Klaus bait

"So your telling me in the 48 hours I was gone Alaric got put in jail by his hot doctor girlfriend released from jail by hot doctor girlfriend then tried to kill hot doctor girlfriend?" Bethan asked her sister, Bethan went to New York to see one of her friends exhibits from the summer program she was attending.

"pretty much so yeah" Elena as the sister walked through the woods to meet the Scooby gang.

"What are we doing here?" Matt asked Damon wondering why they'd all been called out to the woods.

"we found some white oak long story wait for the movie" Damon told the teens tossing one of the stakes.

"wait white oak your saying we have a weapon to kill klaus?" Elena asked and Stefan through the duffel bag on the floor where multiple stakes fell out

"no I'm saying we all do" stefan smirked looking at the four teenagers.

"Klaus has always been one step ahead of us now we have the advantages, we're all armed and they're all linked meaning we only need to kill one of them, we need to seize the opportunity which means we need to prepare for every opportunity" the younger Salvatore explained to them.

"Sanrio number 1" Damon started pulling Elena into the middle of the group

"you get to be klaus" he told Elena winking at her.

"Rebekah is our target, and to get to her we need to keep her distracted and away from klaus to do that we need to keep klaus occupied- Bethan" stefan volunteered her earning an eye roll from said Gilbert.

"why do I always have to be klaus bait" she groaned throwing her back.

"because unfortunately for you you're the beauty to his beast" Damon added causing Bethan to throw one of the stakes at him.

"Caroline you'll play Rebekah, quarterback you'll distract her" Damon gave out his orders to start playing out his plan.

"how do I do that?" Matt questioned wondering how he could distract an original.

"talk to her act interested she's lonely and desperate" Damon shrugged his shoulders not really caring about the details.

"clearly if she slept with you" Bethan remarked causing Caroline and Elena to laugh.

"Beefcake holds bombshell I come up behind her grab her arms like this" Damon said pinning Caroline arms behind her back.

ow" she cried out for Damon to ignore her.

"give me time for one shot" stefan finished demonstrating.

"We each get a stake keep it hidden okay?" Everyone nodded at stefan.

"we have 12 stakes that's 12 chances" stefan smiled

The group disbanded and Caroline plus Bethan decided retail therapy was in need.

"has Tyler contacted you at all?" Bethan asked while holding up a top to show Caroline who shook her head no at the shirt.

"no not since the voice mail he left me" Caroline responded, the blonde vampire help up a dress.

"that's cute" Bethan commented tilting her head at the dress.

"what about klaus huh what's that like" her best friend questioned wiggling her brows.

"he says he 'fancy's' me but there's definitely no feeling on my side" the brunette replied but Caroline could see she was holding something back

"but?" She tried to pry out of her friend.

"I found out he's an artist and a pretty amazing one at that, his art collection care it's what my highest dreams are. It's the way he talks about the world like only an artist would The he describes how a light hits an object, making it truly magic the things he seen, I've read about Leonardo da Vinci he met him" Bethan explained.

"you sound like your falling I love with him" Caroline teased the Gilbert girl earning a small shove.

"oh shut up it's just nice having someone around who truly cares about art" the human replied.

"I noticed you and Matt at the ball last week" the blonde smiled.

"we are just friends Caroline besides he's yours and Elena ex's" Beth reminded her not wanting to cross the line.

"oh please you could cut the sexual tension with a knife besides you guys have already kissed." Caroline giggled as the girls looked at shoes.

"He's one of my best friends Caroline" Beth blurred out quickly.

"So what so was Tyler and you dated him?" Caroline exclaimed getting excited over the thought of Matt and Tyler.

"And look how great that turned out" the brunette responded trying on a pair of heels.

"Bethan if you never put yourself out there you'll never know" you could see the vampire was annoyed with her best friend

"one you where dying on your death bed the first time we kissed, we both had to much to drink and three we haven't spoken about it since." our Gilbert girl informed her.

"you and matt would be so cute together" Caroline gushed ignoring her previous statement.

"geez care id break him in two I don't do nice guys" Beth reminded her friend.

"but Beth you don't just like bad boys, you like bad guys because you convince your self that your protecting your self knowing you are going to get hurt then you liking a nice guy that you can't predict" Caroline has tried for years to get Bethan to change.

"Nice guys like shinny new things Caroline, not girls like me who come with more baggage then you at a shoe sale" once again the Gilbert girl sold her self short.

Caroline and Bethan met Stefan and Elena back at the boarding house.

"I can't believe you killed Finn, I feel kinda bad on the guy" he blonde vampire stated.

"Caroline really?" Elena responded shocked she would even think that.

"I mean he spent his whole life in a box he finally got some freedom" Caroline answered sympathisch.

"and with that freedom tried to kill him self" Beth rolled her eyes, suddenly the door swung open and two vampire came speeding in.

"Who the hell is this?" Bethan exclaimed at the unwanted visitors

"I'm sage and your little friends Just killed my boyfriend" she growled flinging stefan across the room while Troy went for Caroline. Suddenly the vampires froze as sage hit the ground cough up blood before he skin turned grey indicating she was dead while her lacking followed suit.

"What happened?" Elena questioned looking at the dead vampire.

"maybe she was so sad Finn died that she couldn't live with out him" Caroline announced tilting her head.

"I don't think so Caroline she was coughing up blood" stefan spoke causing something to spark in the youngest of the group.

"that's it blood, Troy was turned by sage who was turned by Finn meaning the have the same blood line so-" Beth was cutoff by the Salvatore vampire.

"when a original dies so do their whole bloodline" stefan concluded eyes shifting between the three girls.

"that means we might still be able to kill klaus" elena smiled at her friends.

"guys, klaus might not have created our blood line, but he did create Tyler's" Caroline reminded the group.

After handing in all their stakes Caroline and Bethan sat in the Gilbert kitchen.

"what a day" Beth complained throwing her head back.

"well you better get some sleep, we're up early for the decade dance" Caroline reminded her friend suddenly fixing Bethan's mood. Bethan and Caroline loved to plan the dances Caroline planed the majority of it but Bethan always organised the decorations and the artistic aspects of it.

"as yes the day everyone has to listen to me" Bethan smirked st her friend who rolled her eyes. .

"With great power comes-" Beth cut the vampire off
