Shaadi (hoga ya nai😟)

Annika was siting on the couch after her haldi function. Rechecking her phone.

"Yaniiii" was the sound..

(Mansi as Younger sister of Shrenu)

Mansi came running to her and suddenly applied break for her legs.

M: haldiii wowww... me bhi lagou..?

An: manuuu....!! Arrey laga na...

Mansi started to apply haldi over Annika.

A: exam kaisa tha...?

M: all good.

A:pakka.. kahi tune excitement me kuch gadbad tho nai ki...

M; na yans.... bilkul nai. Sachi me achi hui hai... ummm pinky promise(she showed her little finger with full of haldi. Annika smiled.)

M: anyway you good..? You seem to be lost.

A:haa. Anyway tu bata katam hogaye tere exams...?

M:arrey kya boring bate le k baiti ho bridooo.. chill.

While they sat gossiping Anju came there.

An: Anuu chal ja tayaar hone.. jaldi. Der mat karna.

A: ok.

At her room.

"Rishi... kaha ho..? Apne abhi thak mere msg nai deke..(she said looking at her WhatsApp chat) not even on normal text itna gussa..? Ab dikati hu me kitna gussa kar sakti hu🤨(she huffed in anger) aaou tho sahi.. shaadi hone do. Bataoungi"

Then she took shower and came out wiping her hair with towel. When her phone vibrated. She excitedly came expecting it to be Rishi. But it was Jiyana. She smiled sadly. Her phone screen showed missed call from Jiyana.

She called back.

(On call)

A: Jiya..?

Ji: di wo me...

A: kaha ho tum..? Ab thak ayi nai.

Ji:arahi thi di.

A:arahi thi. Matlab.

Ji:ha matlab raste me hu...

"Knock knock"

A:ek mint jiya..

Annika opend the door to see jiyana standing there.

They hugged. Within the short span jiyana had gelled up with her too well.

After some common talks.

A:jiya.. wo umm..

J: boliye na di....

A:Neha..? I mean..

J: use ap chodiye.( bas me chati hu ki wo kuch tamasha na kare)

A:kuch kaha..?

J:nai. Me niche chalti hu. Ap tayar hojayiye.

After that shrenu,mansi and Anju came in her room to help her getting ready.

She was ready with her lehenga on.

Shrenu and Mansi left soon she was all set. Anju was looking at her with moistened eyes and smile.

A:mamma...?(she looked at her with the same love and affection. Then they heard a knock on the door.)

Anju hurriedly wiped her tears off and opend the door to see Vardhan standing there.

V:wo dolu...(his words stuck there seeing her. HIS daughter. )

Anju followed his gaze and understood what's going in his mind and heart. She kept her hand on his hand and pulled him in.

A:papa...!!

Vardhan was left with no words.

He came forward kissed her forehead.

V:anju..! Ye meri dolu deko kitni badi hogayi hai.. kal hi tho me ise chalna sikharaha tha. Aur aj deko bidai horahi hai iski.

An:vardhan...!!

A:papa...🥺(she hugged him tight and anju also joind a bit latter)

An:haa aayiiii(she gave out her voice as she heard someone calling her.)

V:idar aaou. Baito (he brought Annika to the dressing table. Made her sit. He bent down and sat on his knees. He took he foot on his lap, ties her anklets)

V: ye chot tume cycle chalate waqt lagi thi yaad hai(he said seeing the mark there.)

A:papa please don't talk like this. Mujhe.. please. I'm always there na. Me thodi na bagodi hu. Ki me bina bataye bhag gayi. Ya phir abi marn...(vardhan didn't let her complete)

V:anu!(bit raised voice) ye kaise baate kar rahi ho. Haan!

A:ok. Sorry lekin ap bhi aise senti bate mat kiya karo. (She made him stand, adjusted his collar) doesn't suit you Mr.Trivedi... I will miss you. But papa me yehi hu. Mumbai me. Ati jati rahungi ap bhi aajaou..

V:rishi se baath hui.

A:kyu papa.. matlab..?

V:arrey bas aise hi pucha..

A:no.

Anju came back to the room.

An:baraat agayi. Vardha chalo.!

V:ha.. chalo.(he kissed her forehead and left with anju)

"Mujhe phirse ghabaraht kyu horahi hai...?!"

Shrenu was standing at the door and heard this.

S:kyu ki shaadi horahi hai..(she placed some gift boxes on the table and arranging some things.)

A:nai shre.! Ye wo ghabrahat nai hai. Like I'm feeling kuch raita phailne wala hai. Ek tho wo hai ki baat nai kiya unhone mujse kal se. Mere mag deke bhi nai. WhatsApp ki tho chid normal text bhi nai dekha unhone.!

S:ohhh bohot desperate ho...(she didn't complete her sentence as she turned back to tease her, but looking at the serious expression she stooped there) kuch hua hai kya..? Like any serious issue..?

