"Tetsuya?" A soft voice called out, followed by the sound of a gate opening with a small cackle of a bell. The said man turned his body around and gave a tentative wave.

"Hello Grandma, How are you?" He said while walking up to his beloved grandmother that he haven't seen for the past five years. The older blunet just narrowed her dark brown eyes at her grandson.

"Were you about to break down?" That was a sudden question and made the blunet step's faltered for just a moment but resumed quickly as he gave the old lady a loving embrace. He couldn't lie to do this woman even if he wanted to, she was like his mother although they were not related by blood.

It was sort of troublibg to be honest.

"No... " He said unconvincingly. She pulled away with a raised eyebrow, clearly not liking the lie that was slipped from her beloved grandson's lips.

"I may be old and soon to be blind and forgetful but I know you're lying Tetsuya, Come inside now and let's about it." She commanded as she wobbled her way to the gate and waving her hand blindly for the young man to follow her like a lost puppy.

He let out a soft sigh but followed nevertheless. Nothing will change her mind, not even her late husband who was still alive years ago. When he closed the creaking door of the house he turned to be greeted by something or someone squished completely to his legs.

He looked down and gave a faint smile, ruffling his brown locks and pinching his nose as he picked him up from where he was. "Have you been a good boy to grandma?" He asked and received a eager nod from him.

"Good boy? He almost gave me an heart attack for the past seven years! That little brat never learns when to-" The grandmother started rambling but cut off by the whimpering coming from him. "Grandma he's young, Even Nigou gets frustrating once in a while." The blunet reasoned as he rubbed his back soothingly.

"Tetsuya, why are we talking about Mikio? We were supposed to talk about not " The older Kuroko head's popped out from the kitchen's door as she pointed her finger at him. "We have nothing to talk about, I just wanted to see how you are doing here." He said, finding a way to avoid talking about one thing he tried to avoid.

Love.

He was still troubled of accepting the apology of the redhead. He was still in denial that he thought it was just some sick way of entertainment.

But he knew from the back of his mind that Akashi loved him more than he loved anyone in this world.

Of course, they were other people who got the brains and looks and better than the blunet but out of all those people who seemed too perfect to be real he chose him. A guy who was barely noticed in school and only interested in books and maybe basketball.

A complete opposite of what the redhead was like when he was in that year.

He was popular, excelled in both academic and athletic standards and has the looks and personality that can make any woman melting and any man jealous. He has everything, he could get anyone who he wished.

And yet he chosed someone like Kuroko.

"Well I'm just wonderful and how about you sit down and Mikio go outside and play with the neighbor's yes? Go." She said firmly and both of them did as they were told. Kuroko was now seated on the love seat that was across from his grandmother who was seating on a rocking chair, cross-legged and hugging a plush pillow that was given to her last christmas.

"You know the drill Tetsuya, you may talk about anything that is under and over the sun." She said with an encouraging smile. The blunet nodded meekly as he began talking about what was bothering him lately mostly about him and Akashi.

When everything came out of his lips. The older Kuroko didn't say a word, just simply listen to him and nodded every now or so.

"-don't know if I should risked it again. I mean, Akashi-kun is really a wonderful man and any person is really lucky to have him as his lover but I'm skeptical about it Grandma. So that's probably it." He finished with a released of a deep breath. He looked to see the blunet has her right index finger under her nose and her left hand place on top of her head.

"You should really write a book of this Tetsuya. The and his Two people from different worlds, A man who was emotionless and never bothered looking for love and the other, a cold and stoic soon-to-be owner of a famous conpany who finally found someone who he could actually called It's like your grandfather and I again back when we were still young." The female giggled throughout her thoughts, truthfully she was expecting Akashi to be someone who was truly cold and doesn't really have a heart of feelings.

She was stand corrected.

She couldn't just randomly pin-point that what her grandson did was wrong although if she was in his place. She could've done the same but in a bit a different for the matter.

She would have kicked him then complain then punched him then asked for an explanation.

"I'm being serious. I'm doubting here." Kuroko surprisingly whined but his blank face doesn't really go well with his sudden childish action. "I know you are Tetsuya. But It's your choice if you want to really go back with him. He sounds like someone who would do anything for you even after all this years...but when you do get together again with him I want to meet him personally. He may have your parent's blessings but I need to know if sure he is what you describe him to be in your little story you just said a while ago." With that the grandmother stood from her chair and patter his shoulder with a gentle smile.

The blunet nodded at her words before flicking his gaze to the little brunet boy playing with twin girls dressed in both pink ruffled knee-length dresses. "Mikio's not there." He said when he couldn't find him.

"Huh?" Confused, the grandmother turned to looked to what he was talking about and her dark brown orbs widen by the realization. "Kohaku, Ari and Rin! Where's Mikio?!" She said in complete horrify voice.

