"Kurosaki-san is that you?" Kuroko said a bit mockingly but the hostness knew he was just curious. It has been a few weeks after Christmas, the holiday was perfect when the blunet celebrated it with his family and also visited the his lover's mansion.

They were now official when Akashi expressed his love for the blunet and kissed passionately under the mistletoe that was purposely hang inside his study room. It was the 28th day of January and three more days before his birthday.

Oh he felt so old during those celebrations.

Now tomorrow he was going to attend with his son the opening of the new orphanage that the redhead had talked about months ago. To the master's displeased it should have been finished five months after Kuroko left but due to many difficulties along the way they had to finished it with another four months.

"No..." The black-haired said as she adjusted her blouse, it was starting to get itchy and she couldn't wait for her break to change into something more comfortable. "You look so..." Kuroko trailed off as well, he couldn't find the words to say as he stared at the woman in front of him.

Instead of her regular slacks and button-ups, she was wearing a black knee-length skirt and a white long-sleeved blouse that was tucked in her skirt and folded her sleeves up to her elbows. She was very feminine today with her hair parted to the side and braided into a side fish-tail. Her glasses tucked in her left breast pocket. "Don't even finish it. Follow me, Miki-chan must be hungry am I right bear?" She asked as she kneel into the little boy's eye level who smiled up at her in agreement while showing her his stomach that he was rubbing to prove his point. Kurosaki chuckled while ruffling the boy's hair and gestured for them to follow.

"Mikio what do you want for lunch?" Kuroko asked his son who was biting his lip in contemplation. His son pointed at the orange chicken dish and again pointed at a chocolate creme shake. The father nodded as he called the waiter to take their orders.

After ordering, The brunet looked over his father's shoulder to see someone entering the building. His lips curved into a smile as he waved at whoever was near the door.

Kuroko who sensed someone behind him turned his upper body around and was greeted by a small warm peck on the forehead. His cheeks grew hot by the simple contact as he looked to the redhead who was in his business suit, another meeting was finally over.

"Afternoon Tetsuya, Mikio." His smooth voiced made pleasurable shivers dripping down the blunet's spine. A moan was almost slipped past but thankfully it wasn't let out as he saw the waiter who had taken their orders was now carrying their tray of delicious foods.

"Here you go gentlemen," The waiter said as he handed over the bill, Kuroko was about to grabbed it but was too slow to receive as Akashi gave him the right amount for both of the men's meal. The blunet invisibly pouted at him but didn't say anything as the waiter walked off and high-fived Yashida who was going on the opposite direction.

"You know I could've paid for me and my son's meal Akashi-kun." But the said man waved his hand dismissively as they walked to the exit door of the restaurant. "And I wouldn't let you anyway." he said as he stopped in front of a blank-looking hostess who was speaking angrily through the phone but the face said otherwise. "-n't you get someone else? No I'm busy on that day but-It's not hard to find a replacement! There are many women in this city who are willing! I don't care-okay okay you got me-I want it surreal theme and dark grey-Yes alright. Akashi-nii-san what do you want?" The black-haired didn't miss a single beat as she placed her chin on her right hand which was holding the phone that she had clutching like it was going pop for a while now.

"Don't be late." Was all he said as he waved her goodbye, followed by the other people who said their thanks and tried not to questioned what was the conversation on the phone about especially the blunet. "So where are you going to go now?" the redhead asked as he lean on his car.

"We're going to my parent's house. They wanted to spend time with their grandson for a bit before I take him back to Grandmother's." Akashi nodded as he opened the door to let them in, the brunet on blunet's lap despite he was growing big each day. "How about you?" Akashi whispered quite seductively when he sped off from his lover's parents' house.

Kuroko squirmed. "At home, checking if I got in to become an official teacher." The redhead hummed as he let his hand gently trailing his lover's thigh, teasing him a bit that made the blunet's breath hitched by the growing deep pounding of his heart.

"Stop!"

"Now why would I?"

"The light's green!" Kuroko didn't mean to shout but somehow he did as he frantically pointed at the stoplight to be in fact green and faint sounds of the cars at the back blaring. The redhead sighed disappointedly but continued driving until they reached the blunet's apartment.

Akashi wondered why he didn't stayed in one of the two houses owned by his parents, probably for privacy matters as he parked across the entry gate of the apartment. "Are you going to bring Mikio?" The redhead asked, Kuroko immediately what he meant.

The opening.

"Yes, I've asked him earlier." And the boy could only nod his head with a big toothy smile on his face. "Alright, I'll see you later then. I love you Tetsuya." He leaned down and kissed him deeply before pulling away and smiled at him gently.

Kuroko gulped, "Goodbye Akashi-kun." Then he went out of the car not before pecking him hastily on the cheek.

He knew he couldn't say those words.

