《Broken (Jughead x reader)》Part 1

I am not crazy. Unfortunately when you have to repeat this sentence to yourself over and over everyday, it stops sounding true. Eventually you stop believing it. At some point in the last 3 years I had realized that I was different from everyone else. "Crazy" wasn't exactly the right word to explain whatever I was. It was more like over-sensitive with a tendency to wander or get lost inside my own head. No, "crazy" was not the right word. What it was was a word I heard often, especially from people who would look at me clinging onto my brother's arm at school trying to make it through the hallways without breaking down.
Archie didn't mind though. Being my twin, he had seen me at my worst and did everything he could to keep me from ending up in that state of mind again. I wasn't aloud to be alone. Not in the hallways, not at home, not on my way home from school, not in town, not at Pop's, not anywhere. This was due to the fact that when I was alone, my mind would wander and then my feet would start to do the same thing. I would end up somewhere, not knowing how I got there or how long it had taken. There had been a couple times I had almost fallen into Sweet Water River because of this and one time I had been knee deep in the water when Betty had found me, called out my name and pulled me out of my thoughts.
There were a lot of people (like the idiots on the football team who were very vocal about it) who expected me to die soon. When Jason had been killed this summer, some people were saying things around town about how they were surprised I hadn't gone before him. Others were saying I was probably the one who killed him. Then there were the people who knew me better than everyone else. They were afraid that I would be the next one to go and that it wouldn't be an accident. To say the least, Jason's death had scared me. My sleep patterns that had just been improving were not only turned around but now non-existent. I was often in the middle of 2 or 3 thoughts at once and stopped talking a whole lot as I couldn't stick to a normal conversation. Archie was worried about me and always made sure I had someone around as the chances of me wandering off had practically doubled.

As for friends at school, I didn't have many. There was Archie who was bonded to me by blood, Betty who I would love to call a friend but never thought of it that way as she was usually just there to help take care of me and Kevin who seemed to enjoy my company more than anyone else. He and I got along quite well when I wasn't spaced out. The three of them helped me a lot when it came to panic attacks or just bringing me back to reality when I got lost inside my own head. I was always a very clingy person so I was often sitting on Kevin's lap or next to Betty with our arms intertwined. Being that close to people was just a little reminder of what was actually going on and that there were people right here with me.

Life in another world with an Immunity System
NOTE: I just finished a large scale editing with the chapters. From now on, the world is no longer a 1000X Earth. I have added my original element. From here on, with a few exceptions, no similarity can be found with our Earth. Thank you. The change has been applied from chapter 1. So if anyone finds any missed places or traces of my previous world-building, please comment and notify me. Andel lived in a world where those with powers will have the final say in everything. In his world, having no aptitude to either magic or Ki means you are even worse than ants. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any aptitude to either. His life should have been hell, but due to being the son of two powerful parents and descendant of a powerful family saved him from a wretched fate. Life was harsh, but Andel wasn’t one to mourn and do nothing. From his childhood, he learned all kinds of close-combat styles and martial arts, proving himself to be a genius at close combat as long as ki isn’t involved. As genius as he was, there was no way he could match those with powers, right? Wrong! Andel had another identity. He was originally a person from Earth who got transmigrated after an accident. Moreover, during his transmigration, he also gained a system that gave him resistance to various things in exchange for experience points. With the Immunity System in hand, Andel decided to finally step into this magical new world and make a name for himself, after spending twenty years in training. I was just like everyone else. At least, I thought so. Everyone grew up in a mansion with servants, trained to be a debutante, had a traveling archeologist for a father, and gave it all up to do whatever the hell they wanted. Right? Well that’s what I did. I was happy. As happy as a single twenty four year old girl can be living in an apartment selling shit online to pay the bills. Not actual shit, that's gross. No, I bought stuff from garage sales, thrift stores, and junk shops, and resold it in my online store. I was pretty good at finding stuff to peddle to my customers. I made rent every month and didn’t have to strip. I’m a bit too chunky to swing around a pole anyway. Life was great! Until two sexy men broke into my apartment and woke me up from the most erotic dream my sexually depraved mind could come up with. One was between my legs, the other was... Oh well, it was a dream and I didn’t even get to finish it. Those bastards! Now I’m supposed to believe my dead father wasn’t an archeologist, but some kind of paranormal agent working for a secret organization called The Guard. My ability to find items for my customers is just a perk inherited from him. And I’m supposed to use my inherited powers to save the world. All while these hunks of man flesh guard me from other paranormals out to get whatever the hell they think I have. A certain body part is dripping with excitement, literally. But my mind is saying “Hell No!”