He maybe a pain in the old woman's back buy she loved him as her own. He was like the mini version of her grandson and daughter-in-law in one.

"He was here with us...He must've ran off again." The little boy said with the twin girls nodded along with his words. It wasn't the first time that he has disappear.

"Again? Grandma no wonder you almost get heart attacks." Kuroko joked humorless as he stood up from the love seat and walked passed her to open the clear sliding door that led him to the backyard of his grandmother's house. "Shut it Tetsuya, Mikio!" She grumbled under her breath as she too went out and cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed calling him.

Mikio could only whimper, groan, moan and growl. He has no complete sense of direction and unfortunately colored-blind.

"Mikio!" The little children shouted as well. Kuroko just searched, he wasn't a fan of shouting since he could easily get hoarse from one loud shout.

After minutes of then searching it was almost sunset. The little children were forced to got home by their parents and the two adults were left sitting on the old lady's driveway.

"This isn't like him. Mikio should be here by now." The older blunet said as she crossed her arms and placed them on her bended knees, her short blue locks in a messy bun and her glasses tucked on her skirt's pocket.

"Should we call mother?" Kuroko suggested. His mother was extremely good at this sort of things and it happens to be third nature to her besides fighting.

"Alri-" But before she could finished her sentence a car rolled up in front of them. And it was the same car that brought Kuroko here.

"Akashi-ku-kun?" Stuttering a bit, The blunet stood up when the said man exited from his car with only a plain violet button down shirt with it's sleeves rolled up to his elbows, black slacks and matching dress shoes. "Hello again Tetsuya, Mikio you may come out now." By the sound of the familiar name, the older woman stood up well quickly as someone exited the car as well.

When they were now beside the redhead, his white collared shirt was wrinkled and his camouflage cargo shorts were rolled up to his thighs with it's black flip flops smeared what looked to be mud. His once short hair was now spiky and directed to any possible directions with his shy toothy smile presented on his lightly tanned skin.

"Mikio you have me worried!" She suddenly screeached as she rushed up to the little boy and pulled him to a tight embrace. The little boy could only groan but attempted to wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Where did you found him?" Kuroko asked as he was now standing next to him. He was hit by the sweet smell of strawberries and almost leaned into him.

"I found him in one of my worker's truck. He was banging his fists at Masamune who failing to calm him down. When I came to check up on them and the little boy literally jumped off and ran to me and stuck his tongue at Masamune." The blunet could only stared at him un disbelief. The worker was the twin girls' father, no wonder.

"I'm glad he wasn't injured." Kuroko whispered when his grandmother and the little boy went to the house and clearly out of sight. "And Tetsuya." He whipped his head at his fomer master curiously who had a serious exoression on his face.

"Yes Akashi-kun?"

"Is he really your son? Masamune told me that Mikio is your son and was took under your grandmother's wing when you became more busy in school." He looked at him with unreadable mismatched eyes. The blunet looked away with tinted cheeks.

How could he explain that? Truthfully it wasn't complicated but it was a crazily stupid decision when he thought about it. Having the little brunet boy wasn't a mistake, loving Akashi wasn't exactly a mistake either.

"The secretary in the library committee got pregnant at the age of seventeen soon-to-be eighteen about a week before her birthday. She was a good friend of mine, she was planning on abortion like her parents wanted her to do but I convinced her to give the baby to me and stripped her maternal rights when Mikio was finally born. There were a few arguments but I won thanks to my mother and Mayuzumi-kun-" Akashi growled lowly by the name but didn't bothered commenting on it. "-So that's how Mikio became my adopted son." He finished quickly.

"I see. So he takes your last name?" It sounded more of a statement than a question. "Yes he does." He confirmed with a nod.

"Kuroko Mikio." He said, testing the name that rolled off his tongue. It was a bit pleasant to hear and rhymed unintentionally but overall it was nice.

"So um," Kuroko bit his lip. "Do you want to stay for dinner? If you don't want to it's alright I under-" "Of course I wanted to stay for dinner. I like to meet you grandmother personally." He quickly cut off with a genuine smile that plastered on his face.

"Alright. Follow me." He gestured his hand for him to follow inside. He expected him to accept and accepted he did.

"And another thing Tetsuya... " He trailed off making the said man turned around to be greeted with the familiar tingling fireworks that exploded from the kiss.

It took the blunet a full minute to comprehend what just happened and when he did. He just simply reached to touched his forehead where the redhead just kissed shamelessly without his consent but still the loving sensation made him relaxed just halfway.

"That was what Alexandra requested for me to do when I see you again." His smile grew just a little as he walked inside. Kuroko wanted to glare at him but couldn't see himself doing it.

What was his mistress trying to succeed from this? Surely she doesn't planned anything over the edge. Right?