He was still afraid.

He knew in the bottom of his heart that he can overcome and say those three words to the redhead all over again, everyday and perhaps to the end of time.

Oh what a surreal thought.

Many hours after, there he was in a slim fitted navy blue suit with a black tie and shoes. He adjusted his collar before he grabbed his needed things and went out of his room to see his son in a green tuxedo with brown leather shoes. He went to picked his son up a little few minutes ago and quickly dressed since he already showered before he took a cab to get his son.

"I'm done." That made the brunet looked up from his drawing book and smiled lovingly at his father. He was surely handsome in the suit that his grandmother had picked for him, It complemented his father's hair and eyes and made his pale skin glow seemingly.

He hid his drawing book and took his father's hand as they walked out of the apartment. His parents were going to be late since they were visiting an old friend of theirs outside of the city and won't be back until eleven in the evening, his grandmother on the other hand was at home playing poker with her neighbors even though she was over seventy. She was a master at card games gambling or not.

"Don't leave my side Mikio unless you're with someone I know." The blunet said to the boy when they entered the three-story building, for an orphanage it was very big and it was only the common room. The brunet nodded his head and walked closely to his father.

"KUROKOCCHI~!"

Oh my.

the said man turned around to see a charging blonde running towards him. He quickly pushed his son away gently following the lead the blonde tripped when he was a few centimeters away from the men. "Why?" Kise whined as he rubbed the sore spot on his body.

Kuroko simply looked at him as he tilted his head at him. "You're an Idiot Kise-kun." He said with no whatsoever remorse and hesitation. Kise cried faked crocodile tears as he started rambling things that the people inside could barely care about.

'Poor Kise-kun,' The child thought sadly.

"OI Kuroko!" Again he looked up to where he heard his name being called and saw a familiar group. All of the people he worked before three years ago were in amazing suits or tuxedos and dresses. "It's nice-" He didn't finished his sentence as everyone pulled him to a very big group hug.

Many voices were everywhere and Kuroko couldn't decipher what they were all saying until one unified shout, "YOU HAVE A SON?!"

Oh,

Kuroko blinked back at them blankly, "Yes." And he heard loud gasps coming from the two ladies who used to worked as his lover's maids. "Is that your son?" Izuki asked as he bended to the brunet's eye level and began having a nice conversation with him, although it was pretty much one-sided as the raven-haired continued talking to the mute child. Everyone stared at the two except for Kagami and Kuroko who began conversing to themselves as well, "You didn't tell them?"

"Nope, thought it would be funny seeing their expressions." Kagami grinned and the blunet mentally rolled his eyes. "Is he mute or something?" Aomine asked as he wrapped his arm around the blonde man who was blushing faintly by the contact.

"He-"

"Kuroko," He froze, he felt his mind was blank instantly by the voice who called him yet again. He turned around and saw the silver-haired in his probably best evening suit and standing beside him was a black haired lady in a long-sleeved dark grey dress that reached down to her knees and dark grey ballet flats with white swirls coating it. She was wearing a mask, matching her flats, covering her her upper part of her face leaving her lips, cheeks and nose exposed.

" Mayuzumi-kun..." He trailed off, and he felt his group of friends behind him with, he bet, angry expressions. "Good evening everyone, I see that the whole group is here except for one more head." He said simply and smiled at the blunet, the eyes he once saw with jealously and lust were no more and replacing them was a light grey of calm and genuine serenity.

"What are you doing here?" He heard Mibuchi asked who was been quiet for quite some time now. "Well Akashi invited me of course, I couldn't say no since I have nothing better to do for this week." Mayuzumi replied.

"Why would Akashi invite you?!" Aomine and Kagami said in the same time, both growling in distaste. "Why don't you asked him then? I'm sure he wouldn't invited me out of-"

"Chihiro glad you came."

All of them turned to looked at the redhead in a simple black pin-stripped suit but it complemented his body and face perfectly. "Glad you could invited me Akashi, I have to say you did well on the construction I'm sure the kids would feel very much at home." He smirked and the redhead nodded his head in gratitude.

"Well, I must go now since those people behind you want to ripped me apart." Mayuzumi laughed carelessly as he waved at the people in front of him and tugged the lady beside to moved as they left. Akashi had only a smirked plastered on his face when the lady and him locked eyes for a brief moment and the lady glared at him like she was telling him to be quiet.

"WHY DID-" "Be mature everyone, I invited him for business reasons. So don't think I have fully forgive him for what he has done in the past." His tone was demanding and cold as his mismatched eyes eyed each and every one of their faces. "Tetsuya could you come with me?"

Kuroko looked at his son and nodded at him, signaling him that he should be with his circle of friends for a bit as he walked out with Akashi holding his hand as they did. They were now at the back part of the orphanage outside of the common room. The redhead gestured his lover to seat at the swing set and he did without question and looked to his right to see Akashi sitting beside him.