A: kuch nai hai. Lekin shaadi se pehele mujhe unse milna bohot zaroori hai. Lekin kaise..?

S: me kaise bhi kar k le aoungi unhe. Tension not😉

A:lekin shre. Shaadi se pehele hum mil nai sakte. But mujhe milna hi hai.

S: yaar Annika. Dono bate tu hi bolri hai. Mujhe bata tuje milna hai yaa nai.?

A: milna hai par..

S: ok that's it. Me aur manu kuch karte hai. Chill.!

After this talk shrenu went down in the hall near rishi and his family. As she came down she saw rishi and his family settled on the chair comfortable as there was some time left for all the rituals to happen. She came and stood near anju.

An; rishi ye Shrenu..Anika ki college friend. Aur wo iski behen mansi.(she showed mansi who was serving juice for his family sitting opposite to him)

R:hi..!

S:juice..? Manu..

R:no no. Its ok.

Soon anju left to receive some gustes and shrenu and rishi were left alone.

S: wo apki mobile kaha hai..?

R:waise rasam tho jhoote churne ki hoti hai naa...

S:oh god. OK directly coming to the point. Annika ne apse baat karne ki khoshi ki thi.. mujhe puri baat pata nai hai... lekin usne kaha ki apne baat nai ki usse kal raat se. Aur ab use apse baat karni hai. Hope everything is fine.

R: Annika ne kuch nai kaha..?

S: nai she said "Everything is fine. But I need to talk." Ab iska kya matlab wo tho tum dono hi jaano.

R:tho ab..?

S: wo...(Until she say something pandit called hum for some small ritual. He showed his helplessness to shrenu. She felt bad. And soon after some 5 to 10 mints the rasam was over. And until this shrenu explained this too mansi. And they both cooked a plan.)

S:Rishi.. wo ap bolrahe the washroom jana hai dress teek karne k liye....!!(sheepish smile indicating him)

R:me...? (He got what she was saying) arrey haa. Mujhe jana tha.. lekin..

S: wo mansi apko le jayegi.. mansi.. papa k kamre me le jana.. Annika k nai. Ok😁

M: ha shre.. ab chale jijajiiii....

R: dad. Me abhi aya..

They both reached annika's room while shrenu was standing there as a guard so that no one will come to know about their meeting.

At annika's room door.

M:yaniii..... oye birdooo..!(she said in soft voice knocking the door)

A:kya hai manuu(she said being irritated from inside)

M: arrey door tho open karo..! Ya thod du.?

Soon she opend the door and mansi just pushed rishi in and closed the door behind.

M:ufff(heavy sigh)

I'm the room.

Annika turned back her back facing him.

R:Annika..? Tum..

A:kya ha kya...?

R:idar dekho..

A:nai deksakti, mana hai..

R:kyu

A:kuch abshagun hoga.

R: Annika yehan pe meri actually hamari zindagi ka sawal hai.. aur tume abshagun ki padi hai? Tume meri parva hi nai hai kya.

A: parvah hai tabi tho. Me nai chati ki apko kuch ho.

R:Annika please baat karo. Idar deko. Kya hua.. tume shaadi nai karni hai kya yehi batane bhulaya mujhe..?

Annika turned to him.

A: mujhe shaadi nai karni ya nai karni..?(she took a step towards him) mujhe avoid karrahe ho(another step closer) mera msg nai dekha(another step closer) phone not reachable araha tha(again a step)

Rishi was confused with this.

R: mera phone... ek mint.. kab call kiya tha tumne..? Mujhe tho nai ayi..!

A:agrrhhhh😖(irritated)

She hurriedly searched for her phone in her room. And finally got it under some gift box.

Ye dekho...(she showed him the call log in her phone) ek baar nai 3 baar call kiya tha apko.. aur ye

Aur ye bhi dek hi lo

Kya karu me ab.. kya kya nai kiya..? Me ne Yuvi bhai ko bhi call kiya tha. Laga wo batadenge.. uske baad tho ap mujhe call karte.. lekin nai.melekin apko tho ghandi Singh banna tha.. me yehan pata nai kya kya soch rahi thi raat ko.. ghabrah gayi thi me.. apko pata bhi hai kaise kaise kyal arahe the man me jab apka phone not reachable tha..jab apnne mag nai deke.. rishi apko kya lagta hai.. haa..? Samjte kya ho khudko.

(she had tears. Rishi came to wipe her tears but she backed off) nai no. Please.

R:Annika. Wo mera phone.. mere paas nai tha..nai hai. Ma ne le liya tha. Aur kal me bohot disturbed tha tho me ne wtsup dekha nai. Lekin Annika tum kyu mujhse baat karna charahi thi...

A: ab kyu bolu me ha..? Ab kyu. Nai bolungi. Jaou ap yehan se.

