl?" I inquired.

"What the fuck are you doing with that big ass hat? You look stupid." Rubi stated.

"Hoe, leave me and my hat alone. I don't see how you can hate from outside of the club when you can't even get in." I stated.

We all burst out laughing, and Rubi snapped several photos of me. I got up and started looking at them, and I like them a lot. Since we're talking about my hat, it is a little large, but it's still cute.

After all of the photos were taken, we resumed our conversation on the beach. Miguel began yelling our names a few minutes later. When we looked over at him, we noticed that he was waving us over to come to him.

"Aye, let's play a game of volleyball foo. Girls vs. boys." Miguel let out a shriek.

Camila, Rubi, and I exchanged glances. We exchanged smiles, knowing how excited we were to play volleyball. I mean, it's a little unfair because there are more boys than girls, but I'm confident that we three can beat them. We dashed over to where they were.

Manny, Danny, Miguel, and Spooky had already taken their places. Camila, Rubi, and I placed our belongings near Celina, Carlos, and Marcus. We dashed to the opposite side of the goal and began taking position.

"Whoever loses must swim naked in the ocean." Danny exclaimed, laughing.

Manny gave Danny a threatening glare. "Nah, that bet should be changed. My girl isn't going to get naked in front of y'all."

Manny was brushed aside by Danny. "Dude, stop being a bitch. If that happens, we'll turn away."

Manny was visibly upset by Danny's decision because he was enraged. He doesn't have to be concerned about me getting naked because they'll be the ones to do so.

Miguel tossed the ball to us. "I'll give you guys first dibs."

I nodded and snatched up the ball. To serve the ball, I walked behind the line at the back of the court. I raised my dominant hand in the air and tossed the ball in front of me. I bring my hand closer to my shoulder by bending my elbow. I straighten my elbow and use the outside of my hand to strike the ball.

Camila and Rubi were at the front of the net, ready to stop an attack or spike. Manny, Danny, Miguel, and Spooky all ran after the ball, but it landed in the sand just as they were about to hit it. Camila, Rubi, and I started laughing at them.

Spooky returned the ball to us. "It was just a stroke of luck."

Rubi laughed as she rolled her eyes. "Bye, my sister knew what she was doing."

I re-positioned myself and began to concentrate. I tossed the ball into the air and hit it on the opposite side. Danny was able to hit it this time, and he did so quickly that Rubi and Camila were unable to respond in time. When the ball landed in the sand this time, Danny and the others went insane.

Danny started pounding his chest like a gorilla. "Yeaaaah! I'm built different."

Rubi made a gesture with her middle finger at them. "Yeah, you're built like a fucking cigarette."

Danny burst out laughing. "How come you're so serious?"

Rubi raised her middle finger once more at Danny. This time it was the boys' turn to serve. Danny tossed the ball into the air and hit it straight at us. Camila smacked the ball back on their side with aggressiveness. The ball was then quickly returned to us by Manny.

I rush up to the ball and raise my dominant hand. I leap to my feet and strike the ball with my palm. The ball crossed the net but landed sharply downward, so I'm sure it was difficult for the boys to return it.

Manny squinted his eyes at me as the ball landed in the sand. I smirked at him because I knew he was upset because I had scored.

Rubi guffawed as she pointed to them. "It appears that you guys balls will freeze in the sea."

Manny burst out laughing. "That's not going to happen captain."

I was laughing as well. "We'll see."

"Go Angel!" Marcus screamed, and I heard him.

I turned around to see Marcus waving at me. I also smiled and waved at him. He usually refers to me as friend, so Celina must have told him my name. Manny turned around to see Marcus waving at me again. Incredulous, he looked at Marcus.

"Son, you're supposed to be on your father's side." Manny addressed him.

He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "I'm sorry, daddy."

Manny laughed and shook his head at Marcus. He, like everyone else, repositions himself. The game lasted about 30 minutes, and as you know, I and the girls were victorious. The boys were enraged because they had to go swimming in the frigid water without any clothing on.

Danny rubbed his face, indicating his dissatisfaction. "Damn, I should've made a different bet."

Miguel put his hand on his hips and glared angrily at Danny. "You think? I'm crossing my fingers that a shark doesn't bite my dick off."

Manny also shook his head, indicating his dissatisfaction. "Turn my son around, madre. I don't want him to see this shit."

Celina turned Marcus around, and the boys quickly stripped off their pants and shirts and dashed towards the water. I can hear one of them yelling as they all dove into the ocean. We began to laugh because we knew they were only yelling because the ocean water was extremely cold. When you make a bad bet, this is what happens.

"Got damn this water cold as shit." Spooky exclaimed as he jogged out of the water.

They all rushed out of the water and started putting on their clothes.

On the beach, we all played and had a good time for several hours. It wasn't long until the sun began to set. When the sun began to drop, everyone went inside, but since it was my last day here, I stayed on the beach to enjoy the view. The wind was blowing gently, and the soothing sounds of the ocean were soothing.

My phone rang when I was admiring the scenery. I noticed it was my mom messaging me something as I looked at the screen. My eyes welled up as I read the message. She sent me an old video of my father dancing.

❤️

I came across this old video of your father. He was such a cheerful soul. I wish he was here to see how mature you've become. He would have been proud of you, but know that I will always love you.

Not you tryna make me cry 🥺 Mommy, I love you as well.

Text Message at 8:04pm

I closed my phone and sobbed a little. I truly miss my father, and I know he would be disappointed in me because I'm falling in love with someone whose family murdered him. I can't control my emotions, and I know he'd want me to know my worth.

As I gazed at the sunset, I found myself crying again. I felt someone behind me wrap their arm around my waist out of nowhere. When I turned my head a little, I noticed it was Manny. His head was propped up against the crock of my neck. He also kissed the back of my neck.

"Mama, why are you crying?" Manny inquired as he rocked me side to side slowly.

I quickly wipe away my tears because I don't want him to see me cry or to know why I'm crying. To be honest, I like Manny on this level. Manny's sweet side was something I never expected to see. I was sick and tired of Manny's cold-hearted and disrespectful side. I hope he stays like this for a while, if not for a long time.

I chuckled softly. "The wind was too strong, and some sand got in my eye."

Manny swung me around, bringing us face to face. "I know you're lying, mama, but if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. I'm sorry if I was a little too harsh with you at first, but I promise I won't do it again. I adore you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. I don't want anyone to get in the way of us. Did you get that?"

I smiled as I wrapped my arm around his neck. "Yeah, you were a little harsh, but I got you, and I want you to know that I love you as well, Papi."

He smirked and kissed me on the lips softly. "Papi, huh? That's a first. I like that shit. When you say in the bedroom, it will sound better."

I laughed and pushed her in a playful manner. "Be quiet. Let's go ahead and pack our belongings because you know we'll be leaving soon."