Hands still intertwined.

"Why did you brought me here." And for the first time Akashi answered with a smile saying, "I don't know." The blunet could only blinked at him in disbelief.

By the looks of Kuroko, the redhead laughed as he leaned in quickly and pecked his sweetly on the lips. "Don't worry, Looked up because It's a beautiful night for this opening." And Kuroko looked up, the sky was indeed beautiful; the dark sky and the twinkling stars were a sight to see.

When he felt his lover's presence no more he looked to his side to see him gone but when he turned to look what's in front of him, all he saw one thing.

A

It was a simple silver band that had a red stone inside the band not on it. He looked up at his lover with tears welling up in his eyes. "Aka-"

"This is my birthday gift to you Tetsuya, A promise ring. My promise to you is to love you, cherish you, guide you, be there for you, be your shoulder to cry on, a reason why you smile and laugh. I want to be that person that you can trust, I need to be that person because I love you Tetsuya. You don't know much you have effective me, both in mind and body. You are my first love and will be my last because I rather be by your side than anyone in this world. You are my first priority, my first true friend, my greatest weakness. I know you're not ready for the next step of marriage but I will wait for you. I have always loved you Tetsuya don't forget that."

Kuroko placed his left hand over his mouth, the tears have already fallen and they kept coming. He just stared at his mismatched eyes, the very eyes he have adored so much for so long.

"I love you Akashi-kun."

Those very mismatched eyes were now welt up in tears as well.

He was so scared at first.

But now, nothing can scare him more than losing the one who he treasured the most besides his mother.

The end.

Joke~

Let's continue.

:)

"FINALLY WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?" Aomine whined and was smack by the pinknette and the brunet ladies and the others rolled their eyes at them. "Oh shush, can't you see they're engaged." Kise gushed at the couple who came back from the outside.

"Actually, we're not engaged..." Kuroko said softly as he hid his face onto his lover's head.

Akashi explained to them what happened back there and the result were disapprove noises but nevertheless they were happy for them. The celebration continued on until the blunet's parents finally came, along with the blunet's former mistress and co-workers.

"I'm so happy for you~!" Alex said as she pulled the two men into her arms, squeezing them too tight. Surprisingly at the corner of the blunet's eyes he saw his childhood best friend talking to the silver-haired, and behind them was Nijimura and the lady before.

His eyes went even bigger when the woman removed her mask.

"Kurosaki-san!" The said woman froze and tried to make a run for it but the raven-haired grabbed her wrist and whispered into her eye, that made the hostess say many colorful words as she walked up to the couple.

"Hello." She gritted out. "You look lovely in a dress." Kuroko knew the redhead was teasing her by the sound of his voice, the black-haired rolled her eyes. "You knew I'm his escort-" "His what?" Kuroko interjected.

"You know his guide, not that kind of escort in a dirty way." She wiggled her eyebrows at a now blushing blunet. She got him cornered, by the look in his eyes she knew what kind of escort he had in mind.

"Why are you his escort? Was that the reason for the call yesterday?" Kuroko continued asking. "Yes, Unfortunately His Aunt is Yashida's cousin-in-law but the said aunt is adoptive so yeah I kind of got confused-" She sighed, "-I'm just his trailing dog for today until his boyfriend gets here-."

"He has a boyfriend?" Kuroko's eyes widen by the information. He had finally moved on from him which made him a bit relief. "Yup, That ginger guy over there. Did you know that they used to date when that guy was in his first year of collage? I heard they broke up because Mayuzumi-kun's mom disapprove of him, I met the guy and he's very sweet but a true-" She was cut off when they said couple went up to them.

Kurosaki's eyes held boredom and looked at the two couple across from each other. "I see you four know each other...Anyways, I'm going to eat with Mikio-chan!" She then ran as she grabbed the said young boy who was quietly listening onto his father's friends.

"Hi Kuroko." Ogiwara said nervously, "I'm a bit surprised." His childhood friend say and he was surprised as well at how calm he was. "So um..." He had nothing else to say as he looked for help at his boyfriend who he dated for about four months now.

Surprising how they met again in the place they were least fond of.

"Mayuzumi-kun be good to him, he's a very special friend and If I hear him hurt because of you..." He trailed off as Akashi took him away from the both very surprised couple, who looked at each other with secret looks.

"Where are you taking me?" Kuroko asked, but he was seconds away from whining. "Somewhere..." Akashi said nonchalantly. "But you have to make a speech-" "Oh that can wait, but for now..."

The redhead pulled his lover close to him, their chest pressing against each other as they looked at each other with love in their eyes.

"I want to spend my time with my soon-to-be husband, Akashi Tetsuya."