(He was leaving) kya..? Jarahe ho..?

R:(confused) tumne hi tho kaha...!

A: ha ha jaou. Aur apki waje se me ne apna haldi enjoy nai kiya. Ab mujhe shaadi enjoy karni hai. Koi raita mat phailaou😏

R: me..? Me tho kitna acha bacha hu..(innocent look) me kya karunga. (Pause) but thank you Annika. I needed this. Hamri is mulakat me tumne ajane me bohot kuch boldiya.. me bohot kush hu ab.

A:aisa kya kehediya me ne..? (she raised her eyebrow asking. Rishi stepped near her standing too close to her)

R:zindagi baar saath hi rehena hai na. Samja dunga. Jaldi se niche ajou. Ab aur intezaar nai horaha..! Looking beautiful. (He bent down to kiss her cheeks but she turned around blushing. Rishi left out a chuckle and left her room not before taking a last glance before he leave )

Rishi came down and he had a new glow on his face. Now he was enjoying each and every moment of his wedding. Then the rituals started and he became busy and waiting for his Annika. Looking at the stairs every alternate seconds. While samir and Yuvi came there. As soon as yuvi came there rishi was hell angry. He pulled yuvi by his collar.

Y:Rishi..rishi.. kya karaha hai chod na..urgg(he jerked his hands) kya hai. (Angry and irritated)

R:excuse me... gussa mujhe hona chahiye yehan pe.

Y:kis khushi me.

R:kal annika ne tume call kiya tha. Aur tumne mujhe batana zaroori nai samja..? Aur tho aur ab thak nai bataya.

Y:oh shit.🤦Me bhul gaya yaar. Kuch problem hogayi kya.

R:Almost ho hi gaya tha..ye tho accha hua ki hum ne solve karli.. warna tho..

Y:tho..?

R: ye shaadi hona mushkil tha.

Y:sorry yaar. Muje laga tumne call karli hogi ya phir suba bat karli hogi. Aur shaadi ke tension me, me bhul gaya.!

R: tu bach gaya beta. Warna... anyway jo bhi hua sahi nai tha.. lekin ab teek hai.

After sometime the marriage rituals started and Rishi was sitting in the mantap. Stealing glances from the stairs.

Pandit(P): dhulhan ko bulaou...!

And here Rishi's heart was dancing.

An:ji abhi bulate hai. (To shrenu) shrenu.. jaou anu ko bula laou.

S:ji ma.!

She left.

"Dhulhan tho yehan hai" everybody looked at the door.

R:Neha..!

(Kya timing hai)

N:woo...! Naam yaad hai. Nice.

Rishi got up from the mantap.

N:arrey ut kyu gaye. Baito baito. Arahi hu abhi.

An/V: ye kon hai.

R:not so imp person papa.

N:ha ab me imp kyu hongi bhala.. night stand tho hogayi mere sath.

Some of them didn't understand what she meant. Soon Annika with shrenu and mansi were coming down stairs and Annika saw her.

N:mere sath raat guzari hai isne.. bohot baar.. kal bhi tho ye mere sath hi tha..

A:tabi tho me sochu ki unka phone off kyu tha. Right Rishi..?(she said standing in the middle stairs.)

R:Annika...?

A: mujhe mera naam yaad hai. Thank you.

S:ye kya hai yaar anu.(She whispered)

N:ha Annika. Ye tume dhoka dega.. tume bhi dhoka de dega.

Jay(Rishi's father):Neha.. tum itni neeche gir gayi..?

Ra:sharam kar Neha.

V:koi hume batayega ki ye ho kya raha hai.. Anu..? Rishi..?(he looked at her expecting an answer while she came down)

A:ha tho kal kya...kya bolrahi ti tum...?

N:yehi Annika ki ye tume bhi dhoka de dega. Ye shaadi mat karna.

A:oh wow.

N:I think ye tumare sath bhi so chuka hai.. wo bhi do baar na.. haa... tumne ise phasaya hai ya isne tume..?

An:Tum ho kon..?

A: ek mint mamma. Aur tum. Tumne kab dekha ki ye mere sath so chuke hai..?

N:matlab baat sach hai. Hai na. Rishi ab tum mujhse shaadi karoge.. isse nai.

R:what the hell. Just get lost.

N:tumne mujhe kaha..? Tum...(she raised her hand to hit him, while Annika came in front of her and held her hands)

A:khabardaar.🤨 khabardaar agar mere pati pe haat utaya tho. Tum hoti kon ho haan.?! Ab thak tho me bhi maze le rahi thi teri ye mangadhad kahani ko sunke. Lekin ab aur nai.

N: (sarcastic chuckle) pati..? Pati my foot.

A: your foot nai.. meri chandni..(Annika jerked her hand and left)

(confused expression of neha)arrey meri chappal. Dikou..?

