T A Y L O R 'S P.O.V

"Taylor, wake up, or I'm going to throw your breakfast away!" I heard Ana shout from the kitchen. I groaned loudly.

My eyes fluttered open. Clutching my throbbing head, I rose from my bed slowly, rubbing my temple with my palm in a vain attempt to ease the pain. My mouth was as dry as stale bread.

"I'm coming! Gimme a sec!"

I stumbled out of bed, shuffling towards the kitchen like a zombie. I rubbed my eyes as I walked in, the harsh white morning light reflecting from our white furniture. Slipping on my glasses, I noticed that Ana had cooked a delicious looking breakfast - perfectly scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, golden toast and a huge cup of hot chocolate. There were two plates, one for her and one for me. She was sitting down, a chunk of bacon in her mouth.

I know Ana. She always does something unusual or extraordinary when she either wants something from me, wants to know something or to coax me into doing something for her. Her cooking me food is considered unusual - I'm the one that makes her breakfast, always.

She pointed to the empty seat with her fork. "Come on, sit!"

"Wait," I said, squinting through my glasses, "Let me go brush my teeth and freshen up first."

She let out a sigh. "Fine! Just hurry, I kinda need to talk to you about something."

There we go. I knew Ana didn't make this for the sake of it.

I quickly walked to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and slipped on some new clothes. I walked back to the table. Ana was texting on her phone.

I sat down and began scoffing down the eggs. "That class I told you to go to is really starting to pay off," I stated. Ana chuckled.

"I glad you like my cooking," she said, gratefully. I smiled.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" I asked her. She lifted a brow.

"Isn't it obvious? The party, stupid!"

She drummed her fingers nervously on the table. That's weird. Of all things, Ana isn't a nervous person.

"I uh," she began, "have some questions I need answers to."

"Ask away," I said. I was in the middle of biting my toast when I realised what kinds of questions she meant.

Good god, I am not ready to tell her.

"Why did you think Darko might have run away?" She asked calmly. I shrugged.

"I don't know why, Ana," I said. "Maybe he just didn't know what to do and panicked. I know I would have if the situation was flipped."

"Why did you want to talk to him so badly about it after he ran away?" She asked, her tone becoming less and less calm. "I'm just confused as to why it's such a big fuss - don't guys usually cheer their friends when they get in with girls?"

I shrugged again. "I don't know. Darko looked hurt, I could see it. Just felt like I should clarify what happened."

"Interesting," She said, picking up her fork again. Absentmindedly poking the last of her eggs, she looked up at me, her face serious.

"Why'd you ask me if Darko was gay?" She finally said.

I shrugged for the third time. "I don't know. Maybe Darko is, it's the only real explanation to me as to why he ran away after seeing me with Bella, but as you said, he can't be. You know him too well."

She nodded, putting more eggs in her mouth. After swallowing, she stated, "sometimes, you never know a person completely, even if you're living with them."

Fuck, she's talking about me. She's been doing too much digging. She must know something!

After a few long seconds, she put down the fork and looked up at me, her face almost pale.

"Taylor, do you like girls?"

I lifted a brow. "Yeah? I'm not gay, Ana." I said. It's half the truth. I'm bi, so technically what I just said was the truth. Hopefully, that's enough for her.

I told one person, and that's already backfired on me. I don't want Ana to backfire on me; she's one of the only things that make me happy in this world.

We sat there in silence for an uncomfortable amount of time. Ana finished her plate and brought it to the sink. I was too busy thinking about last night to eat properly, so I was still chugging on, eating my breakfast as fast as a snail would.

She washed her dish. When she was done, she stopped and gripped the bench hard. Her knuckles turned white. She hung her head low, before speaking to me.

"I've been thinking a lot about last night, and there are still too many unanswered questions," She states, her head barely moving. After a second, she lifted it, her eyes looking directly at mine.

"I'm not going to beat around the bush, Tay."

She let go of the bench and sighed.

"Taylor, are you bisexual?"

I sat there, my mouth completely lost for words. Although I couldn't see it directly, I knew my hands were gripping my fork so hard that the knuckles were on the verge of bursting. I stood up, my nerves seizing control over my legs. I need to get out of here.

"I uh, I gotta go," I said, making way for the door. I stopped in my tracks when Ana began to speak. Her voice was choked up.

"I didn't think much of it, Taylor. I just thought of it as a joke because I always saw how close you were to Darko. Even at the party, your focus was on him. I just assumed you had best friend beef."

She looked at me again, running her hands through her blonde locks. "Do you remember anything that happened when we got home?"

I shook my head; my jaw was still wide open at that my sister guessed my sexuality. Every part of me wanted to leap through this door frame and forget that she ever asked me, but I knew that it was finally time. I turned to face her.

"What happened?"

She smiled weakly, walking over to me. She grabbed my hand and brought me back to the table before opening her mouth to speak...

"Muuuuuuuuuum! We're home from the party!" I exclaimed, dragging Taylor in by the wrist. He was able to walk, but he kept accidentally falling asleep while standing. Poor big bro. The uber ride seemed to make him really tired.

Mum walked out of the living room and wrapped us in a hug. "How was the party, dears?"

I smiled sheepishly, nodding my head to Taylor. "Rough night. He needs to sleep."

Mum chuckled. "Go put him to bed. You can come and join me watching tv after if you'd like?"

I shook my head. "Sorry, I'd love to, but I'm too tired. Maybe tomorrow we can binge watch something, okay?"

I gave her a quick peck on the cheek before dragging a very drowsy Taylor to his bed, wrapping him tightly in the sheets. I took off his glasses and swept the stray hairs hanging over his face that was hanging over his eyes.

"Goodnight, Tay," I said, quickly trying to leave the room. I flicked the lights off, but when I got to the door, Taylor said something that made me stop dead in my tracks.

"I love you too Darko... I should have kissed you instead."

"... You thought I was Darko, Tay. I didn't know what to think of it, but now I do."

She grabbed my hands again, her grip tender. "Taylor, are you Bi?"

My eyes began to glaze over. Hot tears had pooled in my eye sockets before they began cascading down my reddening cheeks. I have to tell her now, whether my mind knew that I shouldn't or not.

"Yes Ana, I am. Please," I said, my words shaky, "please don't hate me. I didn't want you to find out like this-"

Ana wrapped her arms around me, her hug fierce. I wept into her shoulder, my tears soaking her shirt. I felt an enormous weight leave me, my breath stabilising with every sob. I can't believe I just admitted that to her. I'm finally out to my sister. I'M FINALLY OUT TO HER!

"I will never hate my big bro. Dad would be so proud of you for being so brave - I know I am."

She released me, squaring my shoulders with her hands. She looked me straight in the eye.

"I love you, Taylor, don't you dare forget that. Your sexuality is never going to change my sisterly love for you."

I smiled. "Thank you, Ana, for being so accepting. I honestly thought you were going to be so angry about it."

Ana furrowed her brows. "Uhm, no? Do you know what this means? WE CAN TALK ABOUT BOYS TOGETHER!"

We laughed, the tension in the room vanishing almost completely. She smiled, lifting herself up and collecting my empty dish to wash.

She reached the counter before stopping. She looked at me, her eyebrows creased, then suddenly, her eyes beamed.

"Wait," she said, her lips widening into a smile, "oh my god, it makes total sense now."

I lifted a brow. "What do you mean? Huh?"

She squealed, nearly waking mum up. "It answers everything! You must have a big as hell crush on Darko then!
