i smiled,'i would love to, mike'
then, as we both smiled, we also found ourselves leaning in to each other's faces
as our lips touched, it formed a sweet and sugary taste among our lips
there were as many ways to describe that short, but sweet kiss as there were snowflakes in a snowstorm
all of a sudden, i heard the front door swing open, and steve yell,'i'm home!'
'guess it's time to meet my brother, mike' i mumbled under my breath
'here goes nothing' mike commented as we both got up and out of my room
we met steve in the living room, and based off the vibe we were getting from him, he seemed like he was in a good mood
'hey steve' i said to him, grabbing his attention
'hey victo- ooh who's this young fella?' he asked, looking at mike
'this is mike, my uh- boyfriend' i said
steve nodded and introduced himself to mike,'whats up, mike? i'm steve, vic's older brother'
'hi, steve, my name is mike, mike wheeler' mike answered nice and politely
steve laughed a little bit, not at mike though,'well, mr wheeler, as long as you don't hurt my little sister, i see no reason not to beat you up'
i could tell steve was joking, but mike?
not so much
i nudged mike a little bit to show him that steve was joking and he got the hint and laughed with steve stiffly for a couple of seconds before steve suggested that mike and i went out for a milkshake at the diner in town
'i mean, if you want to mike, we could go?' I asked mike, patiently waiting for his response to the question
'it would be my treat to go with you, victoria' he said with a smile

steve grabbed an apple from the fridge and told us,'alright kiddos, you two should head out before the curfew, even though its in four hours, so get going! i'll drive you both to the diner and then you two can walk home after that. mike, you staying for dinner?'
both me and mike shot each other a glance and then mike nodded,'that'd be great, and thank you for driving us'
'is the mattress on the floor comfy enough for you, giggles?'
'sure is, it's really nice that i could stay here, apple'
'it's nice you wanted to, mike. you're a great person'
'you make me a great person, apple'
darkness filled the room, but it was clear that we were both smiling
a few minutes passed, and none of us had said a word,
i whispered,'mike? are you awake?'
i heard some shuffling and then mike answered,'yeah; is anything wrong?'
'i can't sleep'
silence stuck upon us as i waited for his response
'do you want me to come up and lay with you?'
i smiled, even though mike couldn't see it
'that'd be great, mike'
i looked over, and from what i could tell and hear, mike was coming up to my bed
we laid next to each other for a few seconds before we slowly inched towards each other
soon, we were both inches away from each other
mike wrapped his arms around me as i leaned into his chest
i felt safe in his arms
it felt nice
me and mike were both fast asleep when i suddenly got woken up by little taps on the window
i whispered lowly 'mike, do you hear that? i think someones throwing rocks at the window?'
he slowly woke up,'huh?'

i explained it to him again, as he also started to realise what was going on
'want me to check it out, apple?' mike asked me
'it's fine, let me do it; you stay here' i told him as i got out of my bed and walked over to the window
as i opened the window, i could see someone out there with a bunch of pebbles in there hands
mike walked over to me and stood behind me as we waited for the shadow to do something
'who is that, apple?'
'i have no idea; who would come to my house at three in the morning? should we get steve?' i asked mike as our hands intertwined with each other
'let's wait'
we waited a few more seconds for the person to do something,
and then, as soon as the person started talking we both knew exactly who it was
'hot stuff; i love you. please take me back i'll do anything!'

The Dungeon Gods [DEAD - AWAITING REWRITE]
More than three centuries ago, the Great Mage, Arcius, Performed the single greatest feat a magician can accomplish, he looked into the future, and discovered his fate. In his visions, he discovered his reincarnation, to become a Dungeon. Desiring to rise to great heights again, even in his new life, he spent the remaining centuries he had researching and studying the strange beings called Dungeons, and devising a spell that would allow him to retain his memories. However, the very act of knowing what is to come can often be enough to alter Destiny. Impressed at the Mage's efforts, an ancient, powerful being, the Creator of Gods, has now chosen him, to become one of the Dungeon Gods of a new world in a new segment of reality. Their directive, to bring life to this new world. Follow him, as he brings forth the knowledge his efforts awarded him, and pits it against his unprepared competitors, in a bid to be the first to create sentient life. This is my first full on story, and is mostly going to be a learning experience for me. It is going to be a story following the life of Arcius as a Dungeon God, with very few POV swaps, if any. If I make any errors, either in spelling or in grammer, please let me know, and I will endevour to correct them ASAP. I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this. I highly recommend that you read that story if you find this one interesting.

The Little Things...
Set in the fictional universe of Runeterra (League of Legends™), the story follows four stout spirits known amidst circles of sorcerers and sages as Yordles on their journey across the vast and fantastical world they inhabit. From the treacherous waves outside Bilgewater to the parched deserts of Shurima and the peaks of Mount Targon. The party at first seeks monetary gain in the acquisition of noteworthy artifacts desired by their employer and fellow explorer, but soon finds that there is more to be gained in the relationship forged along the way and the experiences found within them. This series is more a conglomerate of short stories than a fully fledged novel with every two or three chapters being confined to its own miniaturized arc before another one starts. There will be updates semi-regularly and apologies in advance for any niggling grammatical errors, I'm not a published author. (This on-going series features a number of characters belonging to myself and others, half of which are talented artists who deserve your support! More information as to who belongs to who and where to find them down below. Thanks to all three of them for allowing me to use their well-crafted creations in my fan-fiction.)Lois (/Lwa/) belongs to (Myself, @ResidentNapper)Mica (/Mykah/) belongs to (@IVoxxious)Enzo (/Nzoh/) belongs to (@LorikoDingus)Chelle (/Shelle/) belongs to (@TE4MOON)

Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.