N:Annika tum bohot pachtaougi.

A: ha tume marne ke baad na... wahi tho hoga.

R: Annika tum iseke muh kyu lagrahi ho..?

N:itna pyaar ha..? Nice. Ek dusre ko protect karahe ho. Very nice.

A:tu bata ki tu kyu ayi hai..

N:tum ye shaadi mat karo.

A:kyu..?

N:kyu ki..wo.. ye..

A:waje tho de do Neha.. tume bhi pata hai ki tum galat ho. Kyu apna tamasha bana rahi ho. Chali jou yehan se.!

Jiyana came there and took Neha out forcefully.

N:chod jiya. Chod use tho me..

V:kon thi wo anu..?

An:Rishi.. can we get explanation..!

J:wo Neha thi

A:mamma.. papa.. its not imp. Kya hum us bare me baad me baath kare.

Vardhan looked at Annika. While she passed him Everything-is-fine look. And smiled.

Rishi and Annika settled down on the mantap.

While rishi had an unexplainable smile.

R:Annika.. (he wispers near her ear but pandit didn't let him complete)

P:ji varmala ke liye khade hojayiye..

They took their saath pheras.

And everything was normal.

R:pandit ji ye saath wachan me bol sakte hai..? Kyu ki jab wada kar hi rahe hai tho use hum khud hi bol dakte hai. Aur me bhul se bhi bhul ke ye wada thodna nai chata.(he told to pandit ji while his eyes were fixed at annika's)

1. Me wada karta hu ki kabi tumara saath nai choduna.

2.me wada karta hu tume kabi apni family ki kami mehesoos hone nai dunga.

3. Wada karta hu ki koi bhi problem ho kaisi bhi situation ho hum sath me ladenge.

4. Me wada karta hu ki tumari har khushi ka kyal rakunga.

5.wada karta hamare parivaar ko jhod ke rakunga.

6. Kabi tume koi aanch nai aane dunga.

7. Aur sathva wada ye ye hai ki me in sab wado ko pura karunga.!

While this Annika had her eyes glistened.

It was the time for the mangalsutra and sindoor.

Rishi had mangalsutra in his hand looking at Annika.

A:kya magalsutra pehenaouge ya me hi apko band du(she wispered just that Rishi could listen, while he left a soft chuckle.)

R:welcome in my life officially Mrs.Rishi Singh bedi.!(he wisper in her ears while he tied the nuptial chain around her neck. He filled her hairline with sindoor. While some fell on her nose.

Ra:wo rishi tho Annika se bohot pyar karta hai. Kehete hai ki sindoor nak pe gire tho pati patni k beech me pyaar zyada hota hai. Haye mere bache. Tu tu tu nazar na lage. (She broke her knuckles fighting the evil eyes)

Then it was an emotional time. The bidai.

Rishi and Annika were prepared to leave.

M:ap kuch bhulrahe ho shayad.

R:kya..?

S:apke jhoote 😁

Yuvi and samir was baffled.

Y: humne chupa ke rake hai.. apko kaise mil gaye..?

S:koi achi jaga chupate. Bed k neeche kon rakta hai(shrenu and mansi hified laughing)

M:humne dunda aur hame mil gaye. Ap paise do. Jhoote lo.!

Sa:nai nai pehele jhoote do phir paise lo!

S:ek hath se do ek haath se lo.

Then they danced for the song jhoote lo paise do from hum apke hai kon.

S:pehele paise..

Y:jhoote.

M:piase...!

Sa:jhoote..

M: ha shakal de k lagta hai ki roz jhoote khate ho..🤭

Sa:excuse me..

S:excused. Paise please...

R:ok ok just stop. Kya chahiye..? Kitne paise chahiye.

Annika and others were enjoying seeing them.

M:million dollars of

An:manu...?

S:of Annika ki khushi. Aur kuch nai chahiye. Yehi neki hogi hamari.

M: batou.. doge..?

R:bilkul.(he said eyeing annika)

Y:ha. Ab tho jhoote do..! Kahan hai. Batou.

Sa: ha hum khud le k ayenge.

Shrenu and mansi laughed.

Mansi pulled up her lehenga and showed the shoes. She was wearing them.

(A/N: ye me ne kiya tha apni behen ki shaadi me.. jhoote churaya tha aur chupaya tha lekin jiju k friends aur bhaiyo ko pata chalgya.. lekin unse pehele me ne hi pehenli thi. Lehenga hoti thi tho dikta bhi nai tha😅. Uff it was so fun)

A:oh mansii...

M:😛

R:lekin ye lo...(he handed them a bundle of notes) ye as thank you(he whispered in their ear) for making me meet Annika. (He came back and stood straight)

Sa: ye kya tha.. aur kyu tha..?🤨

R:Shh ok.😉

M/S: gestured as zipping their mouth.
