《SHE | SABRINA QUESADA》CHAPTER ONE

"she's a, she's a lady, and i am just a line without a—"

'line without a hook' echoed throughout a dark room. a low groan came from the pile of blankets on top of the teal colored bed. a person laid unseeable, covered under blankets until their head popped out of the bundle. chocolate hair covered a movie star stunning girl as she wiped the small line of drool off her rose lips.

"ew, people." clementine mumbled, leaning over her silk pillow to grab her phone. ricky montgomery's voice repeated the same lyrics before clementine pressed the green icon.

"you've awoken sleeping beauty from her one hundred hour sleep. how may i help you?"

"clem! did you get the email? did you?" a perky, awake voice shrieked over the phone. clementine's eyes widened at the loud volume. she lifted herself up long enough to check her alarm clock, where it read 5:03 am. falling back against the soft bed, she let out another sound of tiredness.

"shouldn't you be packing, sab? you have that competition house soon." clementine queried, her eyes no longer struggling to stay open.

"look, can i facetime you? i wanna see your reaction."

"sure—wait—reaction to what? and what email?"

miss quesadilla is calling...

"oh goodness." the brunette swiped her finger right on her phone, making a stunning blonde show up on her screen. "whoa—you look—" sabrina started, getting cut off.

"in need of a serious makeover? yeah, i know."

"oh shut up, you look gorgeous."

"chile, anyways so..."

"just check your email!"

clementine did as she told, reaching to the right of her bed to grab her laptop. her pastel nails clicked on the keyboard while she opened her newest email. the girl's green eyes scanned her computer screen as her lips curved upward.

"what does it say?" sabrina eyes sparkled, already aware of the answer. clementine beamed, the tiredness leaving her face almost completely. "i actually got in!" both girls squeal, excitement filling them up from head to toe.

"we're gonna get famous!" clementine almost screamed, despite how early in the morning it was. her bed creaked, moving back and forth from clementine's little jumps. despite her previous comment, the brunette had over a million and a half followers on tiktok. not to mention a third of those followers on instagram.

"hell yeah, we are!" sabrina vowed, popping a piece of mint gum in her mouth.

"oh shit—we need to pack." clementine realized, blinking in the information. "we do." sabrina smirked, an idea popping in her head. "shopping spree?" the blonde popped an eyebrow, cheesing like a five year old. clementine mimicked her face, nodding faster than a cheetah. "let's do it."

"see you in thirty."

the facetime ended, and clementine removed her fuzzy pants and old t-shirt. her outfit consisted of patterned bell bottom pants crotchet white top. while brushing her tangled hair, the girl thought to herself.

she's known sabrina since middle school, they were like two peas in a pod. competing against her didn't seem too appealing, but she was glad to spend time with her friend. it was unknown how she felt about the blonde romance wise, but a getaway could solve it all.

with her hair now in a high ponytail, clementine moved onto the rest of her necessities. it didn't take her more than fifteen minutes to ready herself. she swung by her fridge, snatching two chocolate milks for sabrina and herself. finally, clementine grabbed her phone and purse, leaving her empty house in a quick move.

clementine's flip flops padded across the grass as she made her way to sabrina's car. the brunette grinned as she saw her best friend waving at her. clementine entered sabrina's vanilla scented car, keeping her natural happy face on.

"hey clem! looking gorgeous as ever."

"thank you! you look very beautiful, as always."

sabrina's mouth curved up, satisfied with her friend's comment. the two drove off to the mall, gossiping and predicting what will happen over the next month or so. as they chatted, sabrina's hand rested on the right of her seat, inching closer to clementine's own hand. looking down, clementine gently took sabrina's hand, playing with the blonde's rings. sitting in silence, billie eilish filled the quiet air while the girls sat hand in hand.

reaching the grand mall, clementine was the first to let go, grabbing her purse and exiting the car. sabrina followed the brunette's movements after stealing a glance at her friend. the two made their way to a makeup store, grabbing a few random things here and there. it didn't take long at all for the two to turn into fits of giggles. they went from store to store, taking random photos and trying on bizarre things.

in the middle of doing a burst of photos, sabrina placed a kiss on clementine's cheek. the brunette flushed, her smile growing.

the rest of their shopping spree was buying too many clothes, bikinis, and soft pretzels. sabrina managed to make a short vlog for her tiktok, and clementine made sure to post on her instagram. their social media filled with "ship" comments, talking about how cute the two were. but everytime, clementine shot them down, and sabrina followed suit.

they both ran back to the car, bags hanging off their arms. laughs echoed in the parking garage as they ran up the flight of stairs. placing their bags in sabrina's trunk, the girls sat down in their seats to talk more.

"that was so fun." clementine breathed out, taking a sip of the coke she got in the food court. sabrina nodded, grabbing her friend's hand. "it was," she started, "and i'm glad i got to spend it all with you." the blonde had blushed while speaking, making clementine grin at the flushed girl.

the drive to clementine's house was quiet, including a flirtatious comment here and there. once the two made it back, clementine grabbed her bags and purse, laughing at a joke sabrina had made. "hey, i'll see you at the content house in two days, yeah?"

"yeah, see you there!" with that, clementine went inside her house and sabrina drove home. it didn't take long for her to realize her mother was high as she walked through the door. clementine's mother was usually drunk, so it was new to hear her ramble incoherent words with red eyes. clementine mumbled a few words of how she'd be gone for a month or so, then headed up to her room.

the teenage girl lost her father to alcohol a few years ago, and her mother wasn't any better. her childhood was made up of her parents arguing and clementine's old friend's parents raising her. once she was in middle school, sabrina's parents took her under their wings and raised her like their own. sabrina made clementine's life better than ever, and now there was romance between the two.

now, how on earth could this story end up?
